3)Lancelot(Knights Of The Round)

4)Scott Shelby(Heavy Rain)

And my 5 "bad"guys are:

1)Clotho(God Of War II)

Hard to say, really. It was easier to come up with more memorable “bad guys” than good. I guess deep down I just prefer to be evil :spank:

Characters:

5) Prince Arthas (WC3, which I rated 5/5 on my review of it. He's kind of a bad guy, but as that is up to perspective, which there is 4 of in the game)

4) Grey Warden (DA:O)

3) Duke Nukem (Shattered husk of the hero he used to be by DN4ever, he's still Duke somewhere on the inside.)

2) Celes Chere ( FFIII US)

1) Luigi (Not second anymore, eh Luigi?)

5) Cross Ward (Radiata Stories, he mostly made the list for the sake of my then-fiance whose fav game was Radiata Stories. He's good or bad enough to stay, even now.)

Villains:

Psycho Mantis - MGS (PS1) That bitch read my mind!

Ganon - A Link to the Past (SNES) That game in particular, he was nails!

The Dogs that jump through the windows - Resident Evil (PS1) I nearly shit my pants the first time.

Headcrabs - Half Life (PC) Need I say more?

Shodan - System Shock (PC) Badass AI.

Heroes

Pacman - Pacman (Arcade) Yeah I know your thinking, he wasn't much of a character, but for me that's where video games became a passion.

Megaman - Megaman (Nes) He had a Cannon for an arm... A Cannon.

Samus - Metroid (Nes) That awesome armoured dude, who turned out to be a lady!! It blew my mind.

Simon Belmont - Castlevania (Nes) Bollocks to Indiana Jones, I wanted to be Simon Belmont.

Gordon Freeman - HalfLife (PC) The Daddy.

I'll also throw in a couple of Anti-Heroes for good measure

Tommy Vercetti - GTA-Vice City (PS2) Made the 80's great again.

HK-47 - KOTOR (X-Box) Loves meatbags.

Max Payne - Max Payne (PC) The whole burnt out cop narrative just appealled to me greatly at the time, and was one of the reasons I loved the latest version so much.

I really had to think about the above and like a few have said, the villains were a lot easier pick out than the heroes. I also find it amusing that 80% of my heroes are favourites from when I was a kid and probably wanted to identify with the hero and beat the bad guy!!

I am going to change this to playable characters instead of 'good guys' because my favourite isn't actually a 'good' guy.

Red XIII (FF VII)

Ratchet (Ratchet and Clank series)

In terms of bosses, there are only three games / franchises that really stand out as being spectacular - I could have picked most bosses from these series, but the highlights are:

Verdugo from Resident Evil 4

Tiny Tiger from Crash Bandicoot 2

Yunalesca from Final Fantasy X
