Popular Post Ripper
Got this trophy and didn’t see any information anywhere about how to earn it so this is just for anyone who doesn’t know how to get it. This trophy requires you to get a kill with a broken bottle. In order to unlock the broken bottle you must first get 5 melee kills with wine bottles which are hidden in the Apocalypse dlc around the 3 new maps on conquest or capture the flag etc. A bottle WILL respawn after some time in a location, but the player is unable to pick up a bottle from the same location more than once in a round. It will respawn, just not for you this round so make the kills count! The bottle is a one-hit melee kill up close, but the bottle will break on use so you will need to find 5 bottles and get a kill each time. You are only limited to the number of bottles hidden on that particular map in a round. I found all 4 in one map. When you pick up the bottle, DON’T SWITCH TO ANOTHER WEAPON OR YOU WILL LOSE IT. You have to literally run around with it equipped. When you get one kill, you will unlock a codex entry, and the game will track your progress but there is nowhere in game that you can check on this. Once you have 5 kills, you have permanently unlocked the broken bottle and you can equip it in your inventory. Then one kill with it will earn you the trophy. Bottle locations as follows; Passchendaele: flag B; just outside the bunker to the left as you enter it on some crates. Between flag D and E; there is a broken down bunker near the out of bounds of the map, it’s in here (nobody picks this one in any of the games I played) flag E; on a table about 20-30m from the flag. Somme; flag B; behind the stairs of windmill on the bottom floor (this one is very popular so you will have to fight for it!) flag C; in the house on the floor flag E; the giant chimney thing, has it on the actual machine on the floor. Caporetto; flag B; to the right of where a vehicle spawns, by the statue adjacent to some stairs flag B; there’s a grammar phone by a bench a little way off to the left of this base flag C; at the foot of the right hand side wall of the bridge flag D; this is really close to the flag post. This was designed to help people, I’m aware there may be other locations, but these I have witnessed firsthand. Happy hunting! InfraRedPS
Thanks for this! I was worried there wouldn’t be enough bottles for everyone making this harder to earn but it’s great to know they are kind of instanced for each player. So far they’ve always been available to me when I’ve looked but I previously thought that was because not many people knew about them.
Ripper
No problem! Glad could help! Definitely some luck needed to get them. I played some rounds where people camped out on the locations making it difficult, but also some rounds where I was the only player trying to do this. Personally, trying to get bottles on the Somme was the hardest map for me.
Norillen
Seems like it is only possible to get one kill per match with the bottle. All five matches the other bottle locations wouldn't spawn a bottle after I got a kill. Tried it out and camped one location for the remaining of the match, but it wouldnt spawn for me. Even saw another guy pick it up. (I did not pick up this bottle prior to getting the kill either.) Edited February 25, 2018 by Norillen

Radebe78
From my experience this is not true. I have managed in 1 match to get two wine bottle kills, and even got third bottle in my hands but got killed while running around trying to smash other people.
TiNnYzEuS
Oh that’s strange, I guess I may have missed the other ones because I wasn’t just camping out for them I was checking occasionally.
Ripper
I got 3 kills in one match. So it isn’t the case. Embarrassingly, in one match, I was killed twice with bottles by the same player, so definitely not the case. Death
I recommend playing as Support with the 'Perseverance' perk equipped so you'll run faster while holding the bottle. The bottle is a one hit kill no matter what angle you attack from. Take a good look at the trenches around 'D' and 'F' on the Somme map. I could've sworn I grabbed a bottle there last night. Norillen
That's weird, maybe just occured for me then.
Bartolomeus
I also suggest camping. On Somme, I was camping in some of the sleeping quarters (in lack of a better term) in the trenches between C and D, and waited for people to run by. Most of the time they didn't stop to look inside. A lot easier than running around in the open being visible from all angles. Camping is only allowed for this purpose, of course. Once you've killed five people with bottles, get back to the frontline, soldier!
kRiz-1988
Playing domination is probably the easiest way to get it. But it's not difficult overall.

JeManquedHygiene
Thanks man, that list is definitely helpful. However are you positive that a bottle respawns if someone else picked it up before you ? So far this isn't my experience at all. I've literally camped right in front of a spawn location for 75% of a game, and nothing. Thus far I've never seen a bottle spawn back, and I've tried a lot of different locations. It really seems to me that once a bottle is picked, it's gone forever. I've only managed to pick up bottles by rushing to the location at the very beginning of the game. bigrake1
There is a relatively "easy" way to get this achievement. Play Conquest on Somme. There is a bottle in the windmill at B. At the beginning of the match, rush B, grab the bottle, and then run behind the windmill where you'll discover a small shed. Camp in the shed. B is a hotly contested site because the enemies spawn at A. Eventually, an opponent will run past the shed. Sneak up behind and bash in the skull. I use a specialization perk that quietens my steps, so they can probably only hear my approach if wearing a headset. I am well beyond 5 bottle kills with this strategy. I think I have about an 80% success rate with this strategy. If I am killed with the first bottle, I retrieve another bottle, if available, and return to the shed again for another chance.
