poker_1987
I've just met up with Jack sparrow part 6 or 7. (I know these free games are low quality knock offs but Disney should sue) I have no idea what's going on. The graphics are nice as is the music. But the gameplay and puzzles are a bit basic. That Hugo kid is annoying as well. Does the first game explain everything and increase enjoyment of this?
DeadSpacer92
Yes I would really recommend playing the first game. It explains everything that is going on in the second. I've played both for free on ps plus and while I've not yet finished the second game, so far it's slightly better than the first but unfortunately Hugo continues to be annoying and at times feels like a baby sitting simulator. But it's worth playing the first game if you want to enjoy the second
Popular Post NathanielJohn
Yes, you absolutely need to play the first game. Like 90% of the reason to play this game is the story, and it'll completely fall flat without experiencing the story of the first game first.
PHIL_DADDY1
I guess I won't start this game yet, until I've started the other 2...
MarcusPunisher
I want to say that you can start Requiem just fine, but you will be missing out on many emotional payoffs in the future.

I agree. Gameplay wise it’s not essential to play the first game, but since Requiem is a very story-driven game, you want to have a full understanding of the character’s motivations and origins. ResiGamer_28
This one follows on from the last one and the story relies on it. You could play this without playing innocence but you would miss out on a fantastic experience and you wouldn't understand what's going on. Solid-Fisch
As others have stated, the game is very story driven. You defiantly should have played the first game for better understanding these factors: the strong emotional bound between Amicia and Hugo the tragedy the de Rune family has suffered from why Hugo has the power of controlling rats who is Lucas and what is his story what was the Inquisition what is the order of the alchemists + my very personal opinion: the first game was way better.
Wired-Warlock
It would indeed be much better if you played Innocence first. .
poker_1987
Nah, Hugo was crap. Edited March 25 by Beyondthegrave07 Removed end of game spoilers. Use a spoilers tag next time.

JAK-KRIEG
I'm kind of interested to see what happens with the siblings after the first game. I'm most likely gonna start it after my current game and with it being "free" why not.
