Yeah that was an unfortunate bug, it hit me and my brother more than once back in the day and at the time we didn't have a clue what was going on. Have fun playing one night, making CAWs, making progress in the Championship modes. then turn the game on the next day and it's back to square one. I remember it happened to us once at the worst possible time, we managed to beat Survival Mode...which was the mode that was like the Royal Rumble, but you had to go through 100 wrestlers. Which when beating it, you unlocked Andre the Giant. Took us all day and several attempts, and the next day the bug hit us. That sucked. They ended up re-releasing the game at one point without the bug in it, but for some reason removed the blood from the game. You can't win for losing. It's such a shame that MAG never got a sequel or rebooted. Scarface on the PS2 was also fun to play. It's a shame Activision never made another sequel after acquiring Vivendi Games.
