Popular Post DizzyDavidson
Update #8: Final Fantasy Type-0 HD (PS4) - 100% God of War II (PS3) - 71% Spyro 2 - Ripto's Rage (PS4) - 57% => 100% Syberia 3 (PS4) - 100% (Knack (PS4) - 0%)/Final Fight: Double Impact (PS3) - 30% => 100% ✅ Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel (PS3) - 0% => 65% Swaps: 1/2 The week started off slow, very slow. I didn't feel like playing anything. I forced myself playing through Magic Sword twice (I messed up on my first run but luckily it's very short, 30-45 mins) and completed the first chapter of Army of Two. It wasn't working for me so I stopped till I was actually in the mood later in the week. I came back pretty strong too (especially on the weekend) completing two games. Spyro 2: I was already done with the story, just had to clean up some trophies. I took me about an hour or so. Final Fight: Double Impact: Magic Sword (the other game in this "collection") was just ok. I only got this game for Final Fight. Vault items were easier to unlock for Magic Sword but needed a guide for finding the secret doors and stuff. I did the co-op run by myself with two controllers. I didn't feel like finding a boosting partner for a game that's not very popular and I didn't trust playing with randoms going through all levels without skipping (that's what the secret doors are for). Also didn't have anyone for couch co-op. Army of Two: Now this is a really fun cover-based third-person shooter with over-the-top action. Already played through it twice, once on normal and once on insane. I ran into a glitch on the final boss on insane but managed to get around it easy. The AI partner is quite good in this game which is a rarity. I'm done with the difficult part but there's still the grindy part left. PS: There's always someone with an RPG to piss in your cereal. I think I'll be able to finish off my last two games on my list next week. That will leave me with a month still left to go. I might just have to add one more game (I think I have a candidate), but I should also finish up Two Point Hospital (I haven't touched it in a month).
Popular Post Stanners316
Update #9: 1. Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc (PS Vita) - (6th March) 2. RiME (PS4) - (11th March) 3. South Park: The Fractured But Whole (PS4) - (30th March) 4. Zero Escape: VLR (PS Vita) - (5th April) 5. Shenmue (PS4) - (8th April) 6. Root Letter (PS Vita) - (16th April) 7. Detroit: Become Human (PS4) - (18th April) 8. Dreamfall Chapters (PS4) - 46% 58% 9. Donut County (PS4) - 0% 10. TBC Swaps used: 2/2 I've made a little more progress with Dreamfall. The dry humour has actually made me laugh quite a lot. Well done to the script writers. There's only a few different decisions to make on the 2nd playthrough and it'll be interesting to see how much the story differs, but even if it just alters conversations, that's fine by me. They're probably my favourite part of the game. Oh, and it's quite pretty to. Nice little eyeball massage at the end of the day. Shamelessly, the main reason for my update is to say I got my 50th platinum today, Silent Hill 3 HD ? I stuck to my word for once! I'm not that big on landmarks but it's nice to have a game that means a bit more to me than others as #50. After I found a PS3 controller that vaguely worked, I actually had a lot of fun getting the Possessed and UFO endings. For those that aren't familiar and I still have their ear... you have to get 333 kills across multiple runs to unlock the Heather beam in order to get the UFO ending. Words. Looking back at my trophy timestamps, I completed it 1st in 2013 and then again in 2017 so I thought 1 more run getting the Possessed ending would unlock the heather beam for sure. Nope. What was I doing on my other 2 runs?! Anyway, at least I remembered to kill the final boss with a kitana this time (unlocking the unlimited sub-machine gun). I reluctantly started again and went on a rampage playthrough, completing the game in 2hrs 4mins. I was pretty chuffed with that because, well, it was nice to get the speedrun trophy without getting the UFO ending (which cuts the game in half). All that was left was 1 more run making sure to kill 30 enemies with the Heather beam before you get to your apartment. I actually had to get the trophy for completing it with getting less than 500 damage as well, and because the Heather beam is arse, I was taking a fair bit (and swearing loudly, either impressing or not impressing the kids next door playing on their trampoline). Not to worry though, I don't care about them and it turns out I only took 150 damage. I don't have the patience to get good as my trophy list probably shows so it's nice to have a platinum for something with speedrun / damage / minimal save trophies. It's all about the enjoyment for me with as little stress as possible, but with heavy doses of nostalgia ? Other games I have on the go are P4G on the Vita which is amazing, and the original FF7. The buzz around the remake has infected me so I thought I'd play the original (not strictly the original) version again before borrowing my mate's remake. I'm not a super fan but I realise it has to be done. Also, I rarely get new games but I was given the Yakuza Remastered collection as a gift so I must must must start Yakuza Kiwami 2 and get my usual 60%ish of the trophy list before starting on those. Apologies for the long update on the whole not relating to the challenge. I do enjoy reading everyone else's. Stay safe. Don't drink detergent. Popular Post Crispy_Oglop
Early week update from me with Platinum 142 - Moons of Madness. This was a really fun cosmic horror game with some pretty good science fiction thrown in to boot. The jump scares were a little telegraphed and one of the voice actors hammed it up a little needlessly, but overall it was a fun game to stream. I made a little bit of completion progress in Yakuza 5 too and I think i'm finally ready to push forward some more with the main story. This is going to be a long term game i think, it's just so vast. So i'll be dipping into that regularly while knocking out some of the other stuff. Next up, is The Return of the Obra Dinn, which I started in on last night and I love this game so far. It's like CSI but in the 18th Century with a few supernatural elements in play too. In other news I decided to make three swaps - I'm going to pull Dragon Ball Z Kakarot, mainly because I want to start it with all of the DLC out so i can get a nice tidy 100% all at once. I'm also going to pull Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. Finally, I'm going to pull Yakuza 6 and push that into the next backlog challenge because i think i'm going to need a short break after finishing Yakuza 5. I'll swap them out for three visual novels - one very scary looking title called Death Mark that i picked up in the Big in Japan sale and the other my first dating based VN - Dream Daddy - which the folks at Game Grumps co developed! The last one i want to add is Root Letter which looks like an interesting crime solving VN. Spoiler Darksiders: Genesis Moons of Madness Persona 5: Royal Resident Evil 3 Remake Final Fantasy 7 Remake Yakuza 5: Remaster - 42% > 50% Yakuza 6 [Root Letter] Life is Strange Life is Strange 2 Return of the Obra Dinn - 1% Forgotton Anne Danganronpa 1 2 Reloaded Deliver us the Moon Terminator: Resistance Dragonball Z Kakarot [Death Mark] Observation House Flipper Draugen Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice [Dream Daddy]
Popular Post DizzyDavidson
I know it's not my usual update time but I think the following deserves a post. PS+ (US) is on sale right now at CDkeys. I wasn't going to re-sub yet but I couldn't let this deal go. I'd rather pay $34 now than $60 later. Which means I would like to re-add Knack to my list (it wasn't the game I was thinking of adding on Sunday). I don't know if this cancels out my used swap or not but it doesn't make a difference to me, I'm good either way. Otherwise I just made a little bit of progress in Army of Two. Update #9: Final Fantasy Type-0 HD (PS4) - 100% God of War II (PS3) - 71% Spyro 2 - Ripto's Rage (PS4) - 100% Syberia 3 (PS4) - 100% Knack (PS4) - 0%*** Final Fight: Double Impact (PS3) - 100% Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel (PS3) - 65% => 79% *** Re-added Edited May 4, 2020 by DizzyDavidson
Popular Post MidnightDragon
Got a couple more trophies in NFS Rivals. However, for some reason, the game quit saving and didn’t recognize what I was doing. I didn’t realize it for an hour until the game locked up and I restarted it. So that was irritating. Then I got back to where I was and earned two more trophies. Got to rank 20 as a racer, but decided to wait to do the finale event until after I had gotten some sleep. I also made a little progress in the cop career and got the trophy for busting 50 racers. Edited April 29, 2020 by MidnightDragon
Popular Post Copanele
Wednesday update (I hope it's Wednesday) 1. Tekken 7 - 100% 2. Dragon's Dogma(PS3) - 100% 3. One Piece Pirate Warriors 2 - 100% 4. Alice : Madness Returns - 100% 5. Lords of the Fallen - 100% 6. Mini Ninjas - 2% -> 5% Finally completed my second trashiest game from my backlog , Lords of the Fallen(First being Duke Nukem Forever, that will be for another list). Terribly mediocre game riddled with bugs and straight up boring at some point. Would not recommend playing it honestly. Final game is Mini Ninjas, a super cute game that I struggle to play because it's very simple (it's a game intended for kids after all). But well it will be my next focus shouldn't take me long to do it.

I have been playing quite a bit of Borderlands 3 and am now done with both DLC's and also the main story line. I am now working on the side quests, I planned on doing the exploring ones at the same time because I knew I didn't have much left to explore. But there seem to be some sort of reset-progression-problem when traveling from a planet, so I will probably have to start all over with allt he sections of every map. It should be fine, I just don't know if I want to do that right now. I really don't know what it's with me an picking games with issues, haha! I'm having tons of fun in it though and I'm finding myself just running around exploring because it's beautiful! I've made some progress in Torchligt 2, but I am missing some trophies from bosses I have killed in the story, so I will have to do a rerun when I'm done. (I would've had to do that anyway though, because there's a trophy for hardcore and I'm not playing that right now). Got one trophy in the pen and paper game, not really been in the mode for that kind of slow paced game. The other two seem pretty doomed to finish right now, I've tried playing Degrees of Separation with my partner (hmm, maybe not the best game title to play together....), but lately whenever we have had time to just hang out without our kid we have watched movies and just relaxed. So we shall see! I don't want to play it without him, the game is very pretty and fun to play together. I planned on going for Star Wars whenever I was done with Borderlands 3, but now I'm thinking I'll probably focus on Knights of Pen and Paper +1 and maybe bring Star Wars with me to the next challenge. I really enjoy reading everyones updates and notes about their gaming experience, it always makes me wanna play the games you guys play! (Well, not always, but mostly!) Thanks for making these weeks so much better and more fun! You are all awesome! 1 hour ago, Copanele said: Wednesday update (I hope it's Wednesday) 1. Tekken 7 - 100% 2. Dragon's Dogma(PS3) - 100% 3. I played Mini Ninjas a long time ago (I had to look it up, apparently it was 2011!), I remember actually really enjoying the game from start to finish, I never went for the platinum in it though, still kinda regret that. Good luck with it! As you said, it's not hard, but it's very cute and I enjoyed the graphics in it!

A nice 6 second adventure.) First time into the world of FF7 for this Plat update. While I would not say the game is a perfect masterpiece, it's certainly a phenomenal JRPG with its quirks, goofyness and straight up interesting style of ending. I found the combat to be incredibly easy having come off of Final Fantasy 13 and Final Fantasy 15 as the two previous Final Fantasies I played (last year). Hard Mode was made 100x easier by choosing to beat the superboss first (Died once to Shiva, then beat the entire challenge my second go!) It was actually far easier than Normal Mode in my opinion. Most chapters ended with full MP for all party members (Pray and Charka are OP). A 9/10 game held back by super boring chapter repeats for dresses, corridor loading screens and linearity. I know this game will get the pass over FF13 because it's "FF7" but really I could not help but compare the two games for my entire play time. True though, FF7R is objectively better but not so much so past FF13 in my book. I loved FF13, so no worries, the FF7 fan base can rest easy cause I loved it too. Looking forward to whatever comes next from the devs. Note: I'm in a much better mental state now than I was before. Depression and anxiety over life choices is a killer for me, almost literally. Took some time off and now I'm ready to roll again. I'll catch up to everyone's updates over the weekend over breakfast. I ran out of "likes" today to upvote all your amazing progress! Popular Post Crispy_Oglop
End of week update for me with Platinum 143 - Return of the Obra Dinn. This was a blast and by the time I got done it has firmly cemented itself for me as a fantastic game. One of the most unique and interesting games i've played for a long long time. I don't think I've ever felt so much like a detective before in a videogame. I also finished Observation which for me was one of the finest Science Fiction games I have ever played. It completely blew me away and the thought provoking ending left me speechless. I'm still thinking about it. I have one more playthrough left in this, which is to go back and get all of the collectibles and take care of a puzzle trophy I missed. But damn, this one was a highlight of my year so far. Popular Post StilRh
I loved your recomendations @Crispy_Oglop will have to look into those when my completion rate improves. My weekend update: I've made my second swap of the challenge. I've dropped 100 knight (feels like the 100th time I've done that ) for Sakura Wars. Sakura Wars is everything I need in a game right now - it's extremely 'comfy', balancing visual novel, musou (never liked this genre before, but I've had lots of fun and I'm impressed with the nuance of the fighting system and different mechs having very different play) and dating sim elements perfectly. The writing is top knotched, I've laughed and I've cried and I've been absolutely hooked on the main plot and sub stories. The game looks beautiful, little things like the mirrors acurately reflecting the characters and rooms depending on the angles you look at them etc, is really impressive as this genre of games doesn't usually get that level of polish. The episodic nature of the game along with the very strong visual design makes me feel like I'm playing an anime. I have no doubts that I'll be playing this solid until I get 100% completion! Popular Post Sword
Grats @Copanele for finishing all your games! o: Very nicely done. Update #4: Mini update to declare both swaps. I don't think I'll be able to complete (and fully enjoy) Dark Souls 2 & 3 by the time this event is over unless I purposely rush both games, which I don't want to do. After playing FF7R, I'm so interested to know what the original was like. So I'll be starting up the original FF7 tomorrow. So I'll be: -- Swapping Dark Souls 2 (11%) for Final Fantasy 7 (Original) on PS4, 0% completed. Moving Dark Souls 2 to Summer event. -- Swapping Dark Souls 3 (0%) for Devious Dungeon 2 on PS4, 0% completed. Moving Dark Souls 3 to Summer event. -- Not finishing Dark Souls 1 (98%) due to the fact I want to plat the entire series on the same day (which is why DS1 remains at 98%). This way, I'll be able to dedicate most of this month to the original FF7 to enjoy the experience and finish it off with some easy games. Dragons Dogma I've already played 4 times on my Xbox to 100% so I know that game like the back of my hand. Which makes my final list... Color Code: Red = Game not started. Green = Game is in progress. Blue = Game completed to 100% + DLC. ☐ Dark Souls 1: Remastered + DLC (PS4) 98% ☐ Final Fantasy 7 (Original) (PS4) 0% ☐ Devious Dungeon 2 (PS4) 0% ☐ Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen (PS4) 0% Darksiders 1: Warmastered Edition (PS4) 100% on March 13th, 2020. Only the timed trophies left I think. It was fun, only downside is to be forced to replay 2/3 of it because it suddenly decides not to track your progress, so you can finish it but the game doesn't recognizes that you did despite giving you the trophies for most of it. Added Detroit becoming human as well because that's what I'll be playing this week and I might as well knock that out. Now I am gonna put my sign up for the summer event and I'll be back with one more update around the end of the month in which ideally everything will be done?
