errr.. uhmmm.. speaking of Birth By Sleep.. have to make an update:

had to remove BBS since I have popped the plat as my 6,000th trophy... not really sure also if I would replace it with another game... I was originally planning to get 3 more ready to pop games but atm not sure if I could still have them ready for next month >_<

Not sure why Dragon Age II has such a bad rep. The combat's certainly an improvement, and the story/characters weren't that bad. Was pretty fun, and thankfully Supplier somehow didn't glitch on me.

 

Being gone/busy for large chunks of summer is starting to catch up to me now... three more to go, but I'm not sure what to start/continue.

Well.. it's done. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself, now, for over a month. :/ In a perfect world, one of the places I applied at here would have hired me already, and I would have had a lot less free time, leading to this taking a bit longer. Might just have to add more games to the list as I finish them, play some without Plats, or pop them after the event.  :unsure:

Update: Participant #36

Just finished off Far Cry 4 last night. This has got to be my favourite game in the franchise, I really enjoyed it!

Also added Gat Out of Hell to my list, being on Plus and all.

New goal is to get Gat Out of Hell and Until Dawn done in the next month, which will bring me up to 11 to pop on PRD.

Two more ready as of tonight... that makes 18 ready to go. I've decided that I will try and get to 20 and call it a day. I'm ready to do some clean up and play some games that don't have a plat, or play some DLC that I haven't gotten to yet. So after my last two are ready, I will be ready for this event (I'm going to plat my games on August 19th as I won't be able to on the 20th. If that disqualifies me, oh well... I'm glad to do this anyways!)

So how are people doing? Any trouble with games? Did something good/funny/unexpected happen? Things you want to share, just post it. Also only 1 month left until the plat rain :dance:.

 

Will there be a Platinum Rain Day Round 3 because there is no way I can plat 10 games in a month.

Most likely, if there are people who want it.

 

hi i'm participant #24, unfortunately I haven't been playing much playstation at all and this is likely to stay the same for a while, so i'll have to leave this event.

 

sorry, but good lucky to everyone else!

I think I will drop out of Round 2 as I don't think I will get enough platinums by the due date. Been focusing too much on the THL. However I will be back for Round 3 (which hopefully it takes place around New Years Eve).

Hey, Dragon I'm going to have to drop out of this event. I don't have anything prepared and never did. Thanks for having me though. Maybe next time?!

funny story eh...let's see... earlier I was torn between 2 games that I want to add for the PRD (Ratchet: Deadlocked and Tales of Graces f)... so as I have finished adding them up in my DL queue... I browsed the posts in Most Recent Plat thread before posting there, I've read/learned that Deadlocked freezes, corrupt save files and glitchy and Graces f has not so likable characters + ridiculous and painful quests... oh boy... what fun... <_< hopefully I could decide for the last game I want to put in my list after finishing Odin Sphere...

After finally being done with hours of grind in Adventures of Mana... I entered hype mode and wrapped up IA/VT... surprisingly... as said before... I enjoyed the Step Up mode and I liked this game more... still don't love it though like the other rhythm games I played... *stare at the trophy that requires you to wear the costumes while playing a song that are 50%+ pallet swaps plus not all songs allow you to change costumes and 100 Perfects*

Wait...what? I platinumed Deadlocked, and didn't experience any of that. And Graces f has the most likable cast, and is my favorite Tales of game out of the ones I've played with trophies(Xillia, Xillia 2, and Hearts R are the others. And Tales of Monkey Island, but I don't think that's the same series.. :P). Grind for the Plat probably is long and awful, though. I never tried it, myself.

To me, yes. But you should probably take my opinion on that one with a grain of salt, 'cause I didn't get very far in it and really enjoy English dubs.

I never encountered corrupt save files and freezes while playing Deadlocked. Some skill points didn't unlock immediately and I had to retry them a few times, but that was about it.

 

Congrats with IA/VT Colorful, I know which image I'll be voting for as the nicest looking plat :awesome:.

My funny story is that my time management skills are awful and I won't meet my goal. :D Due to various factors such as helping friends with trophies, new games releasing faster than I can play them, and being a general trophy whore I won't be able to get my games done before the date, so I'd like to ask you to remove me if you would.

We'll see for round 3.

Sadly, that's sort of the reason I had to quit Round 2 too - I bit off more than I could chew. I fear that I might end up dropping out of the Summer Backlog Challenge too because I am losing time to so many other games. :(

Removing Uncharted 4 due to the statistics being messed up for me, and I'm going to remove Tomb Raider + TLOU Remastered due to them being time sinks, the same can be said for Creed III. Thanks again :)

 

Been busy recently plus I've been trying to get rid of DLC on certain games done, so I can remove them from my HDD even though I have 2TB. one. Same reason as Gage with so many games releasing, I won't be able to fit them on my HDD :P Thankfully I've got rid of my biggest eater Arkham Knight :)
