Popular Post GUDGER666
Today, Far Cry 5 is getting a 60 FPS patch on Xbox Series X|S and PS5 as part of its fifth anniversary celebrations. Take down Joseph Seed and his Heralds at twice the framerate as you explore the different regions in Hope County and liberate its citizens. The 60 FPS patch applies to all of Far Cry 5’s game modes, as well as its three DLCs, Hours of Darkness, Lost on Mars, and Dead Living Zombies, making now the perfect time to dive into the backstories of Wendell Redler, Nick Rye, and Guy Marvel, respectively. In addition to a smoother visual experience, Xbox Series X|S players will receive enhanced resolution for Far Cry 5. Xbox Series X will be able to run the game with a 3840x2160 and 4K resolution, while Xbox Series S will run it at a 1920x1080. PS5 players will still be able to take out the Seed family at 2880x1620 resolution. Far Cry 5 is playable in solo or in co-op with a friend. If your squadmate doesn’t yet own the game, they can give it a test run during the Far Cry 5 free weekend running from March 23-27, which will also run on 60 FPS for current-gen consoles, or take advantage of the 85% discount at the Ubisoft Store from now until April 4. Conor
About time, now they should do Far Cry 4 and the older Assassin’s Creed games

Xbox one X was already at 4k, thats why series x runs it now at 4k as well. PS5 just stays the same as ps4 pro resolution wise. It's only a significant bump in framerate.
SectionHUN
Great news! Now they should do this with the rest, especially with New Dawn. That is basically the sequel to it.

LastMinuteSavior
Great news! I have the game sitting on my profile at 1% and this is a great incentive to go back to it. I recently played The Division 2 and the DLCs for AC Origins and AC Odyssey at 60fps on the PS5, and its a game changer. Extra smooth gameplay and eye-popping visuals. Kudos to Ubisoft for these patches.

Nabeel_of_Steel
In case of the PS5 I saw on Digital Foundry that even though it's still 1620p there's a temporal upscaling solution in place which upscales the image to 4K on a 4K screen and the difference between XSX's native 4K output is very minor. I'm extremely glad for this patch, Ubi has been doing a slow but steady job doling out these 60 fps patches. Hopefully more games get it, FC New Dawn is probably next and AC Syndicate is another prime candidate since it has major visual issues running on PS5 but fingers crossed for older games like AC Unity, Ezio Collection, Far Cry 4 and even FC3 Classic!
