Popular Post freddie1989
Final update!! Made some progress on Miles Morales but will probably only pick up 1 or 2 trophies tonight so gonna roll it over and leave it there. Not been too bad a run this time round, 3 completions (almost, Horizon will pop on NG+) and time is so limited right now I am happy with that. See you all on the other side! It looks like I've barely made any backlog progress since my last update, but I've actually mainly just been either finishing off, or making progress with games that are just a little bit too high for this challenge to be viable. That being said though - a lot of progress really has been made. I'm super close to my goal of 98% completion and I've gone way over another personal goal of under 500 unearned trophies too. I'll throw in a little brief run down of everything I've been up to, because, why not? Once a windbag always a windbag I got the platinum on Need for Speed Hot Pursuit remastered a good few weeks ago now.... a big thanks for fellow challenge friendo @oxford_wolf007 for being my partner for the online portion of the game... I'm sure we'll get to finishing those last bits of DLC trophies off when we're both at the appropriate level! I had a real blast with Need For Speeed though, much more than I actually expected to. I do occasionally get the big urge to just play a racing game, and then once I do I get majorly into them to the point where I end up playing them for absolutely ages if they're good, and this one definitely is. If you've lost faith in the Need for Speed series at any point (which is understandable) and never played this one, this might be worth a look. A few races and events have a decent amount of challenge to them, and as you'd expect from racing games a little bit of obnoxious rubber banding, but it's also something you can use to your advantage in some events, so that's worth keeping in mind. Away from the challenge I've been juggling a silly amount of games actually to the point where if you sort my list via recently played it looks very unusual ..... That's not a problem for me as I only ever look at it alphabetically, so I'm just seeing higher numbers getting added to older games... Anyway...... What have I actually been playing... So, @Redblaziken8 and I,had the definitely, probably - almost certainly, silly idea to finish our online grind that was left in the PS3 version of Bioshock 2 before our trip to Switzerland, which is where I'm writing this post from actually. 😂.... Which is what we did, we have now finished that, it was awful, but at least we had each other for company..... If you're going to be repeatedly holding X for twenty hours, it might as well be alongside someone you very much enjoy the company of. At least it's done, and we now have the complete series of Bioshock available to us to platinum. I also returned to Table Top Racing World Tour, went back for the DLC that I never got around to playing and finished that off for another juicy S rank, which ended up being an incredibly fun revisit. I then decided to fire up Mass Effect 3 and pop one trophy.... I think to give me some incentive to actually go back and get the platinum and 100% in that game.... Although my wallet is going to want to repeatedly punch me in the throat when I have to drop all that money on that expensive DLC In the same night as loading up Mass Effect 3, I then thought sure, why not, now seems like a good idea to boot up Dante's Inferno, a game you haven't touched in over ten years, and randomly decide now is a good time to finally tackle The Dark Forest DLC, which I then knocked out in about an hour.... yes, it gets even weirder this very same evening. Then, because I couldn't quite decide what to do I booted up Batman: Arkham Knight and knocked out some of the miscellaneous trophies that I still had left to do in the base game, mostly to do with the batmobile Then in the last week before coming to Switzerland I've mostly been playing Star Ocean: The Last Hope, as I'm working towards finally putting that game to bed by the end of the year, which I'm actually starting to make some really good, tangible progress with. That's been my gaming time anyway. It's been great reading all of your updates the last couple of weeks even though I've definitely struggled to keep up a few times, but I've tried to always catch up whenever I get a moment! I'll see you all in the next challenge! Which I hopefully knock a few more completions out on.... which I erm.... guess I should throw together a list for soon actually. Congratulations everyone! And I'll see you in the next one. Edited August 30, 2023 by rjkclarke

Yakuza 0 14% > 18% > 30% > 41% > 42% > 58% 15. Call of Duty Modern Warfare PS4 0% Final update of the challenge is here and I have hardly completed anything 😂 I have made a lot of progress in a lot of backlog games over 50% though, like getting all the BioShock 2 multiplayer trophies out the way, getting the 100% in BF3 (which took a lot of time) and getting some COD DLC and zombies done. Also wanted to complete Tomb Raider Definitive Edition before I started Rise, but it was above the 50% requirement for the challenge. Loved both of the Tomb Raider games I played during the challenge, and I'm probably going to end up actually doing Shadow of the Tomb Raider in the Fall and Winter backlog challenge, I have put it on there anyway. So might not have got a lot of games done but I've made a lot of progress on some really long ones, like Yakuza 0, MGS2 and Borderlands. Yakuza 0 > 58% I'm doing really well with the completion on this one, I hit around 94% completion before I left for Switzerland, so I'm super close to being done, it's mostly just the coliseum and Mr Shakedown battles I have left to do for the completion, and a lot of Dragon and Tiger which is like a boring Facebook minigame. I've really enjoyed my time with going for the 100% in the game though, and I've tried out of a few of the minigames I didn't do last time when I played it on Xbox, like a lot of the Japanese board games like Mahjong, Koi-Koi, Cho-han and Cee-lo, not a big fan of oicho-kabu though, just needlessly complicated for a really simple game in concept. Mahjong I really like as well, which I'm glad about as I hear most people really don't like the completion points in the Yakuza games. I've started playing through the story predominantly now, because some of the stuff I need for the 100% completion I can't do until later in the story, but I'm going to get the coliseum stuff done first, as that's one of the things I can actually do. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty > 64% Completed the very easy and easy playthroughs to get all the dog tags and got a few misc trophies out the way that I won't mention for spoiler reasons, well maybe the one for hearing Johnny's bowel noises in two places in the game, that's just funny 😂 I remember Rob telling me there were some points I could get trophies on my first blind playthrough but to leave it for now, can totally see why or it would have spoiled it a bit. Also carried on with the VR missions, and I just have one mission left to do as regular Raiden, then I'm going to work on the Ninja Raiden VR missions. They haven't been too bad so far, and I can tell my skills are improving a lot. I know they're going to get more difficult though soon, but I'm looking forward to that challenge. Yakuza 0 has been my main priority so far with wanting to make it my 100th plat, then I'm going to dedicate a lot more time to MGS2 as I also really want to start MGS3. Borderlands > 72% Me and Rob just started the new game plus playthrough on Borderlands and at first it was really easy because we were both super OP, and then when the enemies started to get on level they just hit way too hard. The balancing in the game is a little off. We're going to start the Claptrap DLC soon, get some levels and then finish the story on new game plus to farm to a higher level for Crawmerax. Popular Post oxford_wolf007
Final Update: 8/30/23 In Progress: Lawn Mowing Simulator (PS5) - 47% The Witcher 3 (PS5) - 2% AC Valhalla (PS5) - 0% Biomutant (PS5) - 0%-->20% Trigger Witch (PS5) - 0% Uncharted 4 (PS4) - 46%-->47% Marsupilami (PS5) - 0%-->97% NFS: Hot Pursuit Remastered (PS4) - 7%-->31% Completed: 6/14 The Artful Escape (PS5) - 100% Gotham Knights (PS5) - 100% Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (PS4) - 100% Persona 5 Dancing (PS4) - 100% TOEM (PS5) - 100% Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart (PS5) - 0%-->100% Swaps used: 1/3 Here we are, the end! Didn't quite make as much progress as I had wanted to, this summer was a bit busier that I expected it to be! I did knock out some games that were sitting around for a while, and made progress on other games that I had yet to start, which was good. Thanks so much to @rjkclarke for your help with those NFS online trophies! Like he said, it's a fun game. But, I did find it to be a bit frustrating and stopped playing about a week ago because I felt like I was not making much progress (over 30 tries on Vanishing Point with the freaking Pagani before I got the gold made me wanna quit, especially being off by 0.2 seconds about 10 of those times). We'll definitely get those last two online trophies sometime in the fall!! It's for sure going on my list for the next challenge. Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart was...okay. I'm glad I got it through PS Plus Extra instead of paying for it. It's really expensive for what it is. I also think I expected it to be better than its predecessor, and it wasn't. I was surprised when I beat up the villain at the end. I remember thinking, that was it? I played on normal mode too, so it's not like anything was particularly easy. I finished the platinum for Marsupilami Hoobadventure, but didn't finish the DLC levels yet. This was a fun little platformer, if you're looking for something that's not too challenging, I definitely recommend it. The Dino DLC is pretty fun too, but a bigger pain to complete. I started Biomutant, and I'm going to carry it into the next challenge, too. I'm not really sure why it had such bad reviews, I really like it. The world is amazing. The combat can be a little repetitive, but they provide tons of ways to modify your weapons, character, and the moves that you can do. I also like the post-apocalyptic story. Horizon is one of my favorite games, and the idea for the plot in this is similar (a company destroys the world), and you learn about it as you go. It's also fun to see the ruins of different buildings and the names they give common items from the old world (clothes-soaker, flush-stool, ring-dinger). Each NPC, despite being narrated by the automaton, seems to have their own personality. There was some frame stuttering when you finish a quest and all of a sudden you're Spoiler RIDING ON A TURTLE??? LIKE WHAT EVEN But other than that, I've had no issues with it. Also, maybe someone else who's played both will understand, but the tree of life roots in the sky reminds me of the big things in the sky from FFXV (can't remember what they were called). Overall this game is pretty comforting, at least to me. It has familiar elements from other games, which I really enjoy, but you can tell that the developers tried to make it their own. Alrighty, I'm done with this challenge! See ya'll in the Fall/Winter one!

Popular Post Spinacheq
Final update: So I technically did it. I finished the last game I swapped in. I would have loved to complete my original list, that is my fault for spending so much time working on Destiny and Destiny2 trophies as I found a good group of people to play with. All in all I had fun. I need to work on updates more, and I am thankful the next challenge is double run as I don't like to feel rushed at the end cause I made stupid choices in the beginning lol . Happy gaming all and I hope to see you all in the fall/winter challenge. Popular Post Hurricane_Tanya
Last minute update: - Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! - 100% - The Dark Pictures: Little Hope - 49% >> 100% - Tchia - 15% >> 100% - The Warriors - 14% - Chicory: A Colourful Tale - 100% I used my last hour of free time to finish up Little Hope. I enjoyed this one much more than Man of Medan and genuinely liked the characters. I’ve played through The Quarry too with my partner and I’m hoping the other Dark Pictures games get added to plus extra at some point as it’s becoming tradition to play through these together and talk about our theories of how the story will go Unfortunately I didn’t get enough time to play The Warriors. My partner rightly pointed out that I probably shouldn’t play it in front of the kids, so I’ll have to wait until next week to get back to it. Luckily Tchia was child friendly (for the most part) and my kids really enjoyed watching me play. Especially since you can become a bird and poop on demand 🙄. They’ve also decided it’s really fun to shout like Tchia as loud as possible at random times Only 4 out of 5 games completed, but I knew it would be tricky with the school holidays. I’m taking a break from the event to play games that don’t qualify, but I’ll most likely be back in the Spring event

Popular Post YaManSmevz
Summer Madness #10 8/31/23 What's up, all you beautiful challenge slayers?? First and foremost, a big shout to @MidnightDragon, our host with the most, and everybody who polished off this challenge with enviable ease. Lot of big names getting crossed off, you love to see it😎 It's another Incomplete for me unfortunately, but I didn't do as badly as I'd been anticipating: Silent Hill 2, I just lost the motivation to work towards that 10 star playthrough. No shame in that, I'll come back to it later. Wish I'd accepted it sooner! Obviously no progress on Silent Hill 3, cuz three comes after two. NBA 2K23 is done, and holy fuck does it feel good to have an NBA plat to my name. In spite of the grind (and the particularly gross encouragement of micro transactions), I had a lot of fun with this game and will definitely return to it. Especially since.. y'know. Going for another NBA plat? Hah! Ahahaha!! Yeano. Stories Untold was a fantastic experience, though one I feel like I can't talk about too much without giving shit away. I could've done without the PSA-ish aspect to the ending, but it was still a pretty potent slap across the face. Anybody in need of a horror lite experience, slap this on in the dark late at night. It'll only take like 2-3 hours and it'll be a great time. Lastly, Jazzpunk was a hysterical fever dream packed to the gills with Naked Gun and Adult Swim type humor. Definitely not for everybody, but I found the absurdism charming. This is a quick, easy plat, but I say anyone plowing through it just for the trophies is missing out. It was a real treat scouring every level for all the weirdness I could find, cuz good lord there was plenty. Okay! Thanks to everybody for bein here with me, as always it was a lot of fun. See y'all in the fall! ...er, and winter too. What with it being for both, and all. 1. Final Fantasy IX ️ 2. Silent Hill 2 (26%) 3. Silent Hill 3 (0%) 4. Trek to Yomi ️️ 5. NBA 2K23 (97-->100%)️️ 6. Popular Post StilRh
Well done everyone! I didn't manage to snag another platinum since my last update because there has been a major fire and then a staff shortage at work and I've picked up a lot of extra shifts to support. Shame. I completed the campaign for Valkyria Chronicles 4 and got far into Crosscode. I do plan on finishing these games at some point so I'll probably play them as back burner games over the next challenge. I've enjoyed myself this last 3 months. Usually on long challenges I start to get a bit burned out or bored with my games but in this case I've been happy to play them all the way through. It was a bit of a shame that Aliens and Miasma Chronicles had bugged trophies when I played them else I likely would be sitting on two more platinums (I was so distraught when I accidentally deleted my Aliens save too!). I hope to get around to completing all of these games at some point. Popular Post xItsLesterx
Update #4 Last update for the event and since my last update, I did very little. I got started on Star Wars: Squadron but I am not feeling the game so it's going to be painful to complete it. Those MP trophies are going to be the death of me. On a side note though, I basically completed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Not that it matters much because they were not on the list but I will be popping their platinum trophies at some point since I have an specific DUMB way to place my 100% games but that's a story for another day. Game List: Ghost of Tsushima (0% => 100%) The Evil Within (7%) The Evil Within (0%) The Callisto Protocol (0%) Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (0% => 100%) Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (0% => 100%) Star Wars: Squadron (0% => 1%) Good job to everyone in the event. Congrats and huge shouout to @MidnightDragon for hosting it once again. I will see you guys in the Fall/Winter Event.

I am damn proud of this one even though it took way longer than I ever thought it would. The rest of my list was way too ambitious given the number of other things I had going on this summer. That hopefully won't be the case for the next challenge, which I will be moving my remaining games to. Finally, congratulations to everyone who took a significant chunk out of their backlogs these last three months.
