Pokemon Shuffle mobile out now in the West

EDIT:

The top 5 for Mega Blastoise gave me a good chuckle. 4 players with Mega Gengar and 1 with Mega Manectric. Not surprised to see Zekrom in each team but there are 2 I don't recognize in some teams.

I decided to do an early item run. Managed to get 54078 which put me in the 500's. I used Mega Gengar since mega start isn't an option. I'm grinding out coins in case I have to do another run but I'm hoping I don't have to.

2 days later and my rank is 1064.

Almost done training my current team. Medicham and Kyurem are at lvl 9 and Reshiram and Shaymin are at lvl 8. Shaymin really makes up for Lugia due to its ability.

Idk why but seeing the name "Roger" in the top 5 keeps making me laugh.

EDIT:

Might as well avoid a triple post lol.

Used Victini to get Diancie from a little less than half way in level 3 to a little less than half way in level 5, a newly level 5 Muk to nearly level 7, sharpedo from level 5 to level 6, and blastoise from level 5 to level 6. (muk must've gotten the crown to go up so much)

Maxed out Medicham and Kyurem. Thinking I should have used Reshiram and Shaymin in the Victini stage but oh well. At level 9 it'll probably take me 2-3 days of solid Buneary grinding.

Well just got kicked out from the the top 20k -_- hopefully I can stay in the top 80k for once :(

What rank are you? If you are just losing your spot in the top 20K you should be able to hold a spot in the top 80K. 60K spots in 9 hours would be insane.

Bad event... had to use Attack Power+... wasted 5k coins just for Mega Stone...

Me not like.

I see it this way...5000 coins is nothing if it means you get an item that you can't buy or attain even on a somewhat regular basis.

Depending on luck you could farm 5000 coins off of meowth in a day.

===================

Other players must really be tying hard for this event. I'm currently 3678 with a somewhat steady drop in rank every hour. lol I actually lost a couple ranks while posting this.

Like, I don't mind it that much since I still have around 20k coins but I've always been able to get it without item run so it feels sad xD

On the other hand, having rank almost same to rank is kinda fun.

I wonder how many of these people get disqualified. :hmm:

No 9.99M so I wouldn't expect many.

I've never been able to place high enough without items to get the mega evolution and the mega speedup. :(

This event in particular I could barely manage top 80K without items. The best part about Blastoise is that it evolves fairly quick I think since you can only use 4 speedups. (while Charizard and Venusaur have 3 speedup spots. <_< ) so even though it's not as strong as Garchomp it should still prove useful.

New Events:

Safari featuring, Oddish, Gloom, Vileplume, Abra, Kadabra, Alakazam, and Tauros.

Beedrill 40 second timed battle as well as being a 3 pokemon stage. :awesome: Downside? Cost 300 coins to play. -_-

Mew

Wobbuffet with a free item stage. :awesome:

----------------

Really going to try for the 6 safari pokemon. I want Vileplume and Alakazam since I liked them in the original games.

Definitely want Beedrill with the hopes that it's a good poison type.

Caught Wobbuffet on my first try.

EDIT (3):

Wow my luck is unreal. Caught Beedrill on my first attempt. 3 seconds left and an 11% catch rate. :jaymon:

Vileplume...caught first time. Wtf is going on?

At a complete loss. I caught Alakazam on the first try as well. Is there a free catch promotion going on or something? I know I'm not this lucky.

Abra and Kadabra escaped me. Guess my luck ran out. :S

I'm not understanding this:

http://www.serebii.net/shuffle/pokemon.shtml

^if you look for mewtwo it lists him twice and the 2 mega evolutions. Do we have to own 2 separate mewtwos for this?

Mega Mewtwo X doesn't even sound as good as Y.

I really want Arcanine from the expert stages but it's going to take me months to get there. :(

Well, I'm pretty sure you can't have two of the same Pokemon so I presume you will be allowed to switch between stones.

Okay, gave a try to Safari and... I can't capture anything :D

Wtf, you stole all the luck :D

On the other hand, we have 2 coin stages this time. Little big stupid on requirements since coins are only being added as disruptions but at least it's not just one stage this time-

lol maybe you were right about the game giving me a break for my long streak of crap luck. I ended up using 2 great balls in the safari. One for Gloom and one for Kadabra. I am finished with all current events now though. :( Back to level grinding I guess...or maybe I'll start coin farming to get back to where I was for the next event.

Glad to see Venusaur is next. Now I have more of a reason to bring it from level 5 to max.

I want Pinsir and Gyrados really bad too even though Gyrados is probably going to cost coins to play.

Where do you find all this info?

Why would you want a Poison Mega? =D

Poison is useless typing as hell in here =D

Simply for fairy types. (looking at those punks Gardevoir and Xerneas) Steelix is next to useless unless the match has blocks. Mawile is decent but takes a while to evolve and is weak. Who knows though, Beedrill's mega ability could be terrible. :dunno:

I also...kinda want a mega pokemon of each type. xD Only missing 3 for now.

If Pidgeot's form would finally be revealed that would take care of a flying mega. (no info on it though as far as I've seen)

I could get Charizard's next time it comes around. (Blaziken escaping me every time got old)

Venusaur will take care of my missing Grass.

Well, Steelix is better finisher anyway due to Steely Resolve =D

While it is weak, its ability packs some punch, unless B-drill has something similar, the 10 power difference wouldn't be that useful.

Steely Resolve isn't helpful when trying to S-Rank. xD But it would help simply because most fights against fairy types result in me coming down to the last few moves.

I just hope that it has a good ability and not something like Diancie's where it's ultra specific. I'd be ok if it acted like Mewtwo's ability because Nidoqueen and Muk are my new power hitters for fairies. :awesome:

Mawile's ability is great because I usually get some good combos off of it. It's just that it takes so damn long to evolve for some reason.
