Agreed, light blue seems like the best (and maybe only color) that would really work if you ask me. I definitely wouldn't say gray is the dominant color.

Okay, then that just won't work. I was trying to fish for Grey. I can do something quick for Black and I know what Yellow and Green will be, probably Maroon, but Gray is a haze to me. (Not trying to do a delibrate pun. 😛)

This is a bad approach in general to do for this event imo. It feels like you are asking for help in bad faith trying to fish for answers you know (probably) don't make any sense.

 

Not saying asking for help or advice is bad, but fishing for answers seems a bit uhhh... immoral to me. Lol.

A small update since last time:

 

Trying to work on having the best possible matches based on the games I have platted so far this year. I think I can say that a few are near perfect matches, but I am still hoping to get a better match for light green, pink, tan & white.

I need a quick sanity check: would it raise any eyebrows if I used this for light green? I can't quite decide between that and 'no dominant color.' Not sure if it's a case of my monolingual eye being drawn most strongly to the English text.

TBH, I think it probably is, technically, a “no dominant colour” - but I wouldn’t fight the use of it for Pink or Light Green

Hello again! I've the 15th game done, and this penultimate game I completed the Tan colour, leaving me with a messy red patch I have to complete (before the police get involved 😜) Anyway the game was just added to PS Plus and there's no reason to not play it, it's Raji: An Ancient Adventure (PS4).

 

 

This game is all about a young woman, proficient in gymnastics, who is trying to save her younger brother from Mahabalasura (who as far as I can tell is original to the game's story.)  I'll be honest, I'm not comfortable talking about the game's broader story, because my RS teacher in school was terrible at his job and just showed us movies, and given how much this game leans on tales from Hinduism, I won't be able to tell tropes of the Indian story telling techniques since I'm approaching this as an outside observer. What I can say is that the game's story didn't feel like it finished and was setting up in a Moss Book 1 style and the game does feel like it could have continued as it was a bit short.

 

The Gods talk throughout the game in an Immortals Fenyx Rising style, but it's played entirely straight, it fills the dead air, but it wasn't that interesting to here the Gods constantly doubting Raji.

 

The cutscenes are in a beautiful shadow puppet style, but for some reason there seemed to be slow down which caused the audio and pictures to be out of sync, this may be exclusive to the PS4 version but it's worth mentioning.

 

Raji is also aided by the Gods who provide her with weapons that she'll use in combat and will also imbue a weapon with their element. The weapons are a spear, bow and a sword/shield combo. And they all manage to have unique uses and made me switch them out frequently, but the elements had too much overlap in my eyes, for example lightning could spread between enemies, but so could fire balls; lightning temporally stuns foes, just like ice.

 

After playing the game on normal, I am definitely going to praise the difficulty since I very often came out of fights after barely surviving, so it's a shame that it's boss fights turned out to be difficulty dips and then the final boss turned into a hell of a spike after the game demanded I use a new weapon which I hated with a passion.

 

Overall the game is good, even if there are some flaws that hamper your time and the time in question is too fleeting.

I'm leaning tan but red stands out more once you plug it into the kaleidoscope website. Blue could also be an option.

Oof. This is 50% Blue, 40% Tan and 10% Red. And yet somehow, Red seems to stand out to me because of the title and the shouting guy. Not sure if its the dominant color though 😆

Yeah, fair. Tan it is. Red will always stick out more against these colors but I think you're right about it not being dominant.

Last day of April Update:

Call of the Sea:  Didn't know what to expect when I started this game, but was pleasantly surprised.  Enjoyed the story and the graphics were a joy.  No glitches or freezes and the game ran smoothly on the PS5.  Game is set in the South Pacific back in the 1930s, and you are searching for your husband who has vanished while on an expedition.  Voice over was easy to listen to and the music haunting.  Puzzles were varied and not too difficult, but really enjoyable.  Nothing is missable as there is a chapter select you can access at the end of the game.   I'd give this one a solid thumbs up 👍 and recommend it for your library.

 

One thing is this is the first game from the PS Plus catalogue I have tried streaming as it doesn't download to the hard drive.  Worked quite nicely!

So anyways, I am gearing up for Kill Your Completion 2024 so I probably be doing any May platinums so I want your opinion on the game image for Hitman GO. White or Red?

 

If it's White, I'll be moving Jack N' Jill DX to Grey.

If it's Red, Final Fantasy VI will be shifted to Maroon. I have a game planned for the summer that has a Maroon game image, but I don't think I can platinum it before July.

2nd Card 🌈🌈

 

Updating my card with:

 

- Tinykin (PS4 version) for pink: Incredible collect-a-thon, super charismatic. I have the plats for both versions, but the PS5 version would fit better as deep purple;

 

- The Gardens Between (PS4 version) for green: Beautiful puzzle game with some very creative solutions, but what really caught my attention was the relatable and emotional story. We all had to say goodbye to several little friends throughout our childhood. Friends that we will never see again but that will always have a place in our memories. I remembered  some of mine while playing;

 

I'm "working" on the grey entry now and I'm still deciding what my light green will be. This color always gives me trouble. 💀

Game: "Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown"

 

A nicely designed puzzle-platformed metroidvania, with decent - if a little finicky - combat.

 

It's well designed and very elaborate level design is laudable, and there are some really well thought through puzzles and clever secret areas, but the game is a little let down by an overabundance of enemies that seem designed more to annoy than to challenge, a rather irksome over-eagerness to interrupt boss battles with cut-scenes, and a pretty rote and rather flat visual style.

 

The story is quite fun though, and there are a few areas where some nice visual work shines through - and while the voice work is unlistenable poor in English, it improves quite a bit when switched to the Persian dialogue - an option I appreciate being in there!

 

Definitely a blue - it's a bit debatable whether this one should actually swap with Carto for the Blue / Light Blue.... but since the two would definitely work in some combination, I'm just leaving them as they were!

Well, since I didn't get an answer to my last question, I decided to just change around the games as so, putting Hitman GO: Definitive Edition as White and moving Jack N' Jill DX to gray since it has some dominance of gray in the image.

Hi everyone. Recently, I've bought some older Resident Evil games and I'm trying to play through the series. I'm starting with the earlier games and making my way through the more recent ones. However, I am a bit stumped on Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0.

 

 

For Resident Evil I was thinking maybe it could fit brown or black?

 

 

For Resident Evil 0, I have no clue. Maybe brown? Maybe it's too complicated to fit at all?

 

What do you guys think?
