The visual quality is simply fantastic, assuming, of course, that you don't get suckered into purchasing a bad transfer. I research movies before purchasing, unless they're recent releases, in which case they always look great. But beware old movies, they don't always get good quality transfers, and they sometimes end up looking even worse than the DVD.
