eburkulosis
So Thanksgiving is among us for those Americans out there. A 4-day weekend of food, family, friends and football! Also, getting stone-drunk...but that didn't start with the letter 'F' But anyways! Lets get a little discussion going. What are your plans for Turkey Day Weekend? Whats for Dinner?! I like hearing how some people have non-traditional items for dinner. Personally I think the traditional Thanksgiving meal is bland and boring, but I still eat every last drop Where's the damn hot sauce?! Me personally I'm going to the Packers vs Lions football game with my immediate family. It will be the 17th straight Thanksgiving Day game we will have attended. Then we are having dinner at our house afterwords which consists of: Turkey with real and gelatin Cranberry Sauce Honey Baked Ham Corn Bread Stuffing Green Bean Casserolle Cheesy Potatoes Sweet Potato Mash Deviled Eggs Rolls of course Chocolate Pecan Pie and Pumpkin Pie What is everyone else having? I'm flying out now, so I should still make it for tomorrow.

eburkulosis
My family has a concept that, by the time we're ready to eat, every member has had at least 2 servings of Turkey. So, here's the alternative- Chili Pumpkin Pie Mashed Potatoes Kolachkie Come on now...what's Kolachkie?!

ScreechingOwl
Yeah we're rubbish we don't get days off for nothing. You're telling me, my former high school is about half a mile away from where Saint Patrick is supposedly buried, you can see the Cathedral beside his grave from the school. Do you know how long we got off school? A no school uniform half day. Half a mile away, and we get a half day. Oh joy .
navvy7
Whats this bonfire night? For the record, we don't get a day off for Halloween. Thanks Sorry, bonfire night is the more recent term for Guy Fawkes night. Celebrated after the man at the centre of the gunpowder plot. One to Wiki if you're not sure.
