Completed The Fight as my 7/10 and NHL 15 as my 4/10. I completed other games in the meantime, unfortunately they either don't have a guide or are rated a difficulty I already completed which prompts me to go for another list once this one is done.

 

NHL is a game that will shutdown on June 6th so I wanted to get everything done before the closure, even the single player trophies in order to avoid any bad surprise. Overall it's a big and boring grind but a lot RNG dependent. There is a guide that rates the game as a 7 which would be a more fitting difficulty rating but I chose the 4/10 on purpose since I have already a lot of 7/10.

 

The Fight on the other hand is a PS3 fighting game that uses the move controllers instead of the regular DS3. You punch, uppercut and jab your opponents by mimicking the real movements while holding the move controller and having the eye camera for recognition. It's a pretty unique game gameplay wise but it's very repetitive and dull. It lacks content and diversity. If anyone is interested in a full review, I wrote one here on my checklist.

Alright so this is my first Update since my last post here.

Manage to get a few quick and easy entries out of the way and also I have finished my list, still sticking to my only UR approach. The games you see here are the games that I will go for as part of the challange this year.

 

WipEout Omega Collection: This game is a gem. The original HD version is one of the reasons why I got into racing games in the first place. And it has just become better with this remaster, controls are super smooth and responsive and the graphics look incredible. Overall had tons of fun with this one and if you know what you are doing its actually a really quick and easy one. Real nice trip down memory lane.

 

Amnesia Collection: If you ask me I didn't understand a single f*ck about this games story lol. Nothing made much sense at all but it had its few scary sequences which was what I wanted from a game like this. Still nothing really special and it didn't felt much like a challange unfortunately (not even the DLC trophy) still in honor of the great Pewds I had to experience this one for myself.

 

That's You!: I ran into this game while searching for Quiz/Trivia games for my list on platinum every genre challenge. And even though is not part of that genre for whatever reason is just a steal of a plat when it comes to an UR at below 2.0%. The game is incredibly easy and quick to plat, all you need is either 6 phones/tablets or know how to make android emulators on you PC. Felt a bit bad about adding this one to my profile at first but had my fair share of laughs while playing with my brothers and gf so what the hell.

Still I'm sure I'll power through it I just hope it's before the end of the year.

I cannot describe the relief as i heard these words... Wolfenstein II marks my 10/10 and it was a rough one. The room for error on this BRONZE trophy is almost endless. I always wondered why people were so upset about the cutscenes before attempting this, but they were all right, it's soul crushing to go through that every single time you messed up.

@PurpleSamGaming Very impressive on Emperor trophy on ESO! For 6 I'd suggest Sackboy A Big Adventure or Talos Principle, for 8 I'd suggest Elden Ring and for 9 I'd suggest Returnal.

Nickelodoen Kart Racing 2

Platinum trophy #49

 

A few days ago I managed to complete a game that in my view shouldn't be rated as highly as it is, however I understand to a degree why the only guide on the internet rated it a 9/10 difficulty. The game in question is Nickelodeon Kart Racing 2 on the PlayStation 4, the hardest trophy in the game requires you to beat all of the Grand Prix's on every difficulty or speed tier.

 

There are 4 tiers of difficulty, slow, medium, fast and insane, the higher up you go the more unfair it becomes. You'll get pummelled by items like there's no tomorrow and the games equivalent of a blue shell the dreaded Jellyfish has only 1 counter, good luck getting that in a race and keeping hold of it for when you need it on insane difficulty!

 

What separates Nickelodeon Kart Racing 2 from the other kart racers I've played is you have a crew/support system which consists of various characters from the shows that have their own unique powers, You can equip a chief, crew mechanic and a support character, their powers vary from giving you a boost after you get hit, or faster recovery after being hit, there's even one which will steals an item from the kart you hit!

 

But lad why would they even think of having a "kid game" rated so highly? When it comes to the Grand Prix's in order to earn 3 stars which is mandatory for the hardest trophy in the game you MUST win every race in 1st position. I honestly cannot recall the amount of times I lost and had to restart the entire tournament because I lost the final race.

 

NKR2 does have a time trial mode where you have to race a single time trial ghost but these are incredibly simple when compared to Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed and the hardest Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled ghosts. I attempted them with the standard kart with Spongebob and beat all 28 of them within a few attempts however only 15 are required for the trophy.

 

My personal tips for the game would be as follows; 

 

• Keep hold of your items when your in first place in case of emergencies especially if you have the Avatar item that will destroy the Jellyfish of doom!

 

• If your in first position and a Jellyfish is on the way and there's an AI driver very close to you, let him pass you so he takes the hit instead of you!

 

• If you get the soda bottle which acts as a boost it's best to use it after a drift, however use it at the end of your drift boost. let's say your drifting round a long right hand turn, the longer you hold your drift the more of a boost you'll get when you release, this is signified by the colour of your tyres, Blue being the best.

 

If you exit the corner with any level of a drift boost you'll be propelled forward however having spent an absorbent amount of time in Reptar Ruins TT, I can safely say it's best to use it at the end of your drift boost because it will allow you to get faster lap times which may or may not help you but the information is there!

 

• If you need to grind coins which I certainly did the most optimal method I could find through experimentation was to play a free race on Insane difficulty over 3 laps on the first track and you'll be awarded around 25 coins every 90 seconds or so. Make sure you turn items OFF!

I would like to stress that I was forced to beat insane difficulty using a single controller so I had to deal with 7 AI opponents, if you use 4 controllers it would alleviate the item spam considerably. I took the liberty of capturing my tournament footages on insane difficulty. Please bare in mind I don't know if my kart setup is optimal because there's no guides online from what I could see. 

 

The kart setup I used was Reptar with the slime wheels, engine and exhaust. Here's an example of a GP on Insane difficulty so you can see what I'm referring to. My playtime for the platinum trophy is around 40 hours because I spent a lot of time trying to improve my time trial time on Reptar Ruins and the amount of times I had to restart the GP's due to poor RNG/luck.

 

 

If the game is honoured as a 9/10 difficulty then I've officially completed the 1-10 challenge. Is this a copout 9/10 compared to some people? Probably but I'll be attempting another difficult game for my 50th platinum which I'll be hosting a community poll for once I've unlocked the vast majority of the trophies in Elden Ring which I'm addicted to, to say the least!

If you cannot stand unfair difficulty and you care about your hair and your completion rate, please don't play this game.

What?! is that an update post from Together_Comic the guy that hasn't posted on this thread since January.... well yes and surprise its an updated list of the games.  

 

Dragon Age 2 and TLoH: Trails of Cold Steel are done for the 4 and 5 spot.  I would probably have them swapped if I were doing the ratings but eh, no complaints.   Slime-san should start soon(tm) and the grinding has begun in earnest for tetris effect.  I just need to get that one challenge mode done and then that will be done too.   Alright no I have 20ish pages of update posts from you guys to go through sooooo, wish me luck!

Jedi: Fallen Order on PS5 was a delight. I can’t wait for its sequel and still praying Cal will make an appearance in Kenobi series. I am already happy just seeing the Inquisitor Base.

 

I’m a big Uncharted fan and replaying Uncharted 4 for a 100% without having to do any multiplayer trophies made me really happy. 
 

Next up: Elden Ring.

 

I said next up Elden Ring last time but enjoying a slow new game plus to get another ending, so yeah. Soon!

And yes, if the guide is for Xbox or Steam achievements you can use the rating on that guide as long as the trophies are the same. 

 

Also you have Trackmania Turbo as your 10/10 showing on your list, might wanna update that to Deadbolt to avoid confusion. Good luck on Trine 2! So strange that the original Trine 2 is a 1/10 and the complete edition is a 9/10 lol

Finished Jump Force as my 5/10 as the August scheduled shutdown is getting closer. Mid game, wouldn't recommend, even for a Shonen fan. I really didn't enjoy my time with this one and the grind at the end felt more like a chore than anything. If you're interested in a full review, you can find one on my checklist here.

 

I also checked my plats since the beginning of the year and realized there is actually 7 games I completed that I can't include in this challenge either because the difficulty is already taken (2) or because I can't find any guide whatsoever (the remaining 5) ? I'll for sure go for another list once this one is done ?

Elden Ring was just phenomenal and almost feel sad that I got it to a 100%. One of my most loved platinum journeys.

 

Tormented Souls was an old school Survival Horror and gave me some PS1 era vibes (when I was a kid too scared to play Silent Hill TBF). Platinum was a bit tricky but nothing too bad. Short game.

 

Next up: Shape of the World! I think.
