Alondate31
My fellow friends. Do you have any advice for BPM RUSH! Ex Mode? I am pretty much done with the game but can't get this done. Final wave just fucks me up everytime. Any suggestions about chips or general tactics?

Special skill you should have is “Pick Me Up”, as it still works in EX Mode I used the chip where battery dropped is increased (Lvl 3), Battery parry (lvl 1) and Invincible D parry (lvl 1) You wanna parry as much as you can since you want multiple battery drops, while going for beat hits when you can. This allows you to be more safe when healing with the special. For the final target/boss, I saved Hibiki for that and pretty much destroyed them. Going for Square,Square, Triangle combo puts them up in the air so you want to abuse aerial combat more than anything!
avalyanart
Well... few weeks ago I was complaining that I couldn't get to how to play it and today I finally got my sweet 100% it took me about 55 hours. Basically it was rather grindy than hard but still doable. Not even sure if I'll add this to my personal hardest plats list tho Rhythm master were more stressful and kinda unbalanced than hard at some stages. Also I shouldn't be worried about no damage boss fights because I got it almost naturally. And the DLC... man it was intense especially that BPM thing, thought my heart will leave me lol 9 hours ago, Alondate31 said: My fellow friends. Do you have any advice for BPM RUSH! Ex Mode? And my chips set were: Rhythm Meter Rush Lv.3, Peppermint Shock Jump Lv.1, Macaron's Lucky Punch Lv.1. I just spammed default Square Square Square combo the whole time and called assists, beat it my first try on Ex Mode this way Edited April 6 by avalyanart
zemiguelreis
Just got 100% as well. I've been reading this thread from the shadows and some of the tips were very helpful so thank you everyone for sharing. I'll wait for @griffin123456789 guide and if I know any strategy that is not mentioned I'll comment there.
Sulivan666
I'm on my first run on normal difficulty and the maximum rank I have achieved is A rank. I'm thinking about going straight for max difficulty with the S ranks, right after getting the collectibles. Any advice on getting S ranks? I think it's going to be difficult... but if I could get Metal Gear Rising platinum I think I'll be able to...
Blitz
Same here, on my first run couldnt get more than A, afterwards S rank was like automatic, so dont worry too much for now, as you progress through difficulties you'll get better and better. Just watch out for timing attacks to be at least A and score and time are usually easy S. Usually i would gather battery with square triangle triangle and then release special attack hakibi and score was always S, if smaller fight use aerial combo + jam combo finisher for quick points, but there are only few short one wave fights Edited April 30 by Blitz

I am playing now in easy to get all collectibles, and I have achieved S rank in "chapter" 2 even though in some battles I have only reached A rank. Is this the case on higher difficulties too? Sorry for my English.
mariman4ik
Hi people! What difficulty rating will those who score 100% in the game give? Very interesting:)

bogaards1997
When the license for the soundtrack expires, the game will get delisted for sure. I'd suggest grabbing it. It's on sale now 30% off .

I'm sure I saw something about that being Jun or Jul 2025. Either way, definitely picking this up as my next game.
diogoarez
I said I wasn't 100% it again after doing it at launch on PC, but after the tragic news of the team getting axed by Microsoft I've decided to do it as my 200th platinum in the near future 🫡
Sulivan666
If I fall below C rank or die while playing on max difficulty, do I have to restart the level to get S rank? because I have realized that for each retry, the final rank goes down... any tricks for that? Bapchak
Having grown up never playing rythm games, this one is fairly difficult for me--hitting the beats on time and dodging attacks--so the trophy list seems near impossible for me, probably the hardest part is all the S-ranks which i haven't even reached in a simple combat section yet. I'm going to be in here for a looong ride.
Matheus004-
It's not that hard, playing enough you will get used to the beat timing, you can use the touchpad to show the beat on screen if you need to. Just Timing and Time are very easy to S-Rank, the only tricky part is the score, but knowing how to farm points with Magnetic Combos and Dual Combos you skyrocket the threshold, even if you don't get an S-Rank in the battle, you can return to the hideout while the game is still showing you the battle ranks and try again. Also you don't need to S-Rank all battles to get a Track S Rank, if a track have 6 battles and you get S in 4, you're still fine Using the right chips also make a huge difference but that comes more to personal preference, aside from boss fights i used the chips to get more style meter and more reverb On 5/9/2024 at 2:57 PM, Sulivan666 said: If I fall below C rank or die while playing on max difficulty, do I have to restart the level to get S rank? because I have realized that for each retry, the final rank goes down... any tricks for that? There is not any tricks to help with that, you could try closing the game as soon as you die but i don't think it'll work. If you die, gotta restart. You will have a way easier time dealing with the Style Meter if you use the chip to boost the amount it increases (i forgot the name), you don't even need to hit enemies, just attack and dodge on beat and the bar will keep still, calling your partners in battle also boost your style meter. When you reach S-Rank on the Meter, it's basically impossible to die unless you just throw your controller away lol What i usually do is, when the battle starts, i start jumping and doing an aerial combo to boost the style meter, then Magnetic Link a safe enemy and start doing combos from there.

Thank you very much, I just got all the S ranks on the maximum difficulty, now I will go for the other difficulties. The most difficult parts for me have been the last 2 bosses.
