What are these various exploits besides patch downgrade?

Depending on the workaround, they vary from patch downgrades to fiddling around with temp/alt accounts and other grey area stuff I don't fully understand.

Due to an update to Uplay (becoming Ubisoft Connect) older Ubisoft games might now have unobtainable trophies. I am unable to fully verify on my own but can confirm for myself that I can not connect to Uplay servers and can't obtain the "Sharing is Caring" trophy (thus the Platinum too) on Black Flag. There has also been a lot of discussion around this on the forums attached to the trophy list. And also here on Ubisoft's discussion threads. It is possible that an update might come around for their games. But doubtful due to it being an ongoing issue for over a year and their age. Best to list this as Currently Unobtainable at the least. As oddly enough I can still start up a multiplayer game. Possibly because that runs on a different server.

6 people got this trophy in the last week, but you’re sure it should be listed as Currently Unobtainable? And the thread here seems to indicate it’s still obtainable. UPlay was turned off long ago now, so this trophy just now becoming unobtainable due to UPlay closing doesn’t seem like a logical conclusion.

It is possible that I might have just been very unlucky the past couple days. Every discovery on PS3 for me has not been shared out due to connection issues. It's just what searching around online led me to believe. But I didn't look and see if anyone had actually gotten it recently. So thanks for verifying that. Gives me a modicum of hope lol. I'll retract that it should be put on the list if others are getting the trophy. Guess I'll keep trying in the future.

The best course of action would be to create a thread here: https://forum.psnprofiles.com/forum/2137-assassins-creed-iv-black-flag/

and try to see if others have the same problem.

Should Minecraft really be marked as unobtainable? There are people earning these trophies almost daily still. A lot of people including myself still have the Editions version and there are still people playing the multiplayer. They are fully obtainable if you have the right version of the game.

I'm lucky and the Editions button still shows for me without having to do anything but most people who start the game today, aren't that lucky so have to use workarounds and exploits to force the game to let them into the Editions mode, otherwise it's impossible to earn the respective trophies.

@HusKy BlazBlu: Cross Tag Battle has just been patched so the broken trophies are now obtainable and can be removed from the list .

Ok, but you could argue that these trophies are all DLC and people bying the game today just don't have access to it because it is in a way 'delisted'. You can still get this 'DLC' by getting an early version of the game. But I see your point.

Maybe it's just my weird logic but to me if these are marked unobtainable then all other delisted DLC should be too because people bying the games new today can't get them.

It depends. If you buy the game digitally now you most likely can't get them. The Bedrock Update locked out the old version which had the 'Edition button' needed to access the mini games. Some people, including myself, still had access to this despite purchasing it after this update. If you buy it on disc it depends what version you get. If you get a copy from before the Bedrock Update you can earn the trophies, if you get one from after you most likely can't. At least this is my understanding of it.

Either way it doesn't really matter, this was just me having a minor moment of panic when I saw them being suddenly marked as unobtainable after so long.

The devs locked out the Editions button for anyone who plays the game after a certain date after the Bedrock Update was released, thus you have to downgrade your game to v1.0 or use one of the other exploits that are available if you want to get the MP trophies. If you get the OG retail release of the game with Diamond Armour Steve on the cover, then it's easier to downgrade to an earlier version since all new copies have a version of the Bedrock Update hardcoded into them.

It turns out the devs quietly patched the Nuke trophies are few years back so you can get them done offline, thus there is only 1 unobtainable trophy in this game .
