I apologize for the long wait, but below are the trophies for the winners. In addition to the normal SV trophies there are a few new ones, which is also the reason why it took so long, since they had to be created. The new trophies are for:

• 13th post
• Best link to the number 13
• and one for every participant. 

That's right ladies and gentlemen: every participant gets a shiny platinum XIII trophy to commemorate this special SV  . Now Dave can't say the number 13 only brings bad luck  . 

 

Take a look at all the trophies, because lots of people have earned more than one. There are even people who earned 3 trophies  .

1. Emphatic - Time is Running Out
   • It was released in 2013. Oh and unbeknownst to me until just now. My mash up if you do 2+3+5+3 = 13.   This has nothing to do with the song itself I just thought it was a funny coincidence since I had no intention of it happening.
2. Linked Horizon - Feuerroter Pfeil und Bogen

   • The TV size song was released on April 7, 2013 for the anime, Attack on Titan / Shingeki no Kyojin.

     The full song and album was released on July 10, 2013. 

     There were 13 personnels that performed in the song. 

     At the released date, album copies were sold for  ¥1300, for the regular edition, w/ taxes.

     According to Oricon, the single peaked #2 in the weekly Oricon charts and charted for 57 weeks (or 13 months). It also has sold more than 230 800 copies in Japan for 2013.

     2+3+0+8+0+0=13 

      

     It was the opening song of the show for episodes 1 to 13

      

     The song is heavily focused on "The Battle for Trost District" which aired between May 4, 2013 to June 29, 2013

     There were 13 human characters (some were notable) that were killed in between this arc.

     "Linked Horizon" has 13 letters same with "Attack on Titan", Revo's (main vocals) full name "Yasuo Kamanaka" and the title of the song, in romaji, "Guren no Yumiya"

      

     The TV size of the song, if translated, in English has 13 sentences. 

      

     Linked Horizon played a special version of the song at NHK's 64th annual Kōhaku Uta Gassen on New Year's Eve 2013.

      

     There lastest album was released on October 5 ,2015 and they started with just a doujin album on December 30, 2001

   • Released April 3 2013 also April is the 4th month and there are 9 members so 4+9=13

4. Zedd ft. Hayley Williams - Stay The Night

   • Song was released last September 10, 2013. 3 days away from Friday the 13th (   couldn't think of anything else). oh, found another one... the song was released 09/10.. the music vid was published 13 days later... 09/23.

5. Timo Tolkki's Avalon - Enshrined in my Memory

   • The album this song was on released on May 21st, 2013. According to the description of the video linked below, 13 different cast members were involved. Also, contains vocalist Elize Ryd (who has been "active" since 2003, or became active 13 years ago)from the band Amaranthe, which has released 13 singles since the year their first studio album released, on April 13th 2011. Their second album, The Nexus, released on March 13th 2013, and combined with their third studio album has placed on 13 music charts, including 12th and 1st on the US heat chart, which adds up to 13. Also, the band has had 13 different members perform for them (including touring members), which includes harsh vocalist Andreas Solveström, who left the band in October 2013. # of times the #13 is used above this line: 13.    • The song features in the 2009 version of Friday the 13th.  The first person who dies is singing it on the lead up to the scene (apparently it's known as the weed scene).

   • The song was part of IA/02 -COLOR- which released on 1/30/13. There are 13 characters in the song title if you include the space. There are also 13 characters in the album's title if you include the space.

8. Origa - Historia Crux

   • Song is from Final Fantasy XIII-2.

9. Ylvis - The Fox

   • Released in 2013

10. alt-J -  Left Hand Free

    • The song was played in the introductory scene of Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, which officially began development in 2013 and is the thirtheenth film of the MCU (it's also rated PG-13 to boot)

    • ​As for the link to 13.. other then the title of the song, Thirteen is also the name of the album and then you have the somewhat fitting lyrics..

    • This song plays during the 13th episode of the anime Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, which is one of my favorite anime of all time. Sadly, it plays before the 13th minute, so there's no double 13 in here.

17. Kris Kitko - Phobia Song

    • Dave fears anything related to the #13.

 

Some Important Stuff

Here it is, the missing Song Vote XIII as post #13,000. Too bad it's not Friday the 13th, so Friday the 23rd will have to do . The theme this time will be anything related to the number "13", for example:

• Songs/soundtrack from games/movies/anime that have the number "13" in the title.
• Songs that were released in 2013.
• Songs that were released 13 years ago.

 

These are just examples and there are many more possibilities, so go find them. When posting your song, also post how it's related to the number "13". Also the mashup selection is back to 25 seconds again due to the problems we had with the previous Song Vote. The link to the countdown timer can be found above in the Countdown to Posting & Voting image.

 

For this special event there will be some new trophies to earn: one for the 13th post when submitting songs and one for the song that has the most original relation to the number 13.

 

 

Don't Forget About the SV Posting Format:
As you all most likely know, lots of people submit a song during each Song Vote. It takes a lot of work to cut pieces of every video, add the correct names, create a mash up video with all the correct time stamps, create those small images for every song with the name of the singer/composer and the song's title, comparing all submitted songs with the list of winning songs from previous SVs and the list of banned songs, and keeping the database up to date. That's just the usual work. Recently there have been more and more members don't use the posting format when submitting songs, which adds to the SV admins' workload.
 
So please use the following format when posting songs:

Artist Name(singer/composer) - Song Name - start of the 25 Second section for mashup video - My name 

 

Explanation about how the song is related to number 13 goes here

Edit: I just saw the image at the end of the OP and I have to say that really reminds me of the black cat I used to have. That I probably had the best days of my life while she was alive was certainly the main reason why I don't have the slightest belief in superstitions.

Pretty much yeah, I don't think we're going to see much of him. He also managed to get 100 posts in a single day to go from 1,300 to 1,400 posts.

Actually, it was alot easier than I thought, just looked through a couple albums I had laying around (Yes, in the year 2016 I still buy cds to get alot of my music) and found 3 that came out in 2013 Now to narrow it down to a song I think people will like.
