markie816
Completed the story mode of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Remastered. Great game, didn't expect how it went late game. Thought it was another kind of game:p. Some chapters were pretty hard to be honest.Updated stats:https://forum.psnprofiles.com/topic/57137-backlog-anonymous-the-event-to-end-all-backloggery-year-1/?do=findComment&comment=1727713
iLL-Mortick
#19 Wheels of Aurelia (NA) The game is tedious with it´s 16+ playthroughs. Easy tho, can be a little frustrating and will need to do the EU version sometime in January. Murdered: Soul Suspect next! Asvinia
Finished both Spyro 2 and 3. 100% Spyro 2, but not 3. Loved them both, though not fond of the changes they made to Shelia in 3. She looks like a bobble toy, or that she's been made 'thicc' for the furries. Spyro 3 was always my least favourite and this time was no different. I didn't encounter any bugs but I don't like the little amount of backtracking and the event doors. Camera was a bit fucky in places, but otherwise it's all great. Spyro 1 will always be the favourite with 2 close behind. 3 is the bastard child that was probably good that it was the last. Edit: That's 11 games finished this year. Edited December 25, 2018 by Asvinia

Popular Post iLL-Mortick
#20 Murdered: Soul Suspect Was not as bad as I initially thought, I´m usually the one who skips most cutscenes and unneeded time, yet I found myself watching a few because I could not resist. When I find this for a good price for PS3 I´ll def watch the whole story and not skip anything. Very easy platinum, used a video guide because of the tremendous 200+ collectables. Popular Post Paleblood
OXENFREE No difficulty to select Took me 5h to finish Bought it for about 10€ This is one great game. Oxenfree starts off as a rather usual tale about a few teenagers visiting an island to party. At the start you get introduced to the characters and their relationships to one another. It sets up everything you need to know about them effieciently and interesting. That's one thing I gotta praise right here, this game has such well written dialogue and rarely ever resorts to disguising smalltalk as story content. Which I've seen so many games do nowadays. It's not the worst thing in the world but it's filler content nonetheless. Oxenfree captures teenage angst in a funny and engaging way, reminding me of myself and letting me feel a kind of nostalgia that I don't see too often in games. Videogames tend to rely on visuals to create nostalgia and while the artstyle is fantastic, it's by far not the only thing this gem has to offer. The main comparison to draw would be Life is Strange since it's a story about teenagers with a supernatural twist to it. I played both games and the comparison is accurate, still I liked Oxenfree better than Life is Strange. Not by a mile but by quite a bit. Also the game is way shorter, which helps keeping the story focused and interesting. While there are a few collectibles you can pick up it's mosty a linear story you can influence with your decisions. I especially liked some of the more harrowing scenes as they were nicely done, artistically and story-wise. This was a story I was truly engaded in, I'm talking caring about the characters, hating the guts of a certain character, wanting to know the answers for myself, not for the sake of beating the game. Man, I was audibly gasping for fucks sake. Long story short: Great story, eerie atmosphere, amazing visuals and artstyle, good music with great sound design and an unexpected ending that makes you want to play the game again. I'd give Oxenfree a 9/10. Played on Xbox One X J
Caju_94
Since I'm on holidays I have some nice updates to do: I completed the following games: Cosmic Star Heroine Ratchet & Clank (Story) Mafia III (Story) Lost Dimension I also bought Spyro Trilogy and platinumed the first game. Right now, I started Onrush that I redeemed from PS Plus, and I am almost finishing Hyperdimension Neptunia Rebirth 1 and might as well, start another game for my PS4. I currently have 0 NG ponts now.
BlazzingWind
Two more games beaten Nightmares from the Deep 2: The Siren's Call A point and click adventure with a short enough story that it didn't get to boring. You get caught up in an adventure involving a prisoner Siren and Davy Jones, but the game feels a lot shorter than the first one. Not a bad game, just no real depth to keep you entertained. Day of the Tentacle Remastered Another point and click game, this one short and sweet. Nonsensical story about a tentacle monster that is taking over the world and three friends that get stuck in varying points of time to try and stop the takeover. This game can be beaten in two hours tops with a good guide and was short enough that it did not overstay its welcome which was a relief. For Christmas I got Uncharted: Lost Legacy (finally) from my little sister but I am not counting it as a purchased game. My fiance also received Sims 4 which I may or not play at some point. All in all, looks like I might be finishing the year with a point total of -5 and 34 games completed

Someone started: Elder scrolls online on my account. Will count it because it fucked up my completion rate again. Caju_94
A very productive weekend, indeed! Despite not having completed all the campaign events, I finished the final tournament and got the Founder's trophy which is basically the last tournament of the game (in which I obtained enough points to unlock it) and also finished Hyperdimension Neptunia Rebirth 1's story, getting both endings, and have my second playthrough started to get the platinum if I ever feel like it, which leaves me with 2 NG. Also forgot to mention I platinumed SK Estival Versus. Just started Freedom Wars yesterday on my Vita. With the January sale around the corner, and since I have really few Vita games left on my backlog, compared to the PS4, I might as well buy some games without removing actual NG points, but I will give priority upon completion of the few games that are left. ExHaseo
I think I'm finally done with Smash Ultimate. Got all 1302 spirits, beat classic and century smash with every character, got all of the mii outfits, and got all 876 music tracks. Still about a month until Kingdom Hearts 3. Still need to replay 2.8, to give myself a refresher on the specifics of everything happening directly before. But I'm not doing that until I can get another PS4, which is in about a week. Guess I'll pick a random game and just play that until then, haha.

What a fantastic idea! I have followed this thread for a while and since we are now in the new year of 2019, I'd like to formally sign up and clear up some of this backlog. My gaming goal for 2019 is to complete more games than i buy. I'm looking forward to being a part of things here. Alpsmile05
And finally another one finished: Game #21: Soma is a walking simulator in a horror setting, I call it a walking simulator because when you play on safe mode (and all trophies can be obtained in this mode) ennemies don't kill you. The game itself was therefor pretty easy and besides if you are interested in the story (which I wasn't that much) there's not much to it. I got it from PS+ so I'm not complaining but definately not a game I would spend money on. This brings me back at 3 points so I can buy a new game
Popular Post ExHaseo
Was trying really hard to save a gift card I got for Christmas for Kingdom Hearts 3 or Tales of Vesperia Definitive, but I made the horrible mistake of walking into Gamestop while my girlfriend was at Victoria's Secret today. Ended up using it all on the buy 2 get 1 free sale and picked up Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess HD, Under Night Inbirth Exe Latest, and the Azure Striker Gunvolt Striker Pack. All games I've been waiting for a good deal on for a while now. Still at 2 points, and I'm almost done with Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World, so I'm still set for KH3. But now I wont be getting Vesperia for a while. X.x

Popular Post gladiatorrrrrrr
Right, finally a small update from me. I have been playing BF5 constantly and haven't had time to finish any game ?. Until this week. I thought it would be good to pick up the backlog list again. Finished 2064 : Read Only Memory on the PSVita/PS4. My intention was to finish it on the PSV but the games crashed twice on me. Which is bad as the trophy Iron ROM - Play through the game in a single session and never use a load or continue, requires you to finish the game in one sitting. So I changed to the PS4 and had no problem (read: crash) to obtain this trophy. It is a highly pretentious game and playing through it twice was a burden (in my case 4 times). So that is another one done from the list. Since Sony has decided to stop all support for the PSVIta this year, I have been buying hard copies of games I already own digital. I don't count them as new game purchased. I fear that prices will go up a bit as the production of the cartridges has stopped and there is only limited supply available. These games might pop on my back log list, for instance I am currently playing Walking Dead 2, a game I already owned on the PS4. If I buy a new title I don't own I might use my game points if I am actually planning to play it this year, otherwise I see it as a collectible. For instance the LotR Lego games are withdrawn from the store and will be hard to get one on cartridge. Games I will purchase but not plan to play soon, if playing them at all. We still have one month to go before year 2 starts. I probably will redo my opening post as there are games on it that I will not play in the end. No need to keep them on the list. Oh...and Happy New Year! Edited January 7, 2019 by gladiatorrrrrrr
Popular Post ExHaseo
Finished up two games in one day, bringing me up to 4 points. First was Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World. It ended up being better than I expected based on my first impressions. It was still pretty bad, and unfortunately you can see a lot of problems that continue to plague the series that started with this game. It's like they noticed they can do considerably less work, and still make money, so that's what they started doing. The story was ridiculously predictable and pretty annoying at some points. Them trying to make Lloyd out to be the bad guy was especially dumb. Anyone who played the first one will immediately know it's bs, and the explanation for it was really dumb. And the twist towards the end was very obvious from the very beginning too. Having all of the characters look and act exactly the same as they were in Symphonia also made no real sense. It's been two years. You'd think there would be more physical growth or personal growth. The combat system was also pretty janky. It was way better to just mash normal attacks and mystic artes than try to use normal artes or do any combos, because a lot of the time the artes would just miss, and even if they did hit, they weirdly scaled the damage to do about the same as a normal attack anyway. This game was the start of no world maps which is a big minus for me. It's also weird that all of the side quests come from a vendor instead of actually talking to people. It made there be a disconnect from the side quests and main game. Despite all of the problems, it was enjoyable. Next up is Azure Striker Gunvolt! I fucking love this game! ASG is the Mega Man game we've needed for years. It does an incredible job changing things up while keeping the same feel of a Mega Man game. You've technically got 8 bosses, but they're spread out and not every one has their own level. You've got the boss rush at the end where you refight all of the bosses, but they're sprinkled more organically throughout the final stages instead of just all at once for no apparent reason. The story is still fairly simple, but much more complex and interesting than Mega Man. And while the gameplay is technically still a run and gun, the electric powers change things drastically. Instead of getting boss powers you get different equipment now too, like new guns that do different things. Instead of just having everything or having to find capsules to get stronger, there's also a level up system that lets you learn special abilities that make the game feel more organic. They also do a fun job calling back the Mega Man series with little things. Like that Gunvolt is blue as a call back to Mega and that his rival is someone wearing white with red trim and uses a shield, calling back to Protoman. Overall, it's just a really well done take on a classic formula that's needed to be done for years. It's not too surprising that the company that made the best Mega Man game (Mega Man ZX) were the ones to take it to the next level. They even got Inafune as a consultant for the game. So in basically every way, this is the spiritual successor to Mega Man. And it's the one we deserve. I really wish more people would play it.
Popular Post Edunstar84
It's been a very long time, but in the interim I've only completed 2 games - Rise of the Tomb Raider and Cat Quest. The great news is that I haven't bought a new game since the summer (I think), and the bad news is that January is my birthday month. I plan on buying handful of games.
gladiatorrrrrrr
Finished Walking Dead, season 2 on the PSVita. The game does have some technical issues but all in all it was an enjoyable ride. Shame it doesn't have a platinum like season 1. Pre-ordered Darkest Dungeon, the signature edition, for the PSVita. Did have that one digital but wanted to have a 'hard copy' on the PSVita. Haven't added that to my list yet, as mentioned before, will rethink my list for year 2 of this event. I am thinking of making a list I actually can play in one year, in stead of making a terrible long list of games I still need to play. It makes it better managable and on top it more motivating than staring at a long list that will never be finished. For next year I am planning to buy Division 2 but have no other games in mind yet. Metro is another game I keep a close look on but haven't decided. So in essence that means I will mostly be playing existing games .
Psy-Tychist
@Paleblood Will the new year start in Feb or are we continuing ad infinitum? Also, have finished Child of Light which was over 2 years old. As well as a couple of quick games. Have to keep my Artifex Mundi list up to date...
