It's ok if it rightfully does not count for this challenge. I remember this topic to be fun, so that's why I decided to come back and share at least some of my recent experiences. I wouldn't say I don't believe you, I was more looking at the fact you'v played Bayonetta 4 times?! Is that auto-pop surely or why would you do the same game 4 times LOL

I dedicated so much time in 2023 to try and finish it, made some progress but still have a long way to go. I'm at 332/390 combos, and my best score attack run I got to round 11 with my first character. I'm doing it without using pause exploits, to try and better read the opponent. It's super satisfying that I can see the progress I'm making each time, even if it is super slow. I know I'll get there eventually if I keep at it 😁. And over the past 12 months I've grown to love score attack, even if it does kick my ass, I find it quite fun lol 🤣 i have been wondering about persona 4 arena i saw it a few times on sale i am doing dragonball xenoverse 2 trying also for z rank and getting all the skills those are random drops but overall dragonball xenoverse 2 is really fun and lots of things to do though even after the platinum trophie wich i unlocked it

First time was for xbox 360. Also, keep in mind that Bayonetta's platinum requires 3 playthroughs: normal, hard and climax difficulties. Now, given I also got the 1000/1000 for xbox 360 around 12 years ago, it is correct to say I played the same game 15 times XD. Guess I like the game that much. Not to mention it is an easy and fast platinum. At least to me. Less than 11 hours for my ps3 run, so not a problem to me to play it again and again. Playing the same game multiple times is a practice I have been doing since I was 6 years old with my ps1. Long before trophies existed. Now I even get rewarded by trophies for playing the same game XD. I love stacking, I even have 6 platinums for Arcana Heart 3 Love Max!!!!! and 3 for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 just to name a few others. 53 minutes ago, maxfighter23___ said: i have been wondering about persona 4 arena i saw it a few times on sale i am doing dragonball xenoverse 2 trying also for z rank and getting all the skills those are random drops but overall dragonball xenoverse 2 is really fun and lots of things to do though even after the platinum trophie wich i unlocked it Damn, Xenoverse 2 I did not like it and I am currently sitting at a measly 7%. I even included the game for this challenge lol. In any case, I am totally willing to give it a second chance. In due time. I dedicated so much time in 2023 to try and finish it, made some progress but still have a long way to go. It's super satisfying that I can see the progress I'm making each time, even if it is super slow. I know I'll get there eventually if I keep at it 😁. And over the past 12 months I've grown to love score attack, even if it does kick my ass, I find it quite fun lol 🤣 XD. I see you are using Chie as your avatar! I tell you this: Chie was my easiest character to complete score attack with! First try too! I feel like she has the strongest auto combo and her instant kill is very reliable. But for novices I say Kanji is the easiest one. His grab loop is very effective. I might be able to complete score attack with Kanji without pausing. Then again, actually doing it is a completely different story lol. Naoto is another very good character thanks to her Hamaon super. Taking down the opponent without even letting him/her to awaken is so useful. Very reliable instant kill too. When you will complete score attack once, you will realize that also Akihiko, Yu, Elizabeth and Labrys are fairly easy characters to complete. Score attack battle #11 without pausing method is impressive. If I remember correctly, it's the battle vs Labrys? Her red axe is too powerful. 1 auto combo into her super is all she needs to win the round lol. If you get the platinum without pausing in score attack, then huge congrats. But, I do not think it's worth it. I do not mean to scare you, but I feel like it's fair to give you a warning. I assume you know the last opponent is Elizabeth. The other 12 opponents before her, they are all strong, there's no denying that. However, compared to Elizabeth I feel like they are just 'comfort zone'. I am not trolling. One simple combo with Thanathos is all she needs to put you in near KO range. Her SP automatically regenerate too quickly to the point she can just spam her supers. Getting spammed by Hamaon and Mudoon is not that funny lol. And once she awakens, she can fully heal herself very quickly qith Diarahan and spam Ghastly Wail which will directly KO if it grabs you. And if she wins a round, she can even use her Instank Kill. Not common, but it happens. It happened to me lol. Contrary to her normal counterpart, her instant kill only needs you to hit her once instead of 3 times, making it a very reliable instant kill and that means you should attack Elizabeth only when it is 100% guaranteed you will damage her or else she will just take her instant kill win. And there is no way to properly practice vs boss characters since they are not playable. I love score attack too, but it's a very unfair mode. Pause spam means fighting fire with fire. Oh yeah! I even learned a lot thanks to pause spamming. In brief, it made me realize stuff I was not seeing when playing legitimately and that knowledge made me better for all fighting games. So, the more reason I suggest you to use it. But keep in mind that it's still not a guaranteed method and might take some time to get used to, but it's very effective once learned. 332 combos is a solid result. If you have not done already, Akihiko has the easiest combo challenges, followed by Shadow Labrys and Labrys. Their completion can give you a boost in morale. Best wishes for your Persona 4 Arena platinum journey!

Only this time with a much smaller list. For the current challenge - bar getting The Order 1886 done, I don't think i'll have time to knock Dishonored 2 or Spider-Man 2 down 😅. The new Cult of the Lamb DLC is taking way longer than I anticipated, it's great, but the grind is real! Rocket League PS4 > 29% > 48% > 50% > 64% > 100% Games completed: 14/28 Swaps: 2/5 Barely any challenge progress this week but I have been working on some other games! MediEvil 4% I just started this game up since I've been meaning to play it for a while and at the time I was also procrastinating the MGS2 VR missions so I booted this up. I've never played the OG PS1 game but I'm having a lot of fun with this one so far, it's got a lot of charm. Looking forward to this one because I last played it just over a week ago. This one will be a nice break inbetween some really dicey sections of MGS2. Metal Gear Solid 2 > 80% Speaking of MGS2, I've been working on the VR missions for a lot of this week, and since my last update I managed to finish up Snake, Pliskin and Tuxedo Snake's VR missions. I didn't find most of them too bad really but the Meryl sniping mission took me about half an hour. I started up the MGS1 Snake VR missions the past few days and can confirm they are difficult and it's a big difficulty spike from Tux Snake to MGS1 Snake. You move a tiny bit the wrong way and you're completely done for. I'm still having fun with the VR missions but the sneaking 9 mission pissed me off so much yesterday after about 70 continues 🤣 noob. Did clean up the weapon VR missions last night too and I got grenade 5 done on the first try so I was pretty proud of that. Got 60% of the MGS1 Snake missions done with 35 left to go for the Virtually Impossible trophy. After that I'm going to play the Snake Tales which I'm really looking forward to. Followed by a final complete run on extreme with collecting all dog tags. I'll collect the ones on the Tanker as well as the Plant I think, just for completion even though I don't need to😁. On that last playthrough I'm definitely going to rewatch the story, it'll be a nice way to end the MGS2 journey I think before I play MGS3, which is actually on my backlog challenge. VR missions have been the bulk of my gaming time since Tuesday, and I'm just going to power through them now I think, though a relax with MediEvil would be nice sometime in the middle maybe, which I decided to swap in to my list instead of Resident Evil 1, since I plan to finish that later this year instead. Call of Duty: Black Ops II > 18% In my quest to clean up the COD games I carried on with Black Ops II with my zombies group. We got the main game trophies done for zombies which are so much easier than BO1. The TranZit EE wasn't too bad at all, and we managed to clean up the combined 3 trophies me and one of the group needed in the next game after the EE. We then started up Die Rise which is a cool but trippy AF map with a Japanese setting. Super cool! Will carry on with this on Mondays as per usual, but I need to decide when to boot up the main campaign. Beyond Two Souls > 48% Started up Beyond Two Souls again on the PS3 (because I can't get enough of PS3 apparently) after last playing it in 2017 and I'm surprised how good it is. Enjoying this one a lot and it's what I'm playing couch co-op with my SO. This one will get done eventually! Definitely tempted me to go back to the other Quantic Dream games a bit sooner than I might have done otherwise. That's it for my gaming progress this week. I'm going to carry on with the VR missions this week in MGS2 and hopefully complete them, then move on to the Snake Tales and Extreme run. Will likely play MediEvil if I need a break inbetween, and of course zombies sessions on a Monday night as per usual and I'm likely to pop some trophies there. After I'm done with MediEvil I'll finally be starting up Sleeping Dogs after years of saying I'll play it, similar to @rjkclarke with GreedFall, but now he's finally started it our promise of if one of us starts our long procrastinated game, the other plays theirs too. I'm excited to get to that one! See you in the next update everyone, it's been really nice to read all your updates on my daily train journey into uni. I'm finally done with Cities Skylines.... 100% completed 😄 I'm delighted I managed to get it finished during this challenge. I really enjoyed my time with this game, it was mainly a very relaxing game... until you'd get a death wave or have to do major repairs while working towards the What the...? trophy. I'm considering picking up the PSVR2 version sometime soon. I've made a little more progress towards Evasion but I really don't have a lot to say about it. I'm looking forward to the next challenge. The last event was the first time I joined and between this one and the last, I haven't completed one 🙈 for the next one I'm going to be more realistic and add the minimum amount of games and not waste my swaps like I did, especially for this challenge. Like always, I enjoy reading everyones updates. Keep up the good work and catch you in the next one.
Popular Post freddie1989
Update time! Not much to shout about but try to keep them weekly. Battlefield V is nearly done, just the remaining class and a bit XP grind to finish. I have just tried to have fun with this one and enjoy a bit of online against the remaining combatants who have played nothing else for 5 years. Much better than started out, top 5 finishes in most games now. Ideally would like to finish BF in January and knock out Metro in February and I will be happy overall then. Popular Post viech54
Update #0016 Final Fantasy VI Reached the halfway point of the story and got the hardest trophy out of the way, which is RNG-dependant. You need a party member to trigger an attack that kills the party or all enemies instantly and it needs to kill the enemy, not the party. Most of the time the attack hits the party. It can be made somewhat easier by pausing the game to hit the correct input, but the game is coded in a way that even if the player did it correctly, it is still random if the game accepts the input. Took me a few hours to get it. Story-wise, it's picking up and is up there with the better FF games. Got 3 of my party members back after we got separated. I'm aiming on completing the game this week. It might be a bit close, but if not this week, then early next week. As for my next game, it'll likely be the Final Fantasy VII Remake, a game that is not eligible due to being above 50% already. So might not have a 7th game for this. Tales Of Arise (PS4) – 17%-->23% -->100% (platinum)--> 85% (dlc released) --> 100% Seems like I completely forgot the rules of this challenge during my 3 months of absence, like having games already at above 50% completion before the start of this challenge which are not allowed. In my last post from a few days ago I mindlessly listed all the games I completed without actually checking the ones eligible for this challenge lol. Sorry about that. I removed 7 games and now my completed games list is fixed. I have 100% completed Tales Of Arise - Beyond The Dawn. I am so glad that I enjoyed it a lot! I reclaimed my 100% XD. I have 10 games left for this challenge. No way I can complete all of them by February 29th lol. Guess I will carry them to the spring challenge. Except GTA 4 since it's already well above 50%. So I completely lost this challenge, but at least I have 31 games completed which are lot. So I call it an honorable defeat XD. I bought The King Of Fighters 15, the Chinese stacks for PS4 and PS5 and I should receive them by mid February. I already have 2 The King Of Fighters 15 platinums and thanks to the Chinese stacks I will have a very nice opportunity to get another x4 stack! Seems like I am going to neglect my actual backlog again XD. I am aware of the existence of a x10 stack, but this might be too much even for me lol. Now, while I wait for my The King Of Fighters 15 games to arrive, I think my next game to play will be Valkyria Chronicles 4. Currently 52%. Not eligible for this challenge, but at least it's part of my actual backlog. Edited January 27 by CurseBanette

I can now I’m going to fully focus on Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, a game that I wouldn’t be able to use for this event anyway because I won’t be getting the DLC. That won’t be the only game I’ll be playing in February, but it’s the only one that I’m going to be getting trophies in. I guess I’ll keep my eyes peeled for the Spring event.
Popular Post viech54
Update #0017 (potentially final update) Final Fantasy VI Got the platinum. Definitely one of my favorite pixel remasters alongside the 4th one and also high on my list of FF games overall. Two trophies are worth mentioning: https://psnprofiles.com/trophy/21824-final-fantasy-vi/35-legendary-treasure-hunter: If you don't have this, you have to replay the entire game or at least a portion of it if you know which item you missed and you have a savegame. Then progress to the end of the game and get all treasure chests as it's not enough to collect them over multiple playthroughs, you need one playthrough that has them all. https://psnprofiles.com/trophy/21824-final-fantasy-vi/36-item-detector: Same for this trophy. Know what you missed or replay the entire game from the start. But ideally, you want to make sure you don't miss any of that. The problem is that quite a few areas are no longer visible on the world map, so you can't check previous areas and won't know what you missed. Not all of them, at least. For comparison, if you're missing an enemy from the bestiary, it is enough to get this one specific enemy for the trophy to pop. No need to play the entire game again. There are other missable trophies, but those are much harder to miss while following a guide. _____________ With that, all games on my list are complete. So what now? It'll be at least one of the following: Wrap up the Final Fantasy VII Remake (not eligible) Final Fantasy VIII (eligible) Final Fantasy IX (eligible) Genshin Impact DLC catch up (not eligible) Some other game. Would likely be eligible. I really don't know at this point. Next week will be an event in Final Fantasy XIV, this will take some time. Not sure how long yet, it's mainly farming. So there won't be any progress for a while. But chances are I can do this and Final Fantasy VIII, at least. VIII isn't that long, that would be doable if I want one more game for this challenge. Will see what I feel like doing. In any case, thanks to @MidnightDragon for hosting this event. Will be back for the spring challenge. _____________ Good luck with your lists, take care! Popular Post Fanatixa1
Hi everyone, Here's my update for this week. I got the platinum in Arcade Paradise this week. I really enjoyed playing this, and when I really committed it wasn't to hard. The trophy for getting all the goals in 15 games takes quite some time. Some games you need to practice a bit for, but nothing is impossible. I've also played quite some Like a Dragon Gaiden. I'm in the last story chapter, working on some miscellaneous trophies. Hope I can get the platinum this week and continue to the next game. Have a good week everyone! 1. Venba - 100% 2. Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales - 100% 3. Gravity Rush Remastered - 100% 4. Popular Post Buff_Cupcake
Update 9: Hey all, Hope everyone is doing well! I made a little bit of progress over the weekend getting a platinum for The Order 1886 The Order 1886 The Order 1886 is done and dusted. An incredibly short game (about 4-8 hours if you take your time), but also one of the best cinematic experiences I've had for a long time (possibly ever, in a videogame). I absolutely loved the world-building in this and the story hops along at a really nice pace accompanied by some genuinely outstanding voice acting. I doubt this will happen, but I live in eternal hope that we might get a sequel. Even though the studio is elsewhere now, I'm pretty sure the actual IP lives with Sony so, who knows? This world in the hands of a studio like Sony Santa Monica could very very easily be dipped in to create a flagship title. There is so much potential here to be capitalised on if the title was placed in the right creative hands. NOTE: Making some changes to my list In addition to completing The Order, I also got pulled into Monster Hunter World which now has me firmly in it's grip. So with about a month left of the challenge, I'm forced into thinking about a few list edits. I'm cutting two games (Spider-Man 2 / Under the Waves) and using a swap on the remaining one (Dishonored 2) to sub in Monster Hunter World. Monster Hunter World - 14% Here we go. I realise this is a pretty huge undertaking but I figure that if the worst comes to the worst, the % complete should still fit the event requirements for Spring when that rolls around, so I can always transplant it into that next challenge list if the option is still there. So far though, I'm completely hooked. I'm usually quite particular about multiplayer stuff in games. I can count on one hand the multiplayer experiences I've enjoyed in the past years. But the co-op in MHW has been a blast. I spent most of my afternoon and evening yesterday just jumping in and responding to other players calls for help. For anyone unfamiliar, you can fire an SOS flare during hunts and missions and it gives other players the chance to swoop in and provide assistance - so I basically did that all afternoon. It's been interesting to see a huge mix of very low rank hunters like myself all mixed in with super-high rank monster hunter veterans all working together. Not sure if anyone else is working on this game in the background but feel free to add me on PSN or send me a DM here if you want to do some co-op hunts together. I'm always about to generally lend a hand (timezone willing). Have a good one everyone and catch you in the next update! Monster Hunter World - 14% Assassin's Creed Mirage Alan Wake Remaster + The Signal DLC + The Writer DLC Alan Wake 2 Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Fort Solis The Order 1886 Cyberpunk 2077 re-release + Phantom Liberty DLC Spider-Man: Miles Morales - 100% Removed: Spider-Man 2 - 0% Under the Waves - 0% Swapped: Dishonored 2 > Monster Hunter World Edited January 29 by Buff_Cupcake
Popular Post Xhortastic
Definitely did not think I'd have any significant update left, but I finished God of War yesterday. Picked it back up last week, only a few days after my last post and just kept coming back to it until it was done. Great game and Ragnarok is definitely a contender for my Spring list. Only with the postgame cleanup did I get a bit frustrated with the gateways, 'loading zones' and the travel time in general, but all in all still a definite recommend. Popular Post gruffiiti
Update #10 Finally knocked another game of the list by finishing the dlc for AC Origins. Beyond that I made progress on a number of other games on the list but most of them will take some time yet to get that 100% completion. 1. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne - 50% --> 60% --> 71% --> 100% 2. South Park: The Fractured But Whole - 35% 3. Assassin's Creed: Origins - 22% --> 42% --> 71% --> 88% --> 100% 4. Outriders - 23% --> 26% --> 29% --> 36% --> 63% 5. Catch & Release - 14% 6. Steep - 7% 7. Don't Starve Together - 1% 8. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart - 0% --> 45% --> 100% 9. Tunic - 0% --> 8% 10. Shadow of the Tomb Raider - 0% 11. Norco - 0% --> 100% 12. Ghost of Tsushima - 1% --> 17% 13. PowerWash Simulator - 8% --> 29% --> 58% 14. Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales - 0% 15. The Last of Us Part 1 - 0% 16. Call of the Sea - 0% --> 100% 17. Tacoma - 0% --> 100% 18. Car Mechanic Simulator - 0% --> 49% --> 62% --> 100% 19. The Medium - 0% --> 50% --> 100% Assassin's Creed Origins (100% - 68/68 trophies) It took awhile as I kept getting sidetracked by co-op gaming or random dlcs but I finished up the last dlc in AC Origins. I really enjoyed my time with this game and the dlc was fantastic overall. I spent more time than needed going through all the Discovery tours as well as I found them fascinating and really well put together. Outriders (63% - 39/53 trophies) Completed all the side quests and miscellaneous trophies now so its onto expeditions now. Need to grind out kills and complete accolades yet for he platinum. After that its grind out Apocalypse tiers to take on Worldslayer dlc. PowerWash Simulator (58% - 45/61 trophies) Finished the 2 dlcs that were added and have now gone back to finishing the main game again. Still playing off/on in small bursts while focusing on other games. Really enjoying the game this way tbh. Tunic (8% - 5/37 trophies) Really like how the game just throws you into the fray to figure it out. Super cool the way the collectibles are actual pages of the manual and as you collect more of them they reveal things that help you along the way. First game I played on my new portal as well and it seems to work flawlessly. Swaps used (2/5) Games completed (8/19)
