And apparently, it stars Pikachu! Here is a very brief glimpse at the in-development title, courtesy of broadcaster NHK. Read… In the clip, you can see Ishihara saying that filming isn't allowed—and then, the announcer says, "This is the first time cameras have gotten in." You can see the Pokémon Company staffers work on its "super secret game," which stars Pikachu and looks to be a 3DS title.P Then, there are some frightening images of Pikachu. Totally frightening.P This episode of The Professional will be broadcasted in Japan on October 28.P Kotaku is following up with Nintendo and will update this article should the company comment. The as-yet untitled release is being designed for 3DS but may not see light of day until 2015, a report on Japanese TV revealed today (thanks, Serebii). Previously-shown images suggested that Pikachu could creepily copy your facial expressions, but these were actually a demonstration of the mo-cap technology used in the game's development that will allow the character to speak. A special-coloured blue Pikachu will also feature in the game, possibly as its antagonist. Nintendo has yet to officially unveil the game, which has only come to light due to a Japanese TV special on Pokémon Company boss Tsunekaz Ishihar. The report showed new screenshots that demonstrated the game's first-person viewpoint, where a player holding a magnifying glass is able to identify clues in a 3D environment. A Pokemon detective game? I'm intrigued, but also concerned it'll be something stupid like "who stole Pikachu's toys" or something, cause you know, Nintendo.
