If you Google "Black Hound game" one of the top hits is this teaser site. It says Black Hound - A ##### ###### game.

That's where people are getting the Kojima reference.

I can't believe there was an app for this. But it seems it says: Is there such a thing as an absolute, timeless enemy?

If that's a reference to something, I haven't a clue what it is...

 

It's a Metal Gear Solid reference (what would I do without you, google?), that explains why I didn't know it. I really need to try those games out sometime though...

I can agree on that. Its abit silly to roll the credits after every mission, even if they are brief

Oh, I can't seem to find the image, but apparently before that site had the Dreamcast logo on it, it had something like "currently unannounced Nintendo console" in it's place.

I know what you mean, & I don't really have a problem with something getting released on that day, it's just the fact that there's a timer counting down to that date is kinda eerie.

Also, if this is some kind of joke by someone, having it set as that date would be in kind of bad taste.

It's also the number we call in the US to report an emergency. I think that's why those terrorists chose that date.

When I created the topic it was listed as unannounced Nintendo console. When they changed it to Nintendo Dreamcast I started seriously doubting this was anything.

Now it doesn't say any systems.

I've seen this before on the Silent Hill sub-reddit and gathered a few clues.

-The website did NOT look like this before. It read KojimaLives and had the Fox logo and the same countdown. The image files read "I_will_be_coming_back.png" and "and_Im_bringing_my_new_toys_with_me_.png". I don't have any proof for this but I saw the source code myself back then and it did say that. That is a quote from P.T. so this could be a revived/spiritual successor of Silent Hills by Kojima.

 

-This Twitter account was linked to the old layout of Ingsoc.org

 

-In P.T., the radio guys says "...when the neighbours called nine eleven", now I don't live in the U.S. but people there don't say nine eleven but nine-one-one, right? Oh, and that is also when the countdown ends.

 

-The Black Hound website layout (current one) had a new line of hidden code added yesterday (http://i.imgur.com/5xigKl5.png). It reads: "You're clever. Many of you will be selected to provide details to the world of Black Hound. I need only your names, for now. If you accept, Send it to [email protected]. Make sure the e-mail you use is one you can access at a later date. There is much that is needed yet." I sent them an e-mail and I got an automatic reply reading:

"You will be contacted in the future at this e-mail address with information and opportunities. Please be patient, as this process may take some time. Thank you for your interest in Black Hound!"

 

-Also, yesterday other than the new line of code, two changes have been made to the website. The console logos are gone. And also the name of the website has been changed from "Black Hound - A ##### ###### Game" to "Black Hound - The world is a big, scary place."

 

-The rabbit on the website looks like a slumped over Robbie from Silent Hill.

 

This is all very weird. It's an ongoing discussion over at Silent Hill's reddit. I think there are other stuff I haven't mentioned as well. This looks like Kojima's next project to me.

When referring to the emergency number, we more often say nine one one (some people say nine eleven and people will still know what you mean), but when we're specifically referring to September 11, 2001, we say nine eleven.

to be honest , all fits perfectly to kojima. He just loves to play with fans and do crazy shit just for announcments .    Phantom pain very first trailer, with moby dick fake company .  he loves play tricks and confuse ppl .

I find this really interesting. It's been years since I read 1984 but it's all about Big Brother and the upper class suppressing the lower classes and rewriting history to support their ideals. It seems like something Kojima would love to work with.
