Stargazer2600
Just wondering if it makes a difference whether I sit my PS4 horizontally or vertically. Read on a few places that vertically messes with the disc drives and some places say its not trues. Some say horizontally causes over heating and you get the picture. I don't have the stand to set it vertically so I been doing horizontal but I am curious
delboy_rules
I don't see how anything that blocks the vents can be a good thing. Horizontal every time.
CasaDeBen
I dont like the thought of my console falling over. And i have perfect shelves for them all to sit on horizontal. Ice never put any vertical
Aela
Vertical master race Besides, the Sony trailers have the consoles standing vertically, why would they do this if it was ultimately bad for the systems
Splathew
I have had my consoles Horizontal for over 20 years. I don't feel a need to change.
christine_uk
Vertical (PS2, PS3 & PS4) for ease of storage tbh, plus they look nicer that way imo Edited January 3, 2016 by christine_uk
Feral
I've only ever had my consoles horizontal and never had a problem.
Ruliya
I've had it in both ways, both are fine. I had it vertical with my PS3 and 2 and it looked cool, then I had a set up where I had them all on horizontal on shelving, 4 on top, then 3 underneath and 2 on the ground slot. BlindMango
Either way is good, I always have mine horizontal. Interestingly enough it seems my fans get louder when standing it vertically, at least that's how it was when I played Killzone Shadow Fall
Glowbugg
I think they look cooler vertical but whenever i put my PS4 up that way it gets really loud and makes me nervous.
DaScorpio_
Besides, the Sony trailers have the consoles standing vertically, why would they do this if it was ultimately bad for the systems So that your ps4 breaks faster meaning that you will need to buy a new one
MysticSparxman
I've got mine vertical, but I've got a stand with built in fans for it. It did start off horizontal, but I've never had a problem either way. My PS4 only ever gets loud when I'm playing certain games; MGS: The Phantom Pain being the main one lol.
