Popular Post Hurricane_Tanya
I finished Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse, this is actually my favourite of the Telltale trilogy, Hit the Road is my favourite, but the don’t think it’s ever been released on PlayStation. I’ve also almost finished Powerwash Simulator, I’m on the last career job and then it looks like time challenges to do for the last trophies. I started cleaning up the Tomb Raider mansion just for fun too, unfortunately there are no trophies for either of the dlc areas. I’m going to get back to Jedi Fallen Order. I was really enjoying it when I started it, but forced myself to finish off some me other games first, so I’m looking forward to getting properly into it. HollowCalamity
The FF Pixel Remasters arrived today. I think I'm going to try and get the whole series in order (outside of 7/7R since I have those already). I've played most of these before so it shouldn't be too difficult, and I'm excited to revisit the ones I have played. Adding: Final Fantasy Final Fantasy II Final Fantasy III Final Fantasy IV Final Fantasy V Final Fantasy VI Edited April 21, 2023 by HollowCalamity
Popular Post BlazzingWind
The Leaderboards have been updated as of 04/21: @Darling Baphomet 9.00 Points --> 11.50 Points @KillerUni12 8.50 Points --> 11.50 Points @Hurricane_Tanya 7.50 Points --> 11.00 Points @jones_jr02 7.50 Points --> 9.50 Points It looks like Darling is holding onto their lead by a few days, but KillerUni is neck and neck with them. Hurricane and jones are holding their positions but creeping up as well! Amazing performance again everyone! __________ Things have been really hectic IRL and today was the first day in a while that I have had time to force myself to stay awake and get an update posted. Truly thankful for KillerUni's help in keeping track of completed/changing games. On the gaming front; I know I shouldn't...but I have been waiting to be able to finally play through the classic Final Fantasy's as I never played/completed 3, 5, or 6. So I am adding FF1-6 to my backlog ***As we enter the final week of April, please remember you all have until the 30th to add a game that is above the normal 33% complete limit! **** @Wes-709 Please be aware that with only 6 games on your backlog list (9 being needed), points will not be counted as earned. Whenever you get a chance, please add 3 more games. ***** And now I am off to a much needed sleep - thank you everyone for your continued support and for making this event so much fun!
seannyboy913
January Completion Demon's Souls (PS5) January 29th, 2023 February Completions Catherine: Full Body February 3, 2023 Prototype February 22, 2023 March Completions Deadbolt March 5, 2023 PowerWash Simulator March 22, 2023 April Completions Jump King April 2, 2023 Active Neurons 2 April 2, 2023 Ape Escape April 2, 2023 Death Squared April 8, 2023 Sifu April 13, 2023 Dirt 5 April 18, 2023 Another couple games done for the month in Sifu and Dirt 5 and a couple games to add to my list before I play too much in Ratchet and Clank: Full Frontal Assault and Bentleys Hackpack. Dirt 5 is a decent racing game though the rubber banding AI and the rubber band needed for a trophy gets a little ridiculous. This game is a solid game to listen to a podcast to while you work your way through the 125 stages as the story isn't much of anything but at least I had fun with the driving. Sifu is probably my favourite game to play so far this year with a perfect trophy list to match. The fighting in Sifu feels really good and makes having to replay levels enjoyable while also feeling rewarding as you get better and learn more how to play the game. I'll probably be working through the DLC trophies on this between my other games.
Popular Post Hitman_Spinksy1
Still no other games platted for April but I finally got the platinum relics in Crash 4 so now all the hard stuff done. Now just to grind the inverted levels and do the flashback tapes but it's so close I can almost taste my hardest plat to ever achieve
Popular Post Darling Baphomet
Sorry, not going to be that easy to catch up to :b Finished Ghost of Tsushima a few days ago after two weeks of playing almost nothing but it - fun game with a good story and absolutely gorgeous on the PS5, but god damn if open world fatigue didn't set in well before I was done with it. Still want to finish the DLC but am giving it some time off. I wasn't expecting to like this game as much as I did, since I've never really been interested in samurai type stuff, but the combat is actually really well done and seeing Jin grapple with honor versus doing what must be done throughout the story made for a very compelling narrative. Some of the side quests were really high quality as well. Looking forward to a sequel. Also just finished Foreclosed - this game... is a mixed bag. I tried starting it up a few weeks ago, and as soon as I heard the intro, which was an extremely edgy combination of the deep voiced, deadpan protagonist narrating, somber violin music, and some of the thickest dialogue I've ever heard (the first four lines are "motionless puppets crossed by the flow of time. we are choiceless rotters, consumed by the crawling of events. irony of fate. i had just ceased to exist."), I decided I'd save it for another day. The story improves somewhat throughout the game, and the game's high point is that it absolutely nails the comic book aesthetic - the 3D visuals themselves look more comic-book esque than any other game I've seen, and to top it off the game frequently makes use of dividing the screen into comic book panels, showing you something happening elsewhere, or occasionally having your character walk from one panel to the next. Unfortunately the gameplay is somewhat mid, but still passable. Also started playing Fortnite again, slowly but surely. Probably going to be a long while before I'm anywhere near done with this beast, though. Also been playing a bit of QUBE 2, and been keeping up with OhShape - working out several times a week, I'm at a bit over 10% of the way to its platinum, so I shouldn't have too much trouble achieving it. Finished my first playthrough of Resident Evil 2 while streaming for a friend, and now I'm on my Claire playthrough; once I'm done streaming that I'll be able to tackle the game solo. Popular Post Dinkus83
I played through The Gardens Between last week. I really enjoyed the look and story, and the puzzles were different, if not a bit simple. My only complaint is that it was reeeally short. I suppose that wouldn't be an issue if I wasn't enjoying the game though. Anyway, one more ticked off my ginormous list! I feel like I've been concentrating too much on adding games that are leaving the ps+ catalogue lately, and not making a dent in my actual backlog though. And since it's April and I can add anything, I sorted my profile to see what the highest % incomplete games are and that's what I'm working off now. I'm going to try to keep my list topped of with games like these until April is over. Adding: Catlateral Damage 94% - How did I stop before getting the last couple trophies in this amazing game? No idea, but time to figure it out! The Witness 91% - I didn't do the speed challenge. I'm sure it will be even easier now that I haven't played the game in years >.> Puzzle Showdown 4K 90% - I didn't finish 50 puzzles?! That's ridiculous. I'll do one occasionally and this will be an easy one. Need for Speed: Most Wanted 87% - Platinum has been done for a long time, but never went back to finish DLC trophies. It's a PS3 game with some online stuff, so this is definitely a good game for me to focus on a bit. Popular Post KillerUni12
I've been playing Battlefield V and it's been okay. I was underwhelmed by the War Stories - but they weren't too long luckily! All that's left is the multiplayer grind, this one might take a while - I tend to run right past people and then get shot in the back lol. Also started Until Dawn: Rush of Blood. I haven't played the original game yet, so I was going in blind. So far, I've absolutely loved this game! We'll see how the psychotic run goes but I enjoyed my initial playthrough Adding Truck Racer to my list
Popular Post be_minor
I’ve been a backlog bum this month but hopefully I can knock out my monthly game within the next few days. I’m still undecided on manually removing any games; the original plan was to wait until August to trim down my list into something more manageable. I am adding a few high-percentage games though, ones that barely missed the sign-up list. Back 4 Blood - 95% (need ~ 10k zombie kills and work on DLC) Mass Effect: Andromeda - 87% (insanity playthrough and misc.) Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom - 61% Yet Another Zombie Defense HD - 91% (one simple trophy in endless mode that eludes me) Everyone else has been destroying their backlogs this month! It’s been encouraging to watch the top 4 dominate the competition.

Popular Post StraightVege
Hey, sorry for another long absence, but this month turned out to be a real pain in the neck. Between recovering from a cold, dealing with some extremely annoying stuff that happened, and getting spring chores done, I haven't been able to play much since my last update. Congratulations to the top players! Maybe I'd be able to keep up with you folks if I was ten years younger, haha. It seems like, whenever I begin to pick up steam, something always gets in the way. Anyway, I'm back at it now, having finished Jydge yesterday: What the heck is a "Jydge," you ask? Well, other than a stylized spelling of "judge," they're heavily-armed cyborg cop units (complete with silly bench wig helmets), basically a cross between Judge Dredd and RoboCop, deployed to fight crime in the dystopian Neon City by any means necessary. Criminal activity there is at an all-time high, thus "SEND IN THE JYDGE," booms the police chief's corny text-to-speech voice as the game begins. No worries if a few innocent bystanders get caught in the crossfire while you blow away those thugs—just make sure to rescue the VIP hostages, or you'll literally explode as punishment for failure! And, don't forget to confiscate any valuables you see during raids (technically not illegal), since the department can always use more funds. Strangely, crime only seems to be escalating, despite your efforts... oh well, a Jydge's work is never done, and the biased media will happily do PR for you. The game flirts with shallow critiques of police brutality and corruption like this, but it never goes beyond a surface level; Jydge just ain't that serious. Being the prequel to 10tons' previous twin-stick shooter, Neon Chrome (which I talked about here), Jydge features quite similar top-down blasting action (think cyberpunk Hotline Miami), wherein you clear urban areas of baddies room by room, choosing from a large collection of equippable cyberware upgrades to perform feats such as bursting through destructible walls or becoming invisible, which provides a number of fun and contrasting ways to tackle the threat. The main difference here is that Jydge has a mission-based structure, as opposed to Neon being more of a roguelite; you're meant to replay levels repeatedly on the various difficulty settings, all the while completing optional objectives (like "remain unseen") to earn medals which unlock additional cool cyberware abilities, and ever more fire modes for your Gavel rifle—an experimental weapon, capable of firing a wide variety of ammo types, everything from sniper rounds to electrical bursts. There's also a bunch of well-hidden collectibles, that bestow persistent stat bonuses and unique effects, which can be switched on/off in a special menu. If only more games implemented collectibles in such a useful way, I might not detest the concept so much. It's an addictive enough formula to make for a couple of enjoyable playthroughs, although the repetition sets in quickly beyond that. I didn't think there were enough changes between difficulties to justify playing every stage a minimum of four times each—in reality, far more, because it's often impossible to complete every objective in one attempt. First, opening shortcut doors and eliminating tough named enemies (both permanent) is sometimes necessary for success, not to mention how certain objectives are opposed to each other. I was ready to be done by the time I finished the second difficulty (Hardcore), to be honest, so the remainder felt a bit grindy. Perhaps some added enemy types would've kept things fresher, since the game is rather lacking in that area. A decent shooter experience overall, but I ever so slightly preferred Neon Chrome, although neither game really has enough content to support their trophy requirements. I'd also like to add a couple of exploration games I picked up in recent sales to my list - The First Tree, and AER: Memories of Old. Lastly, I've reformatted it to be more readable now: -Completed- 1. Dreaming Sarah - January 9th (+1.0) 2. Streets of Rage 4: Mr X. Nightmare - January 10th (+0.5) 3. Afterparty - January 13th (+0.5) 4. Mortal Shell: The Virtuous Cycle - January 21st (+0.5) 5. Gunlord X - January 25th (+0.5) 6. GreedFall - February 6th (+1.0) 7. Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour - February 8th (+0.5) 8. Shu - February 23rd (+0.5) 9. Psychonauts 2 - March 4th (+1.0) 10. Habroxia 2 - March 8th (+0.5) 11. Two Crude - March 10th (+0.5) 12. The Outer Worlds - April 2nd (+1.0) 13. Skautfold: Shrouded in Sanity - April 4th (+0.5) 14. Valley - April 6th (+0.5) 15. Jydge - April 25th (+0.5) 16. Popular Post ChecoMayor
Lazy April because 2k22 took all my time, I wanna get online trophies done as fast as I can. I finished Stray as my 50th plat, loved the game even if is short, press X to everything and you play a dumb robot plot when I wanted to do cat things and reunite with my cat family, well, let's hope a sequel provides more stuff. I think May will be a busy month for non gaming stuff, hope I can finish things that are against the clock

Popular Post grumpaluffagus_1
Finished up Mass Effect as my April game a few days ago. In spite of the gameplay feeling extremely dated, I overall enjoyed the experience. The story was more generic than I expected given the amount of praise it receives, and I really wish I hadn't gone for the Renegade playthrough. What was initially just rebelling against authority quickly turned to xenophobia, murder and some light genocide, but I guess that's just a lesson learned for future playthroughs. I'm also going to go ahead and add Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to my list, since I really want to play Survivor but I should probably start with the first game.

Popular Post Dinkus83
Final update for April! I had planned on getting Forbidden West finished this month, but had too many other things going on to get there. It should get done in the next week or so. This past week I played through Last Day of June and that was an enjoyable experience. The story and gameplay were well done. I missed a couple collectibles during my blind run, so I had to quickly run back through to get those on a second playthrough. Over all, very glad I played this one before it leaves the PS+ catalogue. I also did some jigaws to finish off Puzzle Showdown 4K, probably did 10 or so this week to finish off that last trophy. I love jigsaw puzzles, but I think I'm out of games for them now, so I'll have to look around to see if I can find another that I haven't already played lol. To keep my list topped off before April ends, I'm going to add a couple more higher % games from my profile. Adding CastleStorm and Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight. CastleStorm, I finished the base game a few years ago, but never got the DLC trophies done. Frozen... maybe I'll get lucky sometime this year to get through whichever level I was stuck on before. It definitely won't happen if I don't play it, so I need to try occasionally. Popular Post KillerUni12
Wrapped up Until Dawn: Rush of Blood a couple of days ago. By the end, this made my head hurt. Psychotic difficulty was pretty painless for me - until the final level. I could clear the first three tentacle encounters pretty easily, but the spiders on the third gave me fits. After about 10 tries there, I realized I just wasn't shooting fast enough! One of my favorite VR games so far and I'll have to check out their spiritual successor when I get a VR2. Also finished Truck Racer this morning to kick off May completions. I got lucky and found a boosting partner pretty quickly. The game itself was okay - it got to be repetitive and the strategy was pretty simple: buy the best upgrades and get in first. If you fell behind, all of the other trucks would constantly ram you, making it impossible to catch up. Overall, not a bad game but not a great game. Finally, almost completed inviZimals: The Lost Kingdom last night. Hoping to wrap that up soon. But I couldn't force myself through another few levels for the collectibles. I went into this game blind and, for some reason, really hoped it would be similar to a Pokemon game (spoiler: it was not, but one enemy looked suspiciously similar to a Blastoise!). For what it's worth, the game isn't terrible. It was made for a younger audience and that definitely shows through - combat is repetitive and boring and the narrator will usually tell you how to solve the puzzles in the cutscene that introduces them. But it was creative and a decent length. I've played much worse. Adding Valiant Hearts: The Great War to my list!
Popular Post Darling Baphomet
Not entirely sure if I should put Star Renegades down as an April game or a May game, since I platinumed it at 8 pm last night, which was still April in Hawaii, but May just about everywhere else. Putting it down as April but let me know if I should move it to May. Anyway, I platinumed QUBE 2 a bit over a week ago, shortly after my last post, but didn't want to double post and figured I'd probably wrap something else up in the next few days to justify another post - instead I got sucked into Star Renegades, which I have been playing every day since and just platinumed. QUBE 2 was a fun little puzzle game, one of those ones clearly inspired by Portal; its gimmick is a bit less interesting than Portal's (you essentially just color pads to either bounce, extend platforms, or create blocks), but a lot less lame than Chromagun VR's. The setting also manages to be very interesting, taking place inside a strange alien spaceship thing. Fun puzzle game overall. Star Renegades is a RPG roguelike, and when I say RPG, I do mean actual RPG, overworlds, party dialogue, turn based battles, and all. Unlike most RPGs, it's time sensitive (as in you can only do so many things before the final boss of an area shows up), so you can't simply grind your way past any challenge, and the battles are a lot more tactical than those of most RPGs, with just about every move in each character's arsenal having its purpose, and team composition being extremely important. It also has a killer art style. Sadly, the game is rather buggy and has been abandoned by the developers on console; the final free DLC, which added a conclusion to the game's story and a new hero, released 1.5 years ago on PC and has still not come to console. So I would recommend against playing this game on PS unless you really like trophies. Still, it was fun overall and I enjoyed my time with it, even if the hardest difficulties were brutal. Also made progress in Cozy Grove - adorable game; it's essentially Animal Crossing if your island was haunted by ghost bears who you had to help work through their regrets and remember their past lives. Very cute, and a bit eery. I plan to play it normally for as long as possible, although by the end of the year I expect to be done with most things in game and will probably want to skip seasons just to get the season trophies done with. Adding Fashion Police Squad to my list, as well as Overcooked! All You Can Eat. Popular Post Darling Baphomet
Very minor update, just posting again so that I can add Sackboy's Big Adventure to my list since it's on PS+ extra, finally. Finished Fashion Police Squad, fun little boomer shooter absolutely chock full of silly bullshit and memes. Essentially you play as a member of the fashion police and go around fixing up fashion criminals by using various fashion related weapons in your inventory, ranging from a gun that shoots pins to tighten up suits to sock gnomes to go after tourists wearing socks with sandals. Not the longest game, sadly, but it more than makes up for that with how high quality the game is - boss fights especially are exceptionally well done, often involving a minigame or two to shake things up and being solid gameplay wise besides. Thank god the PS5 version hasn't had its rarity ruined using (now patched out) cheats like the PS4 lists were. Popular Post StraightVege
Yeah, I watched a speedrun of Fashion Police Squad sometime ago, and it looks like a real blast. 14.5 points this early in the event is beastly, by the way. Got my full point for May, thanks to the most innovative shooter I've played in years... SUPER HOT SUPER HOT SUPER HOT (Memes aside, it's honestly a true statement!) This novel puzzle FPS certainly has some extremely trippy diegetic storytelling, metanarrative shenanigans taking place. As a fictionalized version of yourself (The Player), you're sat down in front of your old PC on the game's the main menu, when a friend sends you a pirated version of superhot.exe, the cool new VR game everyone's been talking about. Upon booting it up for the first time, you quickly find yourself hopelessly addicted to a minimalist murder simulator, where you're abruptly dropped into a variety of interesting white room combat scenarios against featureless, red human figures assailing your position. Seems that they all want you dead for some reason, and they spectacularly shatter into crystalline shards when shot or struck. As the situations escalate, it rapidly becomes apparent that there's something sinister afoot, and this might be more than just another video game, yet efforts to pry yourself away from playing it are futile regardless. Superhot clearly has something to say about player agency and video game violence, thus I found myself thoroughly absorbed in my acting role as The Player. However, their commitment to presenting the narrative in this style, while admirable, did mildly annoy me here and there, because there are several points where you're locked into the game unless you dashboard. I've got stuff to do in the real world sometimes, folks; gimme a pause button, will ya? The unique twist making Superhot foremost a puzzle game is that time passes at a snail's pace, unless you're moving/acting in some manner, during which everything occurs at normal speed. They move when you move, and you both die in a single hit. Ultimately, it's all about taking some time to deliberately figure out how to maximize your movements to best deal with the encroaching enemies, avoid their bullets, and finally kill every last one of them. Thankfully, this is not a rigid game whatsoever, though, as there are a multitude of solutions to survive every level, and plenty of room for improvisation. After a lifetime of playing standard shooter titles, I initially found adjusting to the gameplay here a challenging endeavor, but it didn't take long before everything clicked, and I was pulling off impressive feats that would be almost impossible in a typical FPS. The first time you blast one guy, fling your empty gun into the face of another for a stun, grab the initial dude's pistol out of the air to shoot him with, then slow motion jump away from incoming bullets, it feels wonderfully exhilarating—almost like you're choreographing your own slick shootout scene in a movie. Returning to generic shooters after this will be tough! While there are sparsely few firearms and melee weapons available in the game—a handgun, shotgun, automatic rifle, katana sword, and miscellaneous items such as bottles—more really wasn't necessary, because it does so much with what little it has. You can also simply pummel those red bastards with your fists (which, surprisingly, is effective enough to beat the entire game with), and a powerful new ability called Hotswitch is unlocked later on, allowing you to teleport into an enemy's body, both eliminating them as a threat and putting you into a more favorable position. For what it's aiming to accomplish, the game is nearly perfect, with my only real complaint being the occasionally weird collision. Those moments when a bullet or thrown item appears like it's on a clear path to hit the targeted enemy, but instead harmlessly strikes a corner or object can be frustrating, not to mention get you killed. This issue is especially noticeable when you're platforming to reach out of the way collectible terminals, and you just can't seem to land on that darn ledge successfully. Not a particularly big deal, of course, but irritating enough to mention. Altogether, Superhot was one of the most compelling games (and pieces of art) I've had the pleasure of experiencing throughout my 35 years in this hobby, and I'm ashamed to have slept on it until recently. What a fabulous little deconstruction of the genre! Despite playing through the game at least 15 times before the platinum popped, I couldn't recall one instance of feeling bored, so I just had to purchase the stand-alone expansion right away. Piotr Iwanicki and his team must be freakin' geniuses to conceive of such an awesome concept; I'll surely be on the lookout for whatever it is they produce next. By the way, my first (and successful) run of the dreaded NORESTART challenge can be seen here, if you're curious. Personally, I thought the SPEEDRUNrt challenge was harder, since it forces you to rush at full speed most of the time. Obviously, I'm adding Superhot: Mind Control Delete to my list (definitely playing that next), along with Tails of Iron, and Axiom Verge 2. I really want to squeeze some value out of my PS+ Essential subscription, heh. -Completed- 1. Dreaming Sarah - January 9th (+1.0) 2. Streets of Rage 4: Mr X. Nightmare - January 10th (+0.5) 3. Popular Post Hurricane_Tanya
I finished my first game of May. I got Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order done and I basically blasted through it. I really enjoyed this game, it was challenging and an actually great Star Wars game. I didn’t have too many problems with the map either, I found it to be similar to the Metroid Prime games. I only had a little trouble on Bogano, the first planet you get to, and that was mostly because I was trying to clear the map. I played on Jedi Master difficulty, not sure I’m good enough/fast enough for Grand Master. There were a couple of bosses in the end game I found really tricky. Also I’m hoping that Cal learns some of their moves in the sequel because they looked really fun, and we’re definitely effective, against me anyway. The hardest boss was that Oggdo Boggdo on the first planet. It was very satisfying to finally take it down. Next up will be Man of Medan

HollowCalamity
Update - 6 May: Extremely impressed by how much progress people have been making, and in many great titles! I didn't get a chance to play games for the first chunk of April, as I was visiting family on break, but since I got back, I've really enjoyed visiting some titles I've previously played, though on other platforms: Completed: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order [20th April] – Remains a janky but fun 7/10 action game elevated by the Star Wars IP. Picks up substantially in the back half, though, both mechanically and narratively. I don't hate the map as much as others do – my complaints have always been around the movement and level layouts, which both seem to be improved in the sequel. It's unfortunate how technically poor Survivor is right now, but I'm sure that once it's patched I'll have a great time with it. Final Fantasy [21st April] and Final Fantasy II [28th April] – I originally played these through the Final Fantasy Origins collection, released for the original PlayStation. While I enjoyed them at the time, these new remasters are such an elevation. FF2 is the most obviously improved, with better balancing for its notorious leveling system (which is now completely fine and actually feels a bit innovative, ironically), but both games are revitalized with the new artwork and music. The stories are quite simple, and the titles aren't particularly difficult, but the whole collection is a great look at how the series has evolved. Dark Souls: Remastered [6th May] – Still my favorite game of all time. I first went for the 100% on the Prepare to Die Edition for PC, which remains my most-played title on Steam. I hadn't really played anything close to Dark Souls in difficulty before, as it was one of my first real action RPGs – but I quickly discovered it wasn't actually soul-crushingly difficult, and that first playthrough was such a memorable and enjoyable experience that I have since put around a thousand hours into FromSoft's titles. While I love their work since (including Dark Souls II – people that say to skip it don't know what they're talking about), none have really captured the feeling of a truly interconnected world, that sense of space, that this game does. The Undead Parish elevator is such an iconic moment for a reason, and I would love to see From tackle another intimate, connected map again (not holding my breath, though). Also, the DLC is one of the strongest expansion packs ever. Overall, such a treat to revisit this one!
