Why are developers not using the trophy progress feature?

There's no mandate by SIE for developers to support it, though there definitely should be...

...but yeah, it's a shame that even first-party titles such as this one don't accommodate a visible fraction for grind/progress related trophies in their lists.

Heck, even if the developers did get to implementing it chances are it would've just been a lazy 0/100 instead of 0/5,000 in the case of For the greater good!. This is true for a good number of PS5 lists previously in which a developer/studio cared enough to make use of this feature but not enough to use fractions unique to a specific trophy's requirements.

It's probably not worth the extra effort for devs to really incorporate it.

(This is all an assumption) If any tracker is implemented, creating an in-game stat tracker for progress/collectables is easier using an engine you've worked with for years than it is to use third-party Sony systems for PS server tracking. It would also appear the feature is more open-ended to develop with no real Sony checklist or requirement compared to trophies. It would certainly explain why the few tracked trophies can be off, why different games use different values (percentages, x/10, whole numbers), and why only some trophies track in a game and others don't. This in conjunction of the already small group of people who would actually use trophy tracker feature just isn't worth it for devs to spend time on.

Even worse is "Game Help" (probably doesn't Help, aye 😏, that it's locked behind PS+ for starters) was really nice in TLoU Part 1 were it had a tab and a little clip for EVERY COLLECTABLE in the game, was able to Platinum it in one run with little issue.

Now in TLoU Part 2 Remastered they haven't done it and I need to have the PowerPyx guide up on my Phone (taking my eyes off the screen constantly, it also doesn't have as clear Images/Video to guide you along without needing to open a full chapter video on YouTube for example) and it freaking sucks 😒
