MidgarMac Posted July 4, 2017 Share Posted July 4, 2017 Last Anime I watched was Persona 4: The Animation since I have no means to actually play the game and because I just recently finished my first Persona game (Persona 5). I absolutely adored every single second of it with a great script with some truly great moments and characters with the show even having a really emotional sequence which made me shed a tear. Living with his family, Suzu becomes essential to the running of the household and creatively prepares meals during the tough wartime conditions while also carrying out daily housework. In 1945, intense bombings by the U.S. military finally reach Kure with devastating effect to the townsfolk and their way of life. Suzu's life is changed irrevocably, but through perseverance and courage, she manages to continue to live life to the fullest. I haven't heard of this one before. I've just found month(s) ago that this one will be shown in the cinema near me. Since it is very very very rare for anime movie in our cinema to be shown, I decided to watch it. I even had to wait 5 hours after 9 hours of work to it for a movie that had next to none clue what it is going to be about (what I just know by that time is it is SoL-ish historical anime). Was it worth it? YES. It's so beautiful. Loved every character on it(which is very rare for me). It is so relaxing and hit the feels at some point. Hosoyan and OnoD on it is definitely the icing to the cake. Note: Episode 13 they either used a different studio/less animators or it didn't get finished in time. So it looks pretty bad. However it goes back to great animation in episode 14. So if you watch and get to episode 13, don't expect it to be like that for all of season 2. Seems to be an isolated episode. I would've loved to know why, but there's limited easy information on the net about the change in animation for that single episode.
