But yeah, I've seen various clips of the anime and I can see why it might not be everyone's cup of tea. It's definitely mine though. Ok so I decided to give it another go knowing that occasionally this distinct kind of fanservice fades off after a while by the director. (I think it's a way to suck some people in, though it's not really necessary in the first place) Well it did(so far), though it took longer than others. Now it's starting to settle more into its serious tone that it had from episode 1. Hopefully the mystery, lighter fanservice, serious tone continue. I just don't get it I can enjoy fanservice so long as it's not the main focus of the anime. For this reason, I usually try to avoid ecchi stuff. I mean at that point, I might as well go all the way and watch hentai. Some anime use fanservice to divert attention away for the lacklustre plot and writing.
