Elden Ring ~ Elden Ring

Platinum #223! 8/10 Difficulty

This is my game of the year so far. The world, atmosphere and lore were top notch combined with various improvements to the already great souls formula. Loved the open world and the sense of exploration. Loved the trophy list too. So much better getting all "legendary" items rather than every single item in the game like some other souls games. Highly recommend this to anyone, especially if you're looking for a tough but reasonable 8/10.

I'm halfway through It Takes Two with my wife and we're really enjoying it. Ima work on that with her and now that I'm halfway through the challenge Ima play Zelda: Skyward Sword HD for a while. When I come back to trophy hunting after that I'll finish up Stranger of Paradise.

Wow, what a crazy game Vanquish was. While not a long platinum in terms of time, it was definitely one of the most challenging ones I have ever completed. I switched off of Hollow Knight (for now) because I lost a ton of Geo while following a guide and rage quit haha. Now I just need to wait for the Jaguar XJ13 to reappear in the GT7 Legend Shop for my final trophy and platinum of this competition!

If you're interested in doing a second list you can start now have lots of progress by the time your first is done since I think it'll be a month or two before that Jaguar comes back around.

Thank you! I think I will do another 8/10 difficulty game first so that if I beat it before the XJ13 becomes available, I can switch it out and use GT7 for my second list. It is very annoying to wait on one stupid car haha.

Update #4

Quick update. I completed Oddworld: Soulstorm. After completing the prequel, I was excited to play this sequel. While it was a good, I feel like the platinum trophy was pain in the ass. At least they stay true to the original and it had multiple endings so I was fine that. I felt like I didn't waste my time whether I got one ending or the other. Right after, I completed Returnal. I had bought this game on release day and loved it. I had left one trophy before popping the trophy, with the hope of the developers adding more trophies and they did. I'll be tracking all other DLC trophies at a later date, despise of them not being required for the event.
I'm an odd person when it comes to popping my trophies. Since my satisfaction comes from getting 100% of them, I am careful on the placing of it. With that said, I also got all requirements for Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, but I haven't popped the trophy on purpose. At least, I'm making some progress on the challenge. Not like most of you beasts but I'm hanging in there ??

Thank you! I can tell it's going to drive me insane already, spent about an hour on it yesterday and was still about 2 seconds too slow on my best run!

I just want to mention about Bloodborne a bit, because TBH I knew it was a good game but I didn't except this much. It was amazing. Environment, playstyle, map and lore was stunning. It was my last FromSoftware game to be played before Elden Ring and it easily became my favorite. (I think BB>DS3=Sekiro>DS1>DS2). Actually, I don't want to say 'the best' but it is for sure in my all time Top 3. I am not so good with words, but what an experience. Hope to see Bloodborne 2 in some near future.

Congratulations on making Gold tier on your second list! I changed the color of the x2 lists to yellow on the main list cause purple looked just like a previously visited link. I'll do yellow x2, orange x3 and red x4. If someone is crazy enough to do more than 4 lists...idk what I'll do lmao. Good luck on Diablo 2!

YS 8 and DMC 4 gone for good

Ys VIII was actually harder to enjoy than i though after what IX brought (verticality, better visuals/ boss/ starting plot/ playable characters) but i can see how great he was before, especially for a game made on Vita 6 years ago (it's still a good game tho), my real issue tied to the storyline who slowly start to begin after 20 hours ! .. ?

Devil May Cry 4 was .... Boring at best but it's hard to complain about a 14 years old game after enjoying his "near from perfect" little brother that much... Apart from his gameplay there not so much to remember from him..

The Pathless was an amazing game and platinum journey. One of special gaming memories.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits was beautiful but the game mechanics really frustrated me.

Got 8/10, I didnt think I could be so amazed by an open world game after Witcher 3, but Elden Ring really hit the sweet spot and maybe even topped the list for me. An incredible game with so much amazing content, a beautiful world and a balanced gameplay.

A must play game for probably every one out there.

1/3 through the year and not really happy that I have not gotten any high difficulty trophies yet. Re Chain of memories is 6/10 or 7/10 for ps3, but 5/10 for ps4 even though the only difference is you have to replay it on easier difficulties, but alas I wont count that.

It's super cool that now that we're almost in May the tiers are really blowing up. Lots of people starting to complete the harder games of the challenge!
