Popular Post Copanele
I will have to give an award to this event - it's by far the hardest event 😂 COLORS BE DAMNED! Popular Post Duke_Ryle
Two more entries done. Celeste for purple and Final Fantasy II for pink. That will get me to the halfway point for this challenge. It will be a couple months or so before I add another entry to this competition as I work on other things. If things work out the way I plan my next 3 updates for this event are going to be a Weird West theme with Evil West for red, Hard West for brown and Weird West for orange.
Popular Post Beyondthegrave07
Game #9 with Tinykin! It's a mix between pink and orange... perfect for a certain cancer-awareness event held by a very charming and sexy mod and could probably be used for either color in this event. However, I think it looks better under orange. Overall, the game was pretty fun. It is a 3D platformer that kind of has graphics like Paper Mario with a mixture of 2D and 3D graphics. It's a bit of a collectathon, but luckily it doesn't overstay its welcome. Nothing in this game is particularly hard and most of the trophies will be earned naturally. There aren't any missable trophies really either so you are not forced to use a guide either (which you really don't need one for the most part). Not the most exciting game, but I think it was a good game to play in between the grind of Star Ocean: First Departure (which I already have blue/light blue and can't use that game for this card anyways). I've finished 12 games this year and a couple of DLCs and can only fill up 9 spots. Unfortunately, the games I'm playing now and plan on playing next aren't going to do me any favors for this event either. Therefore, you may not see an update from me for a while unless I get inspired to start something new or decide to go back and finish something up.

Popular Post Breakingthegreen
Hello again friends, I'd slowed down this month because my next platinum was to be my 450th and I like them to be at least a little special. I was planning on it being Persona 3 Reload, but there is no way to have an organic first playthrough and still get the plat without having to play the whole thing through again... so instead I played a game that had a very high recommendation. Yes my 9th White game this year is Gnosia! Firstly you may wonder what made me pick this for a milestone, well there's two things: Firstly I'm obsessed with the TV show The Traitors, which I enjoy so much that I made a mini essay on my checklist analysing the themes and comparing it to Inescapeable which was all about how reality TV affects us. So yeah I'm partial to a stories using Mafia as a frame work. (I just realised I never explained what Mafia was... imagine Among Us but grown ups are talking instead of nine year olds). The second thing that made me want this game was @MissShake's review on her checklist, where she cited it as being similar to "I was a Teenage Exocolonist" and I LOVE Exocolonist to an unhealthy degree. But are they similar, Exocolonist features time loops and a non-binary asexual person who I'd die for, and Gnosia instead features time loops and a non-binary asexual person who i died for (and I did repeatedly). But what exactly is Gnosia and why do I recommend you all buy it? (If it wasn't obvious that this'd be a positive review. Basic rules for mafia: Two teams, crew who don't know who else is crew, and Gnos who do, everyone votes off a person in the hopes that they are a Gnos, and in between rounds the Gnos kill a crew member. The crew win if there are 0 Gnos left and Gnos win if they outnumber the crew. There are wrinkles added through the game, like a third faction that an nullify a win of either the crew or the Gnos, But that's the ground rules. Mafia as a game is fun and this manages to turn what is usually a party game into an engrossing single player narrative. But if it was nothing but mafia, you'd still get bored, after all there may be more combinations of a deck of cards than there are particles of sand on Earth, but the 5th game of Texas Hold 'em will still get a little samey. Fortunately you pretty soon get the opportunity to customise the games, you can be the lone Gnos against 14 crew members for every match if you want. Not only that but very often you see events, some of which are subtle little character info dumps, like who a character has a crush on, and some are horror stories that made me regret playing right before bed. A small one that I will spoil because it's funny, is that there is a character who is kind of a prat, so another charcter just straight up kills them for no good reason... the best part is that it's repeatable, I was informed by the killer on a future loop, "yeah it happened again...let's play Mafia," the fact they didn't get voted out was very funny to me. The artwork in this game is beautiful just look at this scene below, the soundtrack is haunting and powerful too if you let it play in between the rounds. Also the game has a very clever way to get to the true ending that is nothing short of ingenious, and plays with the mechanics of video games in a way that would be impossible for other mediums. Should you play it? Yes! What else do you think I've been trying to get you to do? Do I still prefer Exocolonist? ...Shut up, no it's not as good as Exocolonist. ProfSeajay7
I promise to get back to my second card. Sadly, the game I am working on(Dragon Quest Builders 2) can't be used as Light Blue is already accounted for, so I made the game's flag represent the challenge.... well, it would but I can't get a brown block until post-game. I'm almost done with that game so I'll be working on the rest of the second rainbow right after that. Good job on everyone keeping up with their rainbows!

Popular Post Breakingthegreen
Wow this one was short, I know DLC doesn't tend to be as long as the game it came from, but I did the maths and this DLC didn't have the same worth as the main game. But I got it on a 25% off sale anyway so maybe I should just shut up. My 10th completion is the light blue DLC from Dredge: The Pale Reach. So I've reviewed Dredge in January, and long story short, I really liked it, and I said I would buy the DLC when it went on sale. Now that I have, I think I should just wait for every DLC to release to before I play them to get a substantial amount of game, and judging by the newly expanded map, I reckon 3 more DLCs could be added in future (with one that I know about.) With Pale Reach, I started it when I woke up and completed it before noon. Let's ignore the length issue, because there's one big issue which made it massively inferior to a majority of the main game; if you've played the main game you'd know it's a horror game with the fishing job as the main core, but in Pale Reach I was at no point scared. This is likely in part due to the fact that my boat was already decked out with the highest speed possible and enough money to fix the boat a thousand times without ever selling another fish. But the other thing that contributed was this ice sheet's resident monster, which they show off in it's full glory before you can even enter it's domain, no other area in the game worked like this and it killed the horror. Also for some reason there was a Chekov's Eldritch Horror in the form of the games's main quest which threatened to have a very tense and intimidating end, and it just kinda sorted itself out. It wasn't even related to anything that was endangering, and I was unconvinced it was going to become a problem within my lifetime. There is a couple of new game elements, Ice can be used to keep fish fresh, but as stated, I had too much money already and this only made me richer with nothing to but except even more ice. There's also the Ice Breaker which I did like, the threat in this isle was intimidating before I acquired the breaker because there were very few places to escape the monster, and you were liable to wreck yourself while escaping anyway, but the breaker does make you feel much more powerful in this isle which now is escapable and fully accessible (Even if it does reduce the horror even further.) Overall I was disappointed, but mostly because of how much I like the main game, I don't know how much of it was because of its lack of fear or it being inconsequential, but I'd recommend playing this with the main game rather than as a lone expansion, there's very little done that wasn't also in the main game in a manner that wasn't as good or better. Popular Post Limitedsphere
Two new entries! Marvel's Midnight Suns for Yellow and Jak II for Orange. First a note on the colors. Marvel's Midnight Suns has quite a lot of orange going on with all the flames, but I believe yellow is the dominant color in the image. Yellow is featured on the detailing on all the armors it's just different shades of yellow. 50 shades of yellow to be more specific. Jak II is just pure orange so it takes the spot be default. I had a lot of fun with Marvel's Midnight Suns. Most of it intended by the publishers too. There has been a lot of talk about the cringe factor of the social sim elements in this game. Yea, it's a little bad sometimes with these store-brand Avengers but I have experienced far worse writing in other games. The games combat and tactical gameplay on the other hand is exciting and definitely kept me entertained all the way through the rather lengthy campaign. I'm the type who enjoyed x-com but ended up being stuck because the game simply is a bit to hardcore for my taste. Midnight Suns is more welcoming but allows for steep challenge if that's your jam. Jak II is one of my all time favorite games. But not in the version I played it here. Avoid the Vita Version at all cost. It runs like a slideshow where you get to carefully study each and every frame. You don't want that in an action game. Especially not an old school difficulty spike fest like this one. It's a hard game but lag and nonsense made it way worse. Don't let nonsense and lag ruin an all time great. Play one of the better ports instead! It took me ten years to finish this off because every time I picked it up, the quality of the terrible port made me too sad to continue playing.
Popular Post JayDeLosDioses
Completed my tan color / released in your birth month square and finally a game I can use in two challenges at once. Released 10 days after my birthday during the month of october, A Plague Tale Requiem is the sequel to one of the greatest story games of the PS4 era imo, A Plague Tale Innocence. There's gonna be some story spoilers later, I'll put them all in a tag, you'be been warned But first, the game looks stunning, like 9 / 10 for the visuals and how it feels, especially the chapters that are played on the island, yes I had a collectible guide and yes I made sure to get them first in each exploration area, but after that, wow. The visuals about the plague looked distusting, whenever I felt save during the story, the game looked beautiful, but the soundtrack always gave me some insecurity that something bad is going to happen soon, loved it. The gameplay is more or less the same, although I think the three different skills are a bit much and it took me a while to get myself to actually do NG+ and unlock the rest. It's a fantastic game to experience for the story, but completing it takes the magic away, at least for me. I think just having the stealth and opportunist skills and getting rid of aggressive would have been better, it just felt wrong mowing down the soldiers in my NG+ run, that's not what Amicia would do imo. Spoiler But now for the story spoilers... Another part why it took me a while to finish NG+ is the last few chapters. Sometimes I played not even 20 minutes before turning the game off again and do something different. Amicia didn't deserve that. It's one of those games you don't want to finish, I want it to end when you reach the island Hugo dreamed off, find a cure and just be happy. But going from having hope that the order thingy might have a cure in that sanctuary to learning that they just used the carrier as test subject, having your mother killed and in the end having to kill your brother. That's just cruel and it really hit me hard. I had a feeling that the order wasn't what you think it is when the Magister you meet during the beginning is rude and insulting. Hugo is a huge part why I like the games so much, he see's the world as a child, breaking up the suspence with his simplicity and rather dump things to do / say in situations. Afterwards I looked up if you can somehow spare Hugo, but no, if you don't kill him, Lucas will. So I'm kinda glad that I choose the "better" ending where Amicia and Lucas stay friends, because if he does it, Amicia also hates him. It's interesting to see where they take the IP from here, they teased a new carrier of the macula in the end with Amicia going out to try and help him. Me personally I had hoped for a cure and the end of the plague in this game and maybe a third game where Amicia and Hugo go back to their old home, rebuilding it, restoring their family name... maybe against some other old families who know about the story or something like that.

Popular Post Hurricane_Tanya
A lot more games added since my last update. Red Dead Redemption II for Red, this is easily one of my favourite games. I just love loading it up and going fishing or playing dominoes, or even doing some missions in online. I saved it for platinum 100, and I’m glad I did, but now I’m ready for some new games. I played Tinykin when it was added to plus, but only went back to get the platinum this week. It’s such a lovely, charming game. Powerwash Simulator had some more dlc, so that was perfect for blue. I’m not familiar with Warhammer, but the magical engineer/tech priest stuff they have going on does sound interesting. My biggest take away from the dlc though, is that I definitely don’t have the patience for painting the mini figs. Submerged: Hidden Depths for Light Blue. I enjoyed the first game a lot, but I wasn’t enamoured with this one. It just seems like a shallower version of the first one, but with better graphics. Sable for Light Green, at least I think it’s green. I actually loved this one, despite the odd frame rate choice (the player character is set at a lower frame rate than the rest of the game, kind of like the spider-verse suits in spider-man), and despite a few glitchy moments. I just loved the world and the exploration, how you can discover the backstory, and get lore from interacting with the npcs. It’s what I was hoping for from Submerged 2 tbh. And finally, more Cult of the Lamb is always a good thing. The Sins of the Flesh dlc added so much more lore too. It’s really a great addition to one of my favourite games. That was a lot, sorry. I’ll hopefully have pink and brown done soon too.
Popular Post Biscoito18
2nd Card 🌈🌈 Time to start a new card! 😄 I already have some colors done: - Tacoma, Mystic Pillars, Ravenous Devils and I Am Dead are easy and fast indie games. The last two were definitely the most fun and I recommend them to everyone. Also, Mystic Pillars has a transparent background so it's 100% yellow; - I'm also adding almost all of the Tomb Raiders from the I-III Remastered Trilogy. The only one missing is the The Lost Artifact DLC for TR3 that I'm going to use for blue in the future. It's been a super fun and nostalgic journey, but also quite tiring. I got a bit burnt out after finishing TR2 and it took me a while to get used to the increased difficulty of TR3, but I'll probably finish TLA this weekend; Tacoma Mystic Pillars Unfinished Business (Tomb Raider I DLC) --- Tomb Raider II --- Ravenous Devils I Am Dead Tomb Raider III --- The Golden Mask (Tomb Raider II DLC) --- --- Tomb Raider I --- ---
Popular Post D4T-V4UL7_HUN7R_
Howdy everyone, I only have 1 color to add for this months update, that being Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef for the ORANGE rectangle. I don't normally like 2d sidescrollers that much but this game was pretty fun, despite the really long load times. The trophy for buying all hats bugged on me, so I had to replay half the game on a new save to get that last trophy, but luckily its a pretty short game so it didn't take too long. Also the soundtrack is 10/10 I also have a couple of games completed that can go on my 2nd card if I ever get around to it so I'll hide those in here
Popular Post Reapover
Greetings again hoomans, I realized I could've updated this sooner, but anyway. I have 2 updates to make: I finished Astro's Playroom which unexpectedly, was actually really fun and I really enjoyed the gameplay (even the monkey suit part that I absolutely sucked at). Everytime I opened the game I thought it reminded me of Ratchet & Clank, a game I played on PS3 for the first time for like 30 minutes and then never again, I think Astro Bot reminded me of Clank is all lol But yeah, seeing PS's evolution and all the easter eggs was pretty cool. And then, I finished Superliminal which I also enjoyed a lot, specially the game starting with "Are you filled with feelings of self-doubt?" like how did you know?!?!?! But the message it gives did give me a bit of momentary peace, puzzles weren't overly complicated, and the speedrun trophy was pretty forgiving (despite me restarting the game twice because I thought I was over the limit time due to me reading the trophy specifications wrong 🙃). I have been trying to find games that I want to play for the colors I'm missing but I haven't really found anything so far, so the search continutes. 🫡 Spoiler --- Firewatch 100% We Were Here Expeditions: The FriendShip A Short Hike Superliminal --- Stories Untold 100% Hatoful Boyfriend 100% --- Astro's Playroom Carto Meet Your Maker --- A Light in the Darkness Death's Door The Callisto Protocol
Popular Post Treilio
Haven't updated for a while. For blue I got ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron. Originally released in 1993, this sequel doesn't play anything like the original first game, and instead is a 2d platformer. Your goal is to capture Earthlings with jars and send them back to Earth. The game points you to the nearest Earthling with an arrow, but just because the arrow shows that the Earthling is very close, it might require you to backtrack the level to find a way down, and this gets old pretty quickly. The level designs can get pretty annoying, with some of them feeling like mazes. One level has this very annoying part where you have to pick a correct door 10 times in a row, and if you pick wrong you get teleported back to the bottom... good thing you can save constantly, so you can just load your save if you pick wrong. But maybe you are like me where I finally get to the top and capture the Earthling there, only to find that the arrow now points back to the beginning of the level, because I had somehow missed 1 Earthling and now I have to do the doors again to finish the level lol. For green I got Frogger: Hyper Arcade Edition. This game requires a lot more effort to get all the trophies compared to Frogger Returns. Most of my time spent was trying to complete level 5 on Classic Frogger, where you have limited lives and if you lose them all you have to start back from level 1. I would recommend trying to complete other modes first, because they are easier to complete (except challenge mode) and help you get better at the controls. There is no retry button, so if you want to restart you have go back to the main menu, but atleast for me this had a very big change of crashing the game. I'm pretty sure I had the game crash atleast 10 times just for trying to go back to the main menu. For light green I got Guacamelee!. It's a 2d metroidvania platformer brawler. I would say I prefer it over the Super Turbo Championship Edition that added new area and new enemies to the game that I didn't really like, and 1 new game mechanic. I would say it's the best game out of these 4. For black I got Ghostwire Tokyo. I would say it's an open world first person shooter collect-a-thon, but instead of guns you have magic. This is now the first PS+ extra/premium game that got removed, that I was not able to get all the trophies for and now I'm stuck at 95%, but atleast I was able to get the platinum. The story actually felt pretty short, the reason it took me 40 hours to platinum, is because there are so many collectibles. Not sure if I will get 100%, maybe if I can buy it for under 10€, or it gets added back to PS+ at some point. Popular Post rjkclarke
White = Thomas Was Alone Tan = Return To Monkey Island Orange = Twisted Metal 2 Green = Borderlands 3: Guns, Love, and Tentacles DLC Brown = GreedFall Black = Grand Theft Auto IV Red = Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Pink = Haven (PS5) Grey = The Last Guardian (PS4) Time to get another colour on the board.... With a Grey for The Last Guardian.... Or as my buddy @Copanele so eloquently put it not too long ago, "The Shitdogbird Game"..... or words to that effect anyway .... Honestly - I do rate this game pretty highly, at least in a sphere of being a video game... It has an awful trophy list, which asks you to play the game in a very unconventional way in some aspects, but as a game itself I really do think it's worth experiencing at some point if it ever takes your fancy. Team Ico as a company have always been able to produce incredibly deep, insightful and thought provoking video games when given the opportunity to, and to be perfectly honest The Last Guardian maintains that ethos tremendously well. Much like ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, it uses brilliant visual storytelling techniques and minimalist dialogue, using events, and character interactions to really sell its story, and I think it does that very well. I found myself swept along and myself getting invested in the story between The Boy, and his furry companion Trico... I think the way The Last Guardian portrays that growing bond between the two is both beautiful and fairly realistic, as it becomes more and more apparent the more you play that Trico is capable of much more complex thought than just being a gargantuan beast.... I'll shush waffling about it now anyway, I guess if you want to read more, I can drop some of it from my status update into a spoiler bubble if you really want to read it. Spoiler Is it a bird? Is it a plane no it's..... Okay, so I guess I should rephrase that - is it a dog? Is it a cat? Is it a bird? Is it even a chinchilla? Well... I don't know, you don't know.... it's a Trico, which is an easier thing to write than the name I came up with for him.... Which was a Chincatillabirdog.... I'll erm, come back to that, I say what I see I guess? So as far as quick thoughts on this game go.... What a fantastic game this is... so long as you take the trophies out of the equation entirely, which I think when thinking about games in general you probably ought to do. I'll just say this now, the trophy hunting side of this game is pretty miserable, it's long-winded, has a lot of finicky trophies in it, which are tied to either un-trackable collectibles, or just playing the game in a pretty unnatural way, like standing around for 5 minutes at a time waiting for the game to tell you what to do.... That being said, it doesn't at all impinge on the games quality, when you just view it as game, or experience. Much like a lot of other Team Ico games, The Last Guardian possesses a real depth to it - a brilliant heart and soul, setting out to tell a particular story, and doing it using just minimal dialogue and masterful visual storytelling. That side of it really appeals to the film-maker in me I find it so refreshing when developers feel brave and bold enough to do this. It really does excel in this department. I really did feel a tangible bond with Trico the more that I played the game. To the point, where I found myself audibly being like "good job buddy" then giving him a stroke in the game when he actually listens to your commands 🤣 Also, the game looks stunning visually, and it's pretty tough to tell that this game has been out as long as it has. It's also got some great pieces of sound design in there, fantastic soundtrack - yet also in the fact that Trico's various roars and noises are cobbled together from other recognisable animal sounds, tweaked and pitched differently to create something unique. really great stuff. It's one of those games where although the trophy hunting side of it is a little rough, I still think this game is absolutely worth experiencing if you get a chance to. I have no idea what sides of the card are going to get filled in next, but I suspect it'll involve some DLC from Tiny Tina's Wonderlands if I had to guess 🤣....and I'll avoid my usual stupid comment about sides being more naked than the other... as this time around I've tended to evenly split the card as I'm progressing, not that it's intentional, I'm just playing whatever I fancy getting to next really. Either way, it's nice to see all of your progress, and as usual I've had a lot of reminders for games I ought to get to soon, from seeing how so many of your cards are filling out. 15
