Hey guys, Stargazer2600 here. I guess I should start off by saying I'm 32, male and live outside Detroit Michigan. I work 3 jobs. I'm a home care aid (I provide end of life care for the elderly), I work at a pizza shop and I sell comics, cards and collectibles on eBay.

 

Comics and games are my passion. I remember when I first got to play a SNES, it blew my mind lol. I learned to read by playing games like final fantasy and such. Chrono Trigger is my all time favorite game.

 

Me and my girlfriend are saving for a house in Tennessee as we want to really start the next chapter in our lives. I play a lot of Destiny, Overwatch and Fallout 76 (mainly for her lol)

 

I'm pretty old school and set in my ways. I love stars and planets and history in general. One day I want to own my own comic shop.

 

Stock Questions

How did you come up with your PSN name?

Well I used to be a brony back then and I had an OC and his name was Stargazer because I like stars and stuff. 2600 is after the Atari. While I'm no longer a brony, I keep the name since it's still me and I genuinely like it. So when people ask about the name I say I like stargazing but leave out the Brony part lol.

 

What games convinced you to get your PlayStation 3, Playstation Vita, PlayStation 4 and Playstation 5?

Metal Gear Solid 4 convinced me to get a Playstation. Originally I had a 360 but could never play online since I needed Gold. Free online with the PS3? That sold me.

 

What are your top 5 game series and why?

Top 5? Let's see:

• Fallout
• Final Fantasy 
• Kingdom Hearts
• Grand Theft Auto
• Mass Effect 

 

I love story and love single player.. sometimes I feel gaming now is too focused on multi-player and none that I listed need to be with other people.

 

What are your top 5 games and why?

• Chrono Trigger
• Secret of Mana
• Secret of Evermore
• Final Fantasy 3
• Pokémon Blue/Red/Yellow

 

I long for the old days when you needed a damn good story to keep the player engaged. The graphics weren't that great and to compensate you needed a really good story. Nowadays it's all about the graphics and all about the framerate and because of that, the story suffers and that's really sad because the older consoles had some of the greatest games ever and I would really love to see them remastered.

 

Which unreleased game(s) are you looking forward to the most and why?

New Elder Scrolls and Fallout 5.

 

Do you have any other hobbies outside of gaming?

Comic collecting and spending time with my girlfriend.

 

Top 5 TV shows, Movies, and/or anime, why, and would you recommend them to people?

• Rocko's Modern Life
• Tales from the Crypt
• Beavis and Butthead 
• Castlevania anime
• Clerks

 

I just like mindless cartoons and sometimes just mindless things in general. Things that I can kind of just turn my mind off to but will sometimes give me a chuckle if I hear it in the background. The movie Clerks is my all-time favorite movie. I really can get into the conversations and whatnot and could honestly see myself hanging around people like Dante and Randal.

 

Top 5 favorite music bands/group/artists/composers/ost?

Your favorite platinum and why?

Probably Payday.. yeah it was a pain in the ass but once you found a group and you really worked on your bills and you got used to everything it really became fun to do. I was really sad when they stopped support for it.

 

Your least favorite platinum and why?

Off of the top of my head? Probably Overwatch. So many of those trophies are circumstantial and it's almost impossible to do without boosting.

 

Have you ever been tempted to switch over to the Xbox/Nintendo/PC gaming ecosystems?

For the longest time I actually had an Xbox 360. I didn't really get a PS3 until 2013. However, given that Bethesda is now with Microsoft and whatnot, I honestly might skip a PS5 and go right back to Xbox. I follow where the games are and so far Microsoft's getting all the good games.

 

If you could have one game from any gaming generation be remade or re-released, which one would it be and why?

Chrono Trigger. I would give it the same treatment that Final Fantasy 7 is getting. Don't get me wrong, Final Fantasy 7 is a great game but there are other games more deserving of that kind of remake. Chrono Trigger without a doubt is one of them. If you ever play a game that has multiple endings you owe that to Chrono Trigger since Chrono Trigger was the first game to have multiple endings like that.

 

How far are you willing to go for a platinum?

I'm willing to go a little distance but I'm not willing to lose my Insanity. Does the game want me to do some sort of special jump on a level at a certain time? Okay, I'll try. Does the game want me to become the number one ranking person in the world by winning 250 matches without losing? Pass.

 

If you could give Sony direct feedback on business decisions in the last year, and the latest console generation, what would you tell them?

That they need to do better and they need to make sure that their updates don't brick consoles.

 

What is your favorite thing about PSNP?

Honestly it's between the community and being able to see any trophy list before you buy the game.

 

What is your least favorite thing about PSNP?

I know this is going to counteract the answer to the last question, but the community sometimes. I know it's the internet and there are toxic people everywhere but sometimes the people here can be really toxic and the amount of cheating that a person will go through just for a score on a virtual board kind of astounds me.

 

Community Questions

What consoles have you owned and what were your favorite games for them?

I think I have owned every console at some point, even the really rare ones like Virtual Boy. But without a doubt, Super Nintendo has and always will be my favorite. There are just so many games that I love for that system.

 

If you had to cosplay as a video game character for all 3 jobs for a year, who would you pick and why?

If I had to? I honestly don't know. I used to cosplay back in the day, I used to cosplay Green Lantern and Jason Voorhees and a few others but I really quit since the cosplay community got really super toxic. When you hear people say things like "I thought Jason was supposed to kill the campers, not eat them" it really makes you not wanna do it.

 

Why do you want to move to Tennessee if you don't mind me asking?

It's closer to my girlfriend's family. She's closer to her family than I am with mine, so it's just easier for her. Plus I like the peace and quiet.

 

How many Magic: The Gathering cards do you have, and can you send me some?

I honestly don't have any anymore. When the pandemic hit and all the card stores stopped doing in prison magic, I lost interest in it and I sold all of my cards for a few hundred dollars.

 

Most disgusting pizza you ever had ordered at your pizza shop?

I wouldn't really know the answer to that question since I don't make them. I do all the prep work like cutting tomatoes and the lettuce and everything for salads and making the dough. I don't actually make them or take orders.

 

Why haven't you earned a single trophy during the past two months?

I really just kind of don't have time. Whenever I do have time to play I'm always playing Overwatch or Fallout 76 with my girlfriend because that's what she wants to play. And I sadly have the trophies for those or the ones I'm going to get anyway. I know I'm still working on 76, I'm just lazy. But when I'm not playing with my girlfriend I really just want to focus on other things.

 

Any goals about your profile?

Not really lol.

 

What comics are your favorite? Rarest?

Well, right now I'm collecting Silver Age Green Lantern and I'm trying to get graded copies from one all the way to 100. And so far I'm doing really good with it. But my rarest comic is a Showcase 22 sign by Joe Giella.

 

Obligatory comic fan question, what superpower would you have given the choice and why?

Flight so I can go wherever I want.

 

Do you also collect your own comics/cards/games on top of what you sell on eBay or is it all just sold?

Of course lol. I have my own personal Green Lantern collection and I have a collection that I keep for selling/trade.

 

What was probably the rarest thing you ended up selling on eBay?

An Amazing Spider-Man 238 Newsstand Edition with the tattoos. 8.5 graded by CGC.

 

Do you get many prank calls working at a pizza shop? If so, what was the most memorable one?

I don't answer the phone.

 

What are some of your favorite historical events or ones you find to be interesting?

Honestly the formation of the Earth and how life got started and all the different stages of life, it's really interesting.

 

Would you kindly rank each OW tank, both in terms of your skill with them and how much you favour them?

Can you reliably block shatter? 

I can actually when I'm playing a shield.

 

Thoughts on the Doom and Orisa changes for OW2? 

It doesn't really bother me at all. I don't really care one way or the other. I know there's a lot of people that don't like it and there's a lot of people that do like it and I'm kind of in the middle.

 

Have you ever attempted a day-one raid? 

Nope, I'm honestly not that good and I haven't found a clan that actually wants to take me through it. In fact my history with clans has not been good and because of that, Destiny isn't really a game that I play as often as a Destiny player should.

 

Which are your favourite planets in D2? 

Mercury bruh..... yeah we all know that was like Mercury lol. But honestly, Titan was cool and so was Mars.

 

Who do you prefer, Superman or the Silver Surfer? 

Sups out of those two.

 

Did you enjoy Batman v Superman? 

No, no I didn't. The story was just terrible and Ben Affleck was a horrible Batman. I know people say it was all because of the writing but that's not an excuse for Affleck anymore. After Daredevil you figured he would be very careful and would try to choose the right movies but he didn't, instead he chose a crappy story once again and he screwed everything up with that character. No excuse.

 

Do you like Futurama?

I do. Met Billy West even.

 

Can you tell me something interesting about astronomy that I didn’t already know?

There's a planet made of diamond .

 

Have you ever wished upon a shooting star?

No I haven't.  Wishing for me growing up never ended well.

 

What do you think of astrology? 

Not my thing, now my girlfriend on the other hand...

 

Do you seek out games or comics that take place in a historical setting?

Not particularly lol.

 

How do you imagine your gaming retirement?

Honestly I have no clue.

 

Which European comics do you like best?

I don't think I read any European comics, and if I do I don't know if they're European.

 

On what side of the Moon would you rather buy property?

It doesn't really matter because both would be cold as crap. But I guess the light side, that way I get a good view of the Earth (was so tempted to say your mom but want to be nice lol).

 

If you could have built a pyramid for you - would you?

No because the last thing I want is a whole bunch of explorers breaking into my pyramid and stealing my stuff after a few thousand years.

Great read, thanks! I've always found the brony phenomenon fascinating! I watched a documentary a few years ago, and was totally engrossed. More power to them! Do you mind me asking why you quit?

Was a great read! I also find the earth's formation extremely fascinating as so much had to go right for us to even be here today. I also heavily agree that Chrono Trigger deserves a remaster/remake. Hopefully they will soon since they just did Chrono Cross

This is true but some more than others. One of the reasons I don't interact with Star wars fans. With Brownies it got to the point where if you didn't like the show a certain way or whatever, you basically got ousted. I liked the creepypasta and darker side of the fandom. Needless to say, I wasn't popular
