hey everybody, i hope your day is going good. it's officially September and me personally, i love this time of the year. It starts getting a little colder out and i get those nostalgic Halloween feelings all throughout. Most people go on a horror movie/game marathon on Halloween day or a couple days before Halloween but i wanted to spend the whole month of September and October playing Horror Games, back to back to back. I use the GameFly subscription service so i can't go out and get 20 games at once but please feel free to let me know some of your favorite horror games and what are some of your favorites to play leading up to or on Halloween and i might be able to snag them on GameFly.

So far the games i plan to play are

- Alien: Isolation

- Outlast

-The Evil Within

- Siren: New Translation (Blood Curse for EU/NA players)

- Silent Hill 4 (Maybe)

thanks guys and i hope you all have a great day :)

Depends how easily you get scared or made to feel uneasy at least :P

Bioshock gave me unpleasant chills when I could hear things but not see them.

But I agree with JGCC and recommend FNAF 1 or 4.

FNAF 4 apparently has DLC that's set for release on Halloween.

Or you could have a FNAF marathon and play them all!

Amnesia and Penumbra might also be worth a look.

Since this is off topic, I'm assuming all platforms are allowed.

Started playing an Early Access title called Layers of Fear on Steam.  Despite being in development, it's really far along, plays great and is genuinely frightening (I haven't finished it yet, my PC headphones give me a nasty headache if I wear them too long, but I hear it's about 2-3 hours of gameplay).  It's also probably the closest thing you'll find to P.T. since it was taken off the store and Silent Hills was cancelled.

If you haven't then Project Zero/Fatal Frame trilogy is certainly worth checking out. Suffering is also pretty decent horror game but i can only vouch for original xbox and pc versions of it.

You apparently are already covered on SH front. I wouldn't really advise playing SH4 though because it really is bad. I'm currently playing it and it's just shite compared to previous games on all fronts (music, locals.story etc) and second half of the game is one big escort mission.

Can't really think of anything else right now.

I recommend Resident Evil series, Catherine (its a rather unique horror game; although not that scary though, just the bosses look like they are from a horror game), Dead Rising series.

Also everyone; he's asking for games he can rent off Gamefly so reccommending a lot of PC games are kind of useless to him because of DRM. I think Gamefly support PS3 and up.

Whoops lol.  Though I think the fact even he included games in his list that aren't available on Gamefly (ie. Outlast) and the fact it's in the Off Topic forum should be enough to warrant some branching out.  Some folks other than him might appreciate it, we all celebrate Halloween afterall. ;)

I stand by my recommendation of Layers Of Fear. xD
