That's a solid plan, and you have plenty of time to make a move one way or the other.

 

I have Wolf 2 slotted for my 10/10, but I'm leaning towards subbing it out for Doom (1993), which according to pst.org is a 10/10 on the latest patch.  It looks hard as hell, but not the 60+ hour timesink that Wolf 2 is.

Finally another update from me, finished Ghostrunner as my 7/10 today for platinum #9 in this challenge. And yes, i switched Yakuza 0 out because after playing Elden Ring for almost 3 months straight i just need some less time-demanding games lol. 

 

If anyone's curious, Ghostrunner is a fantastic game. Fast pace, high but mostly fair difficulty, straight forward trophy list and an insanely fitting soundtrack. It's definetly not the easiest game to get used to fast, but after it clicked it's a lot of fun and i highly recommend. 

 

Now, i'm only one step away from finishing this challenge and the longer i look at Wolfenstein, the more i wanna throw up. I think i play The New Order and The Old Blood first and decide whether i still wanna try it or if i should choose something else. We'll see.

I thought this too when I started but once you start to get the swing of things, it only becomes a matter of time before you beat Mein Leben. I suggest that you make saves often throughout your first playthrough to learn certain encounters and all the possible "variations" that happen between each attempt. I believe in you!

Yeah the plan was to go through "I am Death Incarnate" and use chapter select to practice the difficult encounters until i got a 9/10 success rate or something like that. After that it should be just a 3-4 hours don't F it up run. The whole thing is, it's just so god damn intimidating. 

I also have to admit, although i really like shooters, i'm not very good at them. I have to work very hard when i decide to go for such platinums.

Sorry man. You're like the third person to ask. Imo its important for the challenge that each person do each rating. If we allowed substituting higher difficulty platinums for lower ones, it would kind of defeat the purpose of the challenge. Can you find Slay the Spire on a community poll with an average of 5.1-6.99? If so you could use that as a 6.

Haha - nah - it’s on .org with only two votes (a 7 & an 8)…

 

I mean… I could vote myself, and drag it into the range I’d need…

…but that would be a level of machiavellian cravenness that even I just couldn’t bring myself to stoop to! ?

 

 

I totally get it too BTW - I think if higher rated games could count for lower rankings, it would discourage folks from trying to find good 1/10s and 2/10s - and there’s actually a fair few great games in that category, that tend to get overlooked or dismissed enough already!

Platinum #231! 6/10 Difficulty 

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG I cannot believe I finally did this! I would personally rate this a 9/10 and if personal ratings counted I'd swap it for my current 9/10 because this game is brutal. Well, the game isn't brutal, the trophy String it Together is absolutely soul crushingly difficult. I know some people didn't struggle with it as hard as I did but I got about 60% through this game when I bought it at launch and then rage quit and sold it because of this trophy. I recently repurchased it when I saw it was rated a 6/10 and hoped this challenge would give me the motivation I needed to complete it. I spent 7-8 hours spread over 3 different nights this week just on this one trophy and man let me tell you the relief was insane when I finally got it! I firmly believe this is the hardest thing I'll do as a part of this challenge since I don't even see Returnal being this hard.

Couple more games to add to the list! I finished up Oxenfree which was a pleasant surprise to be a 1/10 game. It was harder than I thought to find a game that didn't feel like a throwaway game that had a 1/10 difficulty. It makes sense that it's a 1/10 game since I don't think it's possible to lose. It's just a walking sim and so long as you keep moving, you'll finish the game. The other completed game was Rayman Legends (Vita). That one rolls in at a 5/10 for difficulty. That's probably a fair rating. Nothing in the game is terribly hard, it's just the total Awesomeness grind that makes it really hard. In theory, the Vita version should probably be a 10/10 due to the Diamond Cup in a daily/weekly challenge trophy. Only the top 1% can achieve that trophy, however occasionally there are glitched challenges where it becomes impossible to progress beyond a certain point. Everyone that reaches that distance ties for first and all get the Diamond Cup. I happened to start this game during a week where such a glitch existed so that trophy ended up being no problem.

 

Looks like I got the 'easy' stuff out of the way. Plenty of time left to get the hard stuff!

Yeah...I will have to agree, this game did feel like a 9/10. Had I not have the previous H&S experience with DMC, this would have utterly kicked my ass. Awesome game, glad to have added it here  

 

Now...where would I find another 10/10...that's not Hollow Knight because I don't have it in me to play that game

Oh no no no, I played enough Tetris on one of these blasted devices for 3 lifetimes. I doubt I can handle a tetris game without going insane (AND with a sub 1% trophy list).

So sadly I am not up to this task in THIS game!
