Popular Post Hurricane_Tanya
Update 6, aka I’m running out of games to procrastinate with before I have to play Titanfall 2 again - Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star - 100% - Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge - 23% >> 100% - Never Alone - 100% - Spider-Man: Miles Morales - 100% - Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space PS3 - 100% - Titanfall 2 - 39% - The Swapper - 15% >> 100% - Doki-Doki Universe - 100% - Hitman - 2% >> 18% 1/3 Swaps I finished The Swapper and Monkey Island 2 this week, and also put many hours into both Hitman 1 and 2. I love point and click adventure games, they’re probably my favourite games to play, but somehow I have never played Monkey Island 2 before. It was a good time, great music of course, and the puzzles were t too bad either. I’m trying to think of there was a bit that I really struggled with. I think maybe at the end trying to figure out how to get ‘something of the head’ from LeChuck, but otherwise it was a fun time. However, I as still stressing out with the speed run, for some reason I thought it would be best to use an earlier save instead of starting over, and that was incredibly tight, especially at the end where there is some element of rng. I think The Swapper was my favourite game this week though. I finished Soma last year and kept seeing comparisons to this game so i decided to try it out. I was having a lovely fun time solving light based puzzles, reading rocks thoughts and following the other person around the space station. And then the ending happened, and the story clicked into place. It felt like it came out of nowhere, but if you played it again you could see the hints all the way through. I recommend it if you like puzzles, there’s no platinum trophy, and it’s pretty short, but worth a try
Popular Post Bumperklever
Update #7 This will moreso be a mid update. I haven't completed a new game, but I did made some solid progress in 2 of them. Driver: San Fransisco For this one I beat the campaign and am a good way into getting the challenges/activities/miscs whatever done. I think the game is good, but I expected it to be amazing. Maybe that is what I get for setting my expectation to high by watching Nick Robinson's video('s). I mean it has style, very goofy but fun humour and the "you are in a coma, but you don't know" gimmick is really nice. But I guess I expected way more crazyness and more in the line of the story? The general loop is basically 5 "generic missions" followed up by 2 missions that advances the story. And those generic missions are really hit or miss. There are also some other funky stuff in the general line of the story, but these are all very minor things and I don't feel like mentioning it. The shift mechanic is one of those mechanics that in theory is really cool, but in practice you will only use it for ramming cars since it is the easiest most effective way to use this power. Still it really defines the game. Oh and of course about driving, it feels a bit to 'icey' for my taste, but it's fine. Dreadnought For this one afk'ed my way till 900 completed matches (1000 are needed). That was enough XP for me to unlock a tier V ship and add it to my fleet for an easy gold. I did some misc trophies like getting kills with the secundairy weapon, getting a few elimination wins etc.. but nothing to major. For the misc I need just a few good boosting sessions to get it done. On the other side I did beat havoc mode... quite easily... Well the first try we got obliterated, but that was moreso for not camping in a good spot and then getting outrushed by the enemy. However 2nd try we got to wave 11 (for this trophy you need to get to wave 11 and then suicide) when an unfortunate disconnect happened. Well that was 90 minutes of beating this mode vanished to nothing ?. This seems to happen often though in this game, it seems the game isn't just able to reach wave 11+ without getting some kind of problems, because even in the 3rd try (which we got the trophy in) the game started to suddenly lag terribly, but I guess we were faster in suiciding this time. Current progress Babylon's Fall (PS5): 14% -> 15% -> 37% -> 60% -> 100% Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (PS3): 14% Driver: San Fransisco (PS3): 30% -> 67% Far Cry 2 (PS3): 37% -> Dreadnought (PS4): 45% -> 68% Front Mission: Evolved (PS3): 23% Medal Of Honor (PS3): 0% -> 67% -> 75% -> 97% -> 100% Medal Of Honor: Warfighter (PS3): 0% -> 15% -> 55% -> 100% Ratchet Deadlocked (PS3): 32% -> Conga master Go! Well done on getting Havoc. That trophy, and it's boosting, has been a massive in joke for a good number weeks now in party chats I'm part of. There's some daft Discord server as well for Dreadnought boosting. Which I totally did not for laughs repeatedly ask in for Havoc boosting. I noticed there's another troublesome trophy that won't come naturally. That's In the Nick of Time. The characters I used so far were just not that great at interrupting enemies frequently. Add to that that the enemies frequently target me and this being a trophy that requires them to to after my teammates, it wasn't good so far. I know it's easier with some characters, but due to the weekly rotations in the free edition, they are more than six weeks away before I can use them. I'll be done with the online matches long before that, so I'll to buy them to make it more efficient and get it done within the 300 required online battles that I need to win. So I'll do that once I'm done with this week's grind. Welcome to the team, Y'shtola (Final Fantasy XIV) and Ace (Final Fantasy Type 0). Those two are really good at interrupting enemies. I'm fairly close to the 10th title, that's one trophy that I'll probably get tomorrow. It will come at the same time as winning 100 online battles, which is also a trophy. From the four weekly characters, two of them (Warrior of Light, Emperor) reached character level 10 and got their title. So two more to go and I should still have four days to get the other two. That should be doable. I also like that almost all trophies are ultra rare and quite a few are rarer than my rarest trophy. Notable trophies: An Alias for all Occasions: Obtained fifty titles within the game. Titles: 9/50 (previously: 6) Hardened Veteran: Won three hundred ranked matches. Ranked online battles won: 80/300 (previously: 35) In the Nick of Time: Interrupted five enemy attacks in a single ranked match thirty times. Progress: 4/30 (previously: 0) Edited January 25, 2023 by viech54
Popular Post JayDeLosDioses
Update time, sorry it's been a while. I've finished Cyberpunk 2077, and it's probably the third best game I've played for this challenge. It's not a great game, far from it imo, but it's still a good game. Maybe they should have used the budget actuallly creating all the stuff that was promised and not use in on Keanu Reeves, who did nothing for me personally. I've enjoyed the story up to the endings, not really a fan of illusion of choice. Either let me choose what I want, or don't give me the choice, but a bunch of endings that more or less result in the same, please don't. Thankfully the trophy to buy all cars isn't so tight as the guides wrote, it's actully quite generous if you do everything the game has to offer. But that's probably thanks to new quests and stuff, I don't know. What I really liked was playing with different quickhacks and cyberware, although I would recommend the people of Night City to use NordVPN, this weeks sponsor. It's important to protect your personal data and devices. Even more so when a random merc can just hack you and install a suicide quick hack. It's also a great workaround for region locks, I personally use it to watch One Piece with english subs, because the german sub sucks. Which brings me to the other game I've completed since the last update One Piece Pirate Warriors 4, the second best game from the challenge. I know that I spoiler myself when playing those games that vaguely follow the story of One Piece, but I can't help it, they're just fun. Thankfully part 4 isn't an absurd grind like part 3 was, so it was a quick completion. Used the cash grind at the end to watch more episodes of the anime I've also played The Ascent in co-op with a friend, and it's a buggy mess. To a point that playing it isn't fun anymore. I have no HUD anymore after the first loading screen, sometimes the textures don't load at all, so I just have blackscreen with my characters, othertimes I can't use the right stick until we load again. On top of that it's a walking sim, disguised as a twin stick shooter. I can't recommend it in co-op, maybe it's a good game in singleplayer. Base game is nearly done now, mostly DLC left. Overall I'm missing 26 trophies for The Ascent, 20 from the DLC. Next and final update will be once I've finished them all

Taruta13
I feel for you, I honestly do. Try being a DPS and queuing up for raids in FFXIV. Pure waiting hell. Everyone is a DPS and almost no one is a healer or tank, which means that if you want to play hack and slash be prepared to watch Netflix episodes in full while waiting for that queue to pop. Another reason I quit FFXIV. ? Can you tell I am eagerly waiting for the thread for the Spring Backlog challenge?

So when I last posted last Friday, I had basically spent the majority of my gaming time playing WWE 2K22, and honestly I don't actually regret that at all, whilst the platinum is more than a little grindy by the looks of things, the gameplay really is an improvement over the past few entries in the series. That is no bad thing at all, as the series had become so stale and repetitive it's ridiculous. So the extended period of time between releases has really helped make the overall product a bit better. Whilst my completion is sat at 54% I've actually been setting things up to basically just end my time with it in MyFaction mode, which seems to be where most of the grind comes from, so at the moment I'm just plugging through all the other modes, and then doing my daily challenges when they come up, so that hopefully I'll eventually be able to get the platinum before March. I'm currently still really enjoying it though, which can only be a good thing, right? I also sat down to knock out the platinum blocker for Titanfall 2 earlier today, and finished the Becomes the Master trophy, this is one of those situations where the only reasonable thing to say is this...... If my scatter brained self can get that trophy then you sure as hell can, so I'm looking forward to seeing what Titanfall 2 has to offer - as so many of my friends have so many good things to say about it. So I'm hoping to get that one knocked out in the next week or so. As for my actual completion though, I had an absolute blast with The Shapeshifting Detective, I'm developing quite the soft spot for FMV games, but they tend to illicit the sort of reaction where, you either like them or you don't like them, there's never too much middle ground, but this one, I very much did like, and I'd totally recommend it for a nice bit of fun over an evening or two. Much like The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker, the killer is randomised every playthrough, so it;s genuinely quite interesting to see the different ways the story can play out, and how the narrative is actually crafted in such a way that all possibilities could be viable at all times. I'm really looking forward to actually diving in with a review on this one, as it's fascinating just how many possibilities for experimentation the developers accounted for that the players might try, and I loved that attention to detail. Right, I'll shut up waffling now, and actually go and play some games..... Catch you in the next one! BTW on are trophy run, we got the "healer cannot heal" modifier on wave 10! Probably the toughest modifier you can get right at the end of the round, but even then we pulled through. Popular Post StilRh
Hey loves, A bit of a bad week. An anonymous complaint has been made against me by a colleague at work so it's triggered an investigation. I'm sure this is something that has been misconstrued and I'll be cleared once the investigation is over, but it's been pretty stressful couple of days. Currently on 'paid special leave' this week (and annual leave next week) so at least I've got time to game. It's been a bloody good distraction from work stuff and I've made great strides in Hades, Potion Permit and Steamworld Dig 2. Hades has had me read up on some of the mechanics and plan runs more carefully. This has paid off in spades as I've cleared the main story and running 5 heat playthroughs without much difficulty now. I want to unlock some of the companion stuff through nectar farming and then go for the high heat runs. I think completing the plat is very achievable if the god of RNG is on my side. Portion Permit has been a cute and if mindless game. It's not anything like the quality of Atelier, Rune Factory, Harvest Moon, Graveyard Keeper or Starview Valley and the longer I play Permit, the more I want to play the aforementioned titles as they have more depth. Still it's a nice little time waster and pretty light so perfect to play with a show or audio book on in the background. I've found Steamworld's challenge dungeon very hard to complete due to a skill test (needing precision++ to platform jump to complete the level using mechanics not explained to you in the game). I think I'm going to put this back on the shelf for a bit, may come back to it and the gold medal challenge (no deaths, 100% secrets, 15K wealth and speedrun in a single run) but I don't see it happening any time soon. I've swapped Dead Cells for Void Terrarium++. I love roguelikes/lites but I'm finding some of the runs to be boring. I'm going to add the Dead Space remake to my challenge games as a commiseration prize for this week and early birthday present to myself for next week. Hope y'all have a better week than me Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream 28% Dead Cells 24% > SWAP > Void terrarium++ 0% > 52% NEW: Dead Space 0% Deathloop 27% Hades 34% > 57% Inscryption 10% Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III 10% Muv-Luv: Alternative 20% Pixeljunk Nom Nom Galaxy 87% Potion Permit 25% > 47% Resident Evil 5 36% Returnal 16% Slay the spire 39% Steamworld Dig 2 24% > 66% Spiritfarer 100% Tactics Ogre: Reborn 10% The Callisto Protocol 100% Platinum/100% 2/17 Swaps 1/3

I didn't have 9 titles before, but now I do. So no trophy for 10 titles yet. But I'll get there eventually. I made a bit of progress towards winning 300 ranked matches, but progress was slow due to the last notable trophy (In the Nick of Time), which essentially requires me to avoid winning on purpose because I need all the time I can get to interrupt enemy attacks. So it won't do to just knock them out three times in a minute or two to win the match. I have to avoid beating them up to give them more chances to attack, then time runs out and it ends as a tie. Even then there's a lot of RNG involved, enemies can just not target my allies and go after me instead, then it doesn't count no matter how many times I interrupt them. It only counts if they attack my allies and I prevent that. Y'shtola didn't help me as much as I thought she would for this trophy, but maybe I'm playing her wrong. At least that's my conclusion after getting 15 successful matches with Ace. Ace was a great help so far, he got most of the progress for this trophy. If RNG doesn't hate me (it does, it always does), I'll get In the Nick of Time later today or tomorrow and can go back to just beating up enemies for Hardened Veteran. Notable trophies: An Alias for all Occasions: Obtained fifty titles within the game. Titles: 9/50 (previously: 8) Hardened Veteran: Won three hundred ranked matches. Criminal Girls: Invite Only - Vita - 47% -> 56% -> 59% -> 71% Two more Girl's Endings done and dusted so now onto the post game. Death End re;Quest - PS4 - 17% -> 18% -> 20% -> 30% -> 50% God of War - Vita - 10% Brotherhood United - Vita - 0% SWAPPED Gotham Knights COMPLETED Blacksmith of the Sand Kingdom - PS5 Day of the Tentacle - Vita Till next time my Guys, Gals and Non-Binary Pals; Happy Hunting! Week 8 - Time is fleeting. I had the perfect storm of barely any work to do and bosses taking the Australia Day Extra long weekend to bust through a lot of progress in my list. God of War - Vita - 10% Brotherhood United - Vita - 0% -> 48% Not a bad pixel run 'n' gun with the right level of difficulty COMPLETED Blacksmith of the Sand Kingdom - PS5 Day of the Tentacle - Vita Criminal Girls: Invite Only - Vita https://imgflip.com/i/5g7vmt Sweet Baby Ray! I have now put the cartridge in it's case and now it is in a warehouse being looked after by top men. Top. Men. (queue Indy's theme) Also, Massive thank you to @Static_Rook for pointing me in the direction of the one hit kill setup for the endgame bosses. Death End re;Quest - PS4 Wow. The true ending was just so... underwhelming and as I write this, I have forgotten the character endings. Interesting premise and decent gameplay but those conclusions were just.. Meh. Now to deal with unresolved anger issues and kidnapped comrades. Till next time my Guys, Gals and Non-Binary Pals; Happy Hunting! Had a great time with this game! People in general aren't too pleased about the number of collectibles you have to get for this one but I did that much side content as I went along that it only took me an hour or two to mop up the rest of it after I beat the story. The bosses were awesome, but I think I preferred the 2018 bosses and Muspelheim over Ragnarök. Unpopular opinion as well but I liked Ivaldi's workshop in Niflheim in 2018, so I wouldn't have minded if it was in this one as well. Story is fantastic, and it's definitely worth your time. So moving on to Star Wars The Clone Wars Republic Heroes... which actually is the game that has the first trophy I ever earned on my account, so it'll be my longest completion when I eventually get that done. At the weekend I managed to get master difficulty done with my guy @rjkclarke plus got a load of the miscellaneous trophies done. We had a really good laugh at the masks you can buy in the game, the Tusken Raider one specifically... multiple times. Are we childish? Yes. Do I care? Not one bit. I'll go get the 100% on this one next time we're together, can't wait for that. Now Ragnarök is done I need to decide on what to play on my own, so I'm thinking either do Crash Bandicoot 3 or play some Valiant Hearts whilst I'm chipping away at Saints Row 3. At the weekend me and @rjkclarke will finally be getting some boosting done for GTA IV, and actually carry on with the dreadful game that is Resi Operation Raccoon City.

Popular Post YaManSmevz
Quick mini-update, don't mind me! Swapping out the Metal Gears, those're gonna have to wait til Spring as I am not realistically gonna get to those. Joining the plat race for Medal of Honor so that one makes sense, and I've got Altered Beast on the PS3, so that not only fits the bill but should also be some nice chill fun. Here's to finishing off January strong? 1. Grand Theft Auto IV ️2. XCOM: Enemy Within (3%)3. Dead Space (10%)4. God of War ️5. God of War II ️6. Dynasty Warriors 7 (0%)7. Red Dead Redemption (75-->94%)8. Enslaved: Odyssey to the West (20%) 9. Medal of Honor (25%) 10. Altered Beast (0%)
Popular Post viech54
Update #23 Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana: 0% -> 2% -> 8% -> 51% -> 95% -> 100% Doki Doki Literature Club Plus: 0% -> 100% Crystar: 0% -> 29% -> 50% -> 82% -> 100% Tales of Arise: 0% -> 4% -> 8% -> 14% -> 17% -> 27% -> 52% -> 100% Moons of Madness: 0% -> 48% -> 100% Crystal Defenders: 0% -> 35% -> 80% -> 100% Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Free Edition: 0% -> 21% -> 36% -> 47% -> 57% Swaps used: 0/3 Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Free Edition: Got In the Nick of Time and my 10th title. The interruption trophy is the main achievement here, now I no longer need to stall for time to get more chances at interrupting enemies and can instead go back to clearing matches as fast as possible. So progress towards the 300 ranked matches should be much faster now and titles will speed up as well once I'm done with the online part. That's when I can grind for EXP to level more characters so that they get their titles more efficiently without having to wait for a match for 5+ minutes. Offline matches also give more EXP. This will be the last update before getting the 300 ranked matches trophy. Now there are only two trophies left. Notable trophies: An Alias for all Occasions: Obtained fifty titles within the game. Titles: 10/50 (previously: 9) Hardened Veteran: Won three hundred ranked matches. Ranked online battles won: 120/300 (previously: 100) In the Nick of Time: Interrupted five enemy attacks in a single ranked match thirty times. Progress: 30/30 (previously: 19) That's it from me, hope you're doing well and making good progress. Have a nice weekend.
