Popular Post Biscoito18
2nd Card 🌈🌈 Updating my card with: - Dead Island 2 for black: DI2 is the evolution of what I liked most about the first game (my plat #23): extreme carnage in the midst of a paradisiacal setting. That simple! The campaign is fast, the characters are fun, the combat is extremely satisfying and the graphics are spectacular. I was never bored and in fact I found myself purposely delaying completing missions because I didn't want it to end. I wanted to see more so much that I bought the Haus DLC, and again, it was gorgeous. It reminded me a lot of Stefano Valentini's parts in The Evil Within 2, especially The Deeper area. FANTASTIQUE! - A Short Hike for orange: The lack of a map and a free camera are a bit annoying when you're after some collectibles, but overall, this is a very relaxing and creative game. Popular Post Dezorak
Bringing in another and after owning it for way to long i finally sat down with Nier: automata. The game itself is pretty good bringing up a lot of questions and puts not only the characters views into question but also yours and visually is great for a game its age with its only issue is the recent ps5 update means after a certain point in the game its VERY prone to crashing which 100% put a dampener on it (i got about 20 crashes until i learnt ways to avoid the area as much as i could however there's a few points where your forced to fight inside it) however overall i enjoyed it. The choice in regards to your save file is amazing... at first I was willing no questions as i thought it be a fitting way to end the game and way to platinum until it pointed out that the help you give is so random it can even end up helping that 1 person you despise more then anyone. this actually made me stop for a moment and think if i was really willing to go forward with it as i think we all can think of that 1 person who we despite or resent more then anyone and it makes you question what you believe and asks you if your willing to stand by your views even in situations you know it would be upsetting for you. for me this was the moment i accepted that this game isn't just something fun to play but a genuine piece of art and i cant remember another game that made me actively question not only the game itself but also me as a person. either way even with the crashing i suggest playing it as the story is 100% worth it alone.

Popular Post Doodlebawp
Right side done 💪! Only four colors left for this card. Deep Purple - Blood Bowl 3: An average game bogged down by one of the worst RNG trophies I've encountered. You have 24 turns to kill 3 of your 16 opponents in a single match. The catch is that you have a 3% chance with every action against said opponent to get a single kill in the most ideal setting. More often than not you end up injuring that opponent instead of killing them, removing that player from the game giving you one less person to kill. It took me 20+ hours of grinding to get this one trophy and I got off lucky. I saw another person saying it took them over 50 hours. That's outside of the time it takes to get the other trophies. But hey, I got my first true Ultra Rare plat so I guess there's that ☺️ Light Green - What the Golf?: One of the most creative games I've ever played. If I explained why it's so creative I'd spoil the fun. An enjoyable little game that doesn't overstay its welcome. Worth every penny. Brown - Ape Escape: On the Loose: An absolute classic remade for the PSP. I realllyyyyy want Sony to get back to making games like this. A brand new Ape Escape game on the PS5 would make my day.
Popular Post Beyondthegrave07
Says he won't be back for a while... Is back like a week or two later.... Hello, I am back with my 10th game completed with Syphon Filter 3! I have officially finished the series on the PS4 by completing all the stacks for it. Overall, I think this one is the best in the series. The PSP ones were decent, but they played a bit wonky (control-wise) and the games were super-duper linear of go this direction, go this direction, etc. The second game was interesting, and I really enjoyed the story of them, but the stealth sections in that game were complete ass. They were devoid of any creativity (which I think is needed in stealth) and felt more like a maze of alarms than actual stealth. I felt like this was the weakest PS1 game in the series. The first one was great, but you can tell that it was really more of a test of what can be done on the PS1 and were not too creative with level design or objectives. The 3rd one is where I felt like they really figured out the level design thing and not making backtracking a mess, understanding where to start and stop a mission, well-timed checkpoints, and had some really cool designs for some of the levels... However, I want to add that there is one caveat to this. The mission CONVOY is so bullshit. The checkpoints are awful in this one and the game does not give you enough ammo to get through this level, especially towards the end of the game. I had to rewind so much in the last 2 sections because I would either run out of ammo, the convoy would take too much damage, or my partner Ellis would die while I was trying to pick up ammo. It also doesn't help that the checkpoints are so poorly timed in this that if you die after the checkpoint (after killing the snipers), you lose the chance to pick up the sniper ammo upon respawning which makes defending Ellis 10x harder. I also had times where I had literally zero ammo in the last section, and you can't pick any of it up because all the enemies are behind a barbed wire barricade.... It also started me off with zero ammo for the next level too as it took every last bullet of a headshot to get me through that part. Ok, rant over. XD Other than that one horseshit level, the game was great. I really liked how the story was set up in this one and told from a bunch of different perspectives with a twist near the end of it. The storytelling was quite surprising as the storytelling in the other games were definitely not done on this scale. Okay, for real this time, you may not see me for another month or so since I'll be finishing up a bunch of white and blue games which are already filled. Maybe I'll try to sneak something else in there and fill in pink or yellow or another easier color, but nothing is really coming to me at the moment...
Popular Post Breakingthegreen
Hello again friends, I've completed my 12th game earning me Rainbow Warrior status, (I hope I don't need to fight anyone... my muscles are squishy.) The 12th game in question is yellow and it's The Artful Escape and... hang on, that protagonist looked a little familiar. I'm just joking, I already knew it was him, I already played this game in 2022, but with it leaving plus I decided to clear off the PS4 version too. Now as per usual I'll give a review, and l want to talk about Uncharted. Uncharted is a good game, but I often see on Twitter that people call it a movie with gameplay begrudgingly put it. I think that criticism is dumb, cutscenes have been a thing since the SNES era, and the only reason why many modern games are getting called movies is because technology has caught up to the visions of the developers. All that being said, The Artful Escape is a movie with gameplay begrudgingly shoved in. Now that may seem catty, but in truth, I don't think that's a bad thing, but if you are playing this because you're expecting a new Guitar Hero, don't. The game is a 2D platformer/interactive experience, and it's not hard, I don't wanna talk about gameplay much, because there's very little to say, I'll just say that the guitar mechanics felt too limited, and you can only play one riff while you're platforming. All the "boss fights" are a game of Simon Says, but there's no penalty for making a mistake. So music is important to the game, is it goo... YES! I don't know much about music, but I enjoyed both the small amount of folk music and the glorious space opera that the game swiftly shifts into. Graphics in the game are also very pretty, I first thought the game used paper cut out animation, but I realised on this playthrough that they use 3D models that look like paper cut outs, and it looks really good. Especially when the scenes start to become truly insane. Speaking of insane, I would say the turning point is when Mark Strong starts interviewing you in a very referential style. Everything is very creative in this game, but in my mind they throw too much at the player, the game is 4 hours long and I played it all at once and it was overwhelming. Maybe if I split up my session into two, it would have been whelming. The story is a fairly well worn, expectations vs self expressions, but the aforementioned insane scenes make you forget any tropes... because now you're having a strum off with a giant moth. It's leaving PS Plus extra next month, and do heartily recommend this insane trip. Breakingthegreen's Poorly Defined Rankings of Twelve Games That They Played When They Weren't Watching Fox Videos Ranking up means that there's a new ranking coming up. (I didn't plan that pun but I love that it happened) Gnosia: Wonderful werewolf where we win when wicked wretches were wrecked. I'd die for Setsu, and I died for Setsu, repeatidly Dredge: A big tentacle came out the water slammed me in the first 30 minutes, and now I want some calamari... Inescapable: No Rules No Rescue (PS4): I was so obsessed with this game I made a mini essay about it and what it says about reality TV, it had to be at least somewhat good to operate that much floor space in my brain. The Artful Escape: This game is like eating 20 creme eggs in 4 hours. Max: The Curse of Brotherhood: Very fun, the only reason to save your brother is because you'll have a good time. Tinykin (PS4): I'm pretty sure there's a bug society in my bathroom, I'll vacuum later A Juggler's Tale: I only have hand puppets, I should see what controlling a string puppet is like at some point Foamstars: When I was younger I ate bubble bath... Now that I think about it, that probably explains a lot. Either way it was a fun time (even if Splatoon is way better) Dredge: The Pale Reach: A disappointing DLC, Dredge is a scary time, I felt nothing here. But Dredge is still fun. Clive 'N' Wrench (PS4): It's no Spyro the Dragon, but I admire it for trying. The Plane Effect: The Dune worms were in this game, I remember little else. Resistance Retribution: No one can make me play the DLC, unless you pay me.
Popular Post cstanci
Update #7! A lot has been going since I last posted at the end of February. Life and all trying to get in the way of me filling out this card. Kinda rude. ANYWAYYYYYYYY - I actually moved Omno to Deep Purple. These are the other new changes/updates: 1. Completed Tales of Zestiria for Blue (where Omno was.) Loved the game. I love all Tales games actually. But the grinding for the weapon fusion trophies was...simply ridiculous. Just a slog I had to get through after finishing the game that added nothing to it. It seems like those trophies were added JUST to extend the play time. 2. Finished up Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy for Maroon. I think last time I posted all I had to get was the outfits trophy. Got that a while back (and the plat) but haven't updated since then until now. 3. Finished Save Room for Brown. Actually a fun little puzzler for a super cheap price. Not mad at all about it. 4. Finished Hidden Cats in London for Orange. This game was solely to kick back and enjoy - and it hit that spot perfectly. Working on: 1. Working on X-Com 2 and all the DLC. Not for this challenge but just something I am trying to 100% even though it is going to be absolutely ridiculous. Got some of the harder trophies out of the way but there are still a LOT of insane ones to go. Especially with War of the Chosen. 2. Working every now and then on Mahjong. It's what I play when I need to chill/turn the brain off. It'll actually be Tan in this challenge if I ever get it done. Love seeing everyone's progress!!

Popular Post jh7459
Time for an update Deep Purple Tinykin: Really fun game a lot like Pikmin, except your "Pikmin" can't die so it's much more chill. Purple Thirsty Suitors: Could have gone with yellow on this one but I need a purple. Cool game about food, skateboarding, and fighting your exes like Scott Pilgrim. Light Blue Convergence: League of Legends based Metroidvania. I went with light blue because that is what I feel the vibe is in the artwork. Orange Contrast: Old PS3 light and shadows puzzle game. The text seems orange enough to pass to me. Red Spider-Man 2: That's red, baby. Black Lies of P: Bloodbourne crossed with Pinocchio. Liked this one a lot. Black background. Maroon Ultros: Psychedelic Metroidvania/time loop/gardening sim. Definitely an odd one but I really liked it. Went with maroon on this one. Tan The Entropy Centre: Portal-like puzzler but instead of a portal gun you get a time-rewinder gun. Bittersweet story that I liked a lot. Went with tan. Blue Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown: Great Metroidvania. My man's got the blue flames.
Popular Post ProfSeajay7
Sorry, I forgot I had just platinumed a game to fill in another spot. Tan: Unpacking (PS5) I had this at 90% for three months for a personal challenge but decided to throw it and just got the last trophy a few days ago. I have games set for Yellow, Green, Brown and Maroon, but I am shuffling between challenges and playing FFXIV a lot (my PS5 version on my second account) so I am not really focused. Also, I added in a third PSN account for games I will never get the platinum on but still enjoy. Kingdom Hearts II is on that account. (I just have ulcers thinking about Lingering Will... ) Edited April 20 by ProfSeajay7

ProfSeajay7
It's probably a good idea to note that I am glad I got my card to where it is now because I won't be able to platinum any games in May as I am taking part in the Kill Your Completion challenge for 2024 then and I put a restriction preventing me from playing any games except the ones on the list, so that means that I have to play catch up in June to get my second card completed before July. Also, I will be gone from my house from May 19th to the 22nd as I am flying to Utah to attend a charity marathon event where I watch people speed-run RPGs. I'll try to bring my PS4 Pro but I probably won't be able to synch up any trophies until I get back as I won't have access to a computer.
Popular Post D4T-V4UL7_HUN7R_
Bonjour amigos. The LIGHT BLUE rectangle on my first kaleidoscope card has been completed with Saints Row. It was a pretty alright game, although it did feel like it has lost its charm from the earlier saints row titles. The controls, to me at least, felt a bit clunky and unresponsive at times. Apart from one glitch I encountered where I couldn't exit my vehicle or pause the game, I enjoyed my time with this one. Onto the next! (which will probably be resident evil 4)

Popular Post DrBloodmoney
Two More Entries Down! Box: Green Game: "Final Fantasy VII Remake" A cheeky Autopop of the excellent first part of the FFVII Remake - I did auto pop, though, I'm the worst auto-popper in the world, since as soon as I did so, I then spent like 40 hours replaying the game in full - how's that for efficiency! 😂 Really, I just wanted to get back up to speed and get back on the horse before Rebirth, and to play the Yuffie DLC, which I did... below! This one feels very dark green, so I made a swap, and stuck Crimson Echoes into Light green, since it's much lighter than this, to make room. Box: Maroon Game: "Final Fantasy VII Remake - Integrade DLC" The DLC is interesting - it's the first part of the remake really diverging from the original game whole-cloth, and even introducing a new playable character... ...and it works! It manages to establish and give a lot of personality to Yuffie - a character a little underserved in the original game - understandably, given that she was an optional character there, and so featured less and had less impact in the overall narrative. The DLC is pretty linear - like the main game, but does a very good job, across two longish chapters, of giving her a more fleshed out backstory, and a plausible tee-up to her eventual joining of the party in Rebirth - the additional storyline with the boss and the wholly original material is a little underwhelming and feels a tad bolted-on, but it still leads to some interesting fights... and having Yufiie introduced with her own DLC is a good call, as her style of combat is quite different to the others, and getting a chance to wet your beak here is a good way to ease into the style for Rebirth too! This one is a little all over the place, colour-wise, but I think the overall effect is one of a Maroon-ish tone... so I'm going with that!

Popular Post Breakingthegreen
Hello again friends, this is a twofer post because these games I've completed connect together very thematically well, (well that's actually a coincidence, I was spent my time in a chocolate coma after Easter.) The 13th game is purple and it is named after what I said after the fifth Easter egg: I am Dead. In this game you explore the memories of the past in a stylised water themed location. Where a big personalitied older person has been dead for some time. And I this game you are a dead man (but the peaceful poetic kind, not the condemned sort) and as a ghost, you have the ability to investigate your surroundings inside and out in a very literal sense, cutting into the items like an x-ray. And you need to collect the elements of the dead to find someone who can save the island from the volcano that is getting ready to explode. Basic structure of the game is thus. You see a slide show of an object important to a character, and you then try to find the item in the room that you saw the story in. And this is repeated 30 times in the game, it's very chill and easy. There's another thing to find, Grenkins, in most rooms you'll be shown a cross section of an item to find, this again is easy since once you locate the item, the game will confirm it's right before asking you to find the cross section, it's slightly trickier than the main quest, but still a very easy puzzle. One final side objective is riddles, where you are given a vague description of a single object in the map, and you have a short time limit to find it. For these you basically have to have already found the item, and be able to link it to the oddly worded description. I did try to get these without help, but in the end I needed a guide; some of the areas that you need to check are just so big it's effectively luck if you think you'll be able to guess within the time limit (and I don't fancy your odds). The graphics are simplistic and charming, but the voice acting is where this game shines, every character has such a fantastic naturalistic performance and I was always looking forward to learning about characters from there own perspective after hearing about them the whole level from other characters. My main gripe is that the main plot point that prompted this journey just sort of ends. It's odd since it does get frequently brought up throughout the game, but was dropped in the final minutes. _______________ The next game is a light green affair, and it's Dordonge In this game you explore the memories of the past in a stylised water themed locati... (wait a sec... no no it's a different game). Where a big personalitied older person has been dead for some ti... (hmmmm...) You play as Mimi, both as an adult and as a child in her memories. Mimi is trying to establish what happened 20 years before after she lost her memory. While you do this you'll do scrap booking by collecting a whole lot of words, photos, stickers and sounds. Over the 8 chapters you'll explore and re-explore the environment along the Dordogne river. But it's not really open world at all, you can re-explore the house but the any of the locations that get added to your map are only there for aesthetics, you'll never go to the Market after going their in chapter 3 even if you want to. Gameplay is definitely where this game is lacking, this is a story first game, and don't get me wrong, the story was good, but it had three threads which when interwoven, don't feel they have the room to grow, these threads are surrounding the Gran, the father, and the thief. Because of this the final two chapters go so fast. There's an elephant in the room that I've been ignoring, because it's a good elephant, like an elephant that has made a red velvet cake. The game is beautiful, it has a water colour style akin to Beyond Eyes and Gris, but I'd say that this one is the best. There were moments that I thought that I assumed an object was a 2D background item, but you interact with it and it's revealed to be a full 3D object. The game looks stunning. Presentation is just generally solid, motion capture looks so fluid that I genuinely didn't realise it was used until I saw it in the credits and the music was also a relaxing experience. Overall it is a relaxing game that I'd recommend, even with the weaknesses that I've mentioned, a solid narrative whose presentation sells the experience.
