Psychotic, genocidal, clown turned God with more blood on his hands than most villains could dream of: Kefka Palazzo. This has been a bit villain-centric, so in the interest of fairness, I'll give three "good" guys: Dayum, Jimmy. Jim Raynor had a hand to play in every major event in the StarCraft universe. A drunk good ol' boy haunted by the things he'd brought about, directly or indirectly. Aveline Vallen and Isabela... the pirate? I can't remember her last name. Other than having Hawke's back, these two had only their breaking of gender trends in gaming. While a strong, stoic females has been done before, none that incorporated emotional, and at time romantic (not with you) elements into there development as Aveline did. Isabela may seem to be a typical whore at first glance, and while that in and of itself is atypical of a developed story-driving character, what's more unique is that she is portrayed in a powerful, self-deterministic light, and her sexual independence is part of confidence, rather than some sign of weakness or subservience to a dominant Male.
