Popular Post MrGarland
The essence of alchemy - Completed the Alchemy Skill Tree. The secret chef! - Collected all cooking recipes. Ultimate swordsmanship! Completed request of the 3 sword master brothers. Being versatile - Manifested all Roles. It was about time I got the tedious ones out of the way. Actually, the first one wasn't too bad, once I learned that there's a simple trick which lets you net a ton of SP in a few minutes. I wish I had learned that earlier, but it's not a major loss. The only thing that gets boring is the music that plays in the atelier. While the music in this game is great, I've heard that one song more than enough and thus, I had no choice but to listen to something else until I was done. If I didn't, it'd play in my mind for a while. It's one of those types of songs. As for the recipes, I'm glad you don't have to synthesize most of the items, in order to learn a new recipe, as I'm lacking the materials needed for those. Getting the ones from gathering points and side quests is enough, or so I thought, because the trophy didn't pop, despite that I collected all of them. Then I read that there was one last thing I was missing. The recipes that teach you how to cook new dishes at campfires. Fortunately, there's only a few of them and obtaining them didn't take long, since I had the materials needed for that person, though I'm not a fan of this type of secret. Same goes for that other request. At least they're not missable, but if anything, they're nowhere as bad as the secrets were in Final Fantasy X-2. Finally, I have to admit that the last trophy I earned was something I couldn't figure out myself. Reading the tutorial didn't help that much, so I had to watch a video about it. Thankfully, it's somewhat easy to get, but getting the ones that require using the key were the worst since it's RNG whenever or not you get the Role. As a result, I had to reload my save a couple of times till I got lucky enough. With all that being said, there's only one thing left which is the final boss. I could've faced it after getting everything done, but I didn't have enough free time, so I have no choice but to do it later.
SelectiveGamer
Rift Apart Get Separated in Nefarious City And so Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart finally begins for me. Decent start so far admittedly. I've heard the Platinum is easy so I'm attempting that. It better be true. ? Either way it's been quite a long time since I've played this franchise. It'll take me some time to remember how to do things lol ?

Popular Post MrGarland
History coming to an end - Defeated the Code of the Universe. Summer's end - Set out on a journey to find someone to entrust your legacy to. The Alchemist of the End - Acquired all trophies. Before facing the final boss, I decided to synthesize the remaining ultimate weapons. Of all the ones I did, Patty got the best one, as all her stats got a major boost from her weapon, making her the strongest of all party members. She even managed to surpass Lent, in terms of strength. Onto the battle. It's a good thing I didn't do it earlier, because my God, what a pain in the ass that battle was. Whereas the ones in the previous games were manageable, this one was the absolute worst, and it's because of the following reasons. Charge attack. This cheap attack will one-shot your entire party and you can't even survive it when guarding. Only by some miracle, it is possible to survive it, but that happens very rarely, and it's usually Lent who's left standing. Once it has unleashed its worst, you have to make sure you revive your team quickly or else you're done. To make matters even worse, it uses it several times in battle. It also can't be canceled, no matter what. Even staggering the boss won't work. Every time the character you've set as the party leader is knocked out, he/she is switched automatically which is cool. However, in order to switch back, you have to wait about 30 seconds before you can do it again. Why? Once you've depleted about 50% of its HP, it uses its charge attack again. The only difference here is that you get revived by Fi, but only once. Also, if you get knocked out after reaching halfway, you'll start from that point, instead of having to redo the entire thing from the beginning. However, it's instantly ruined by the fact that it starts charging its instant kill attack almost immediately, meaning that you won't be able to do much, other than wait for your doom. After I made it through the battle, I watched the cutscene and everything was fine... until it hit the loading screen, froze on that and I had to redo the entire battle again. Since the game didn't auto-save after the battle, there was no other choice. Great. After a couple of attempts, I defeated it a second time, and skipped that specific cutscene and then I got through. Last time this happened was when I faced Trema in Final Fantasy X-2, where the trophy glitched and didn't pop until I defeated him a second time. I'm sure you know the rest. To sum up the battle, it was rather infuriating. Even with max level, ultimate weapons and such, the boss managed to sweep the floor with me. Trema was already annoying, but unlike him, you can't use cheap strategies against this guy, which is ok, but because of that one reason, I disliked this battle even more than the one against Trema. Also, having to redo it just because the game froze on the loading screen made it even less fun. Once the battle was over, it was time to say goodbye. Not only to your friends as each of them had their own plans, but to the atelier as well. A good way to conclude this trilogy. It may have taken a long time to reach that point, but at least the ending was worth it. Also, that moment with Tao and Patty was adorable. I'm sure they'll end up together in the future, based on Patty's reaction. And so, the game is now complete. Was it the relaxation I needed? Yes, it managed to accomplish that. Did I enjoy it? Absolutely. I have to admit, I didn't expect the game to be so huge, but that's fine. I had fun playing it, even if it has its flaws. I'll try to play the other games in the series someday, but not any time soon. Veteran - Complete Arcade mode on Veteran difficulty Master - Complete Techno Forest on Master difficulty Nex Incarnate - Complete all trophies Five years after starting this, I finally managed to conquer it. To be clear, I didn't jump into this immediately since it requires a lot of concentration, so I took a break. Once I was ready, I gave a maximum of three attempts before I was calling it a day. One of them ended really close, as I reached the final boss, but I panicked, lost my focus and ended up losing. I could've restarted from that point, but since you lose all the upgrades, you're pretty much at a disadvantage. Because of that, you have no choice but to restart from the beginning. After getting some rest, it was time to try again. A couple of more attempts later, I got all the luck I needed and managed to clear it. Reaching the final boss made me nervous as ever, since it gets chaotic shortly after the battle starts. The feeling when I finally managed to do it was satisfying. The run on Master difficulty was a walk in the park when compared to Veteran. Overall, it's a great arcade-style game and easily one of Housemarque's best. While I enjoyed it a lot, I still Resogun as my favorite. I have my reasons for that. So, what's next? I think I'll resume a certain RPG I ended up putting on hiatus. Hopefully I can finish it this time. Before that, I'm focusing on writing trophy guides. One for the game and one for the DLC. I won't reveal either of them, though I will say that I'm very familiar with both. In between writing them, I'll take it easy by playing Phantasy Star 2, as well as Tower of Fantasy. I haven't started the latter one, but I have high expectations for that.

blue_blur_98
Sonic Battler (Gold) Collected all Wispons. Sonic Forces (PS4) Now that I have any kind of PS Plus membership right now, I felt that it was really time to get back to Sonic Forces. The thing's been on my trophy hunting backlog for three damn years now. It's really gotta get finished sooner or later at this point. This trophy - alongside Up for Any Challenge and You Got Them All, which are earned alongside it - was easily the hardest thing to do in the entire game. These trophies require you to complete every single Challenge Mission in the game. Not even a remotely easy feat. Some of the time limits you have here are ludicrously strict - like, I'm talking "beat Chemical Plant in 1:10" strict. Some of them were pretty satisfying to get down... others were pretty frustrating and unfun. But at least I'm well and truly at the finish line now. There's just one trophy left for me to obtain. I only need to grab the last few Silver Moon Rings in the remaining stages that I don't have them in yet, which shouldn't be too hard... hopefully.
