They have a B team?? Nonetheless this will probably be another un-inspired entry like DS2. Without Miyazaki doing what he does these games feel pretty bland.

Rumors say that DS3 is being directed by Miyazaki. We'll find out next week.

I loved Dark Souls II, but there's a thing about DS that I dislike: the graphics and the storyline. Graphics aren't that cool and it has everything but an interesting story. Overall I enjoyed the game so much and it was so frustrating and fun at the same time lol.

There is a great deal of lore behind the dark souls game, but you have to actively search for it. It's not handed to you on a silver platter but it certainly is there

After 4 games it really is time they build a solid and stable mp where you can easily connect to friends' worlds and have lag free pvp versus players from your own region

I hate that term so much. Dark Souls II's flaws are all time constraints, it genuinely has better gameplay than the previous one.

How? this is 2016. Dark Souls II released 2 years from the time this game is coming out. Do not count Bloodborne.

As for the actual features themselves, they sound promising but 15 bosses? and that whole ''make a bonefire'' aspect could flat out ruin the game. Might not be getting the full story though so i'm optimistic.

Didn't see this before, but I agree with most all of this. Whether DS2 had better gameplay is debatable (but honestly debatable - anyone who ignores the sequel simply because it wasn't Miyazaki's project is a worthless fanboy).

The story and lore is super interesting, actually. But you have either have to piece everything together yourself through item description, npc dialogue and the game's environment, or watch youtube videos from people who explain everything, sometimes in great detail.

I highly recommend these channels:

Actually I plated the game and tend to read everything, but I dunno, I'm a story digger, that's why I love books, tv series and video games; this game, however, explained me what was going on and stuff, but I expected so much more from the story because it's an interesting one, but I feel like they didn't know how to explode it.

Either way, I'm gonna watch these channels, thank you so much :)

Updated the first post with the new trailer form Gamescon. The gameplay sequence reminded me a bit of Bloodborne combat style, I wish there were more of it for a better comparison but the game itself is already looking great nonetheless and I can't wait to play it.

Last game of the series?

"I don't think it'd be the right choice to continue indefinitely creating Souls and BloodBorne games. I'm considering Dark Souls 3 to be the big closure on the series,"

http://www.gamesradar.com/dark-souls-3-final-last-souls-game/

Hmm, Game Informer says the same.

Honestly, I would love to know what they're going to work on next after this.

I did a quick search about it being the last game and found these:

http://kotaku.com/dark-souls-3-isnt-the-last-game-devs-say-1711971675

So who knows. I wouldn't mind too much if it was to be the last game. I'd like to see what else they can come up with.

As much as I love Dark Souls, it would break my heart if the franchise would eventually turn out like the Assassins Creed games, so I think discontinueing a well running franchise at some point is the right move.

That's what I think too, I'd rather look back and say we had 5 (I'll include Bloodborne) awesome games. Instead of thinking "Well these four are great, at this point it got boring, and the last few were decent but meh at the same time".

In saying that, I have enjoyed most of the Assassins Creed games, so I would probably be the same with Dark Souls. Like I said, it would be good to see what else they can create.

Spot-on. It's like a player retiring at the height of his career, versus continuing on until he breaks down
