Platinum #274: Humanity

I've decided to cut down from my three originally planned lists, to just two...so I'm combining them. Humanity was a great game. I wasn't even gonna play it until I saw my daughter start it out of curiosity and it looked awesome. Definitely recommend it. One of the few puzzle games that has the right balance of challenge without frustration. Next up will be FFXVI for my #275 milestone.

I just discovered I made a mistake with Severed Steel. There is no guide difficulty to be found with it, the one I found and used was for Severed instead, so I'll have to remove it from list. Since it's finally July in my timezone i completed 3 more games to get a couple of badges.

 

TMNT Shredder's Revenge is a good game based on TMNT, it was a lot of fun to beat down Shredder's goons and them himself too

 

Xcom 2 is a fantastic TBS but oh boy am i glad that there is an exploit to win easy. I played the tutorial just a few minutes ago and that feels like a big mistake in terms of story explained.

 

I hadn't planned to play Fall Guys again but after reading about the new custom game mode added earlier this year and with it some mistake to make it to win very easy i just couldn't resist the opportunity it's still fun to play a couple of matches every now and then.

I do have a question about the Repeat Offender badge for @Rebourne07: would you accept Catherine and Catherine: Full Body? I know they're not the exact same game but I'm not huge into stacking. I believe the games are different enough that I don't mind having them both on my profile, similar to Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal.

I could pop my platinums now on my third list because I was waiting for July with Life is Strange and to pop them in order. I misjudged the time I need for the 3rd list and finished the whole list before I could finish Monster Hunter Rise. So I guess this is now my 2nd list finished and I will declare my Monster Hunter list as 3rd list. Since the whole list is already done I guess it shouldn’t be to much work for you @Rebourne07 My badges for this list you can see below. @Rebourne07 Would Witcher 3 PS5 Version qualify for Old School? I was reading the badge specific rule again and saw the following rule, which the PS5 version of Witcher 3 satisfies (separate trophy list from the original):

• GOTY editions, Director's Cuts and games like that...don't count. The only exceptions would be if a game has a separate trophy list than the original release.

I will not be able to complete the platinum of Resident Evil 4 Remake (game was rented to me and I didn't have enough time to do all the playthrough) so I am asking to see if I need to do another change to my list or not to keep the Old School badge.

OK, y'all are freaking nuts lol The updates are getting insane now! The amount of badges and platinums is staggering! It's somewhat difficult to juggle everyone's updates and different styles of formatting so if I miss a badge or give someone a badge they didn't earn, please let me know and I'll double check. I'll also try to address all questions below but lemme know if I miss something.

The point of that badge is to play remasters, remakes and just generally older games getting redone somehow. VR1 -> VR2 ports are a lot of work behind the scenes, but they're still just ports imo.

@Shyjun Unfortunately Witcher 3 doesn't qualify for Old School. It's just a port and it does have its own trophy list, but its identical to the PS4 list. Games like Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal count because the trophy list is different. Witcher 3 shares the same list in content, it's just separate cause all PS5 games have to have their own list. Hope that makes sense.

 

Also, question to anyone reading this, is there a way to get access to a history of edits on a forum post? The main post's "Badge Leaderboards" section got screwed up and somehow the bronze tier leaderboard got copied over it...so I lost the badge counts for everyone. It wasn't necessary, just kinda cool to see how common or rare a badge was...but still it sucks it's just gone due to a bug...

No worries, thanks for clarificiation. I thought so too but i wanted to ask at least before i miss a badge haha.

Platinum number 6 on my first list done.

 

I wasn't going to post an update on this one (being a 1/10 difficulty) but it's been so long since my last update and I am a little jealous of the crazy progress of others. Well done to everyone.

I also gave myself a little extra challenge of starting my game linked to my Murica badge in July and popping the plat on the 4th. Which I did.

 

Life Is Strange - Not the usual style of game I play but I'm glad I did. The story keep me invested until the end and I never felt I was just playing an easy game for the Plat.
