(they can also shapeshift into a bear lol). all of them are optional and you can also complete the game without using a single one Sounds good to me, I'll count it when you get the plat
Popular Post DoctorDrPepper
Game 1/10 down for me. Final Fantasy XVI with animal companion Torgal. A very competent dog. My vote will be for the Hedgehog. They don't get enough support so they're getting mine.

Vulpine9Tails
My first game done: Meow Motors As you can probably tell by the name, there are cats involved. You start out with one kitty to play as, and as you go you end up recruiting more to your roster and even at the end you recruit the "bad guy" kitty. It's a cute game, nothing too crazy. My favourite item to use in the game is either the shampoo bubbles or the bubblegum. Somehow the one drift trophy is harder than anything in Team Sonic Racing (because it keeps cancelling the drift combo while you're still drifting so you have to finagle with the controls more than you would think). I am surprised the fastest time is over three hours, though I shouldn't really say anything cause it took me almost a week to complete it. Anyways, my first vote is for the honeybee because we need those little guys and all their bumbly goodness. shadaik
While I'm not quite done with NG+ for Spidey Junior yet, I threw in a cute and short cat game from my backlog that has a level where eyes are growing out of the walls and stare at you. That's right, I completed Hidden Paws Mystery! What, what cat game with a level with eyes growing out of the walls staring at you did you think I was talking about? Vote goes to the platypus. Fascinating creatures and the environmental issues they face are quite important beyond their own well-being because they are heavily affected by water quality issues. Fastest Completion: 49 Minutes 36 Seconds 50th Fastest: 6 Hours 38 Minutes Right on the edge of acceptable fastest times but it seems the average is 5-6 hours. Popular Post pelagia14
I've completed my first game for this event! Ratchet & Clank Platinum The game's titular protagonist Ratchet is a Lombax, a fictional feline-like humanoid. My first vote will go toward the Snow Leopard. Popular Post Cassylvania
Game #2! I played Endling, which has you playing as a mama fox and protecting your cubs from the terribleness of humans. One vote for Red... Fox. (Sorry, Team Panda. I'm a human. I'm at least partially responsible for this. It's only fair.)

Popular Post rjkclarke
I'm gonna go ahead and assume that Batman probably counts, if Spider-Man does, I know he doesn't have powers per se.... But he does spend the majority of his time dressed as a bipedal bat.... So I'm gonna go ahead and throw Batman:Arkham Origins down as my first entry for this event.... If not I'll have to figure something else out for entry number one My vote is gonna be for the Orangutan (Male).... Although, if I do at least three entries I might go for an Orangutan trifecta ? Look how noble and dignified he looks, plus they're incredibly intelligent beings..... and also a video or two I keep getting recommended on Facebook tells me that these guys really seem to like boobs.... So there's that ..... If you want to see something really wholesome and Orangutan related check out some videos of them using tools, or sticks, in fact I might post some up whenever I get entry number two done.
MissShake
Hi everyone! We are a week into the event and I figured it'd be fun to throw some updates out. As of right now we have a tie between the red panda and the spotted jaguar, but the arctic fox and hedgehog are not far behind! Here are some stats of how the event is playing out so far: Most Played Franchise - Ratchet and Clank (4) Most Played Game - Stray (3) Most Played Genre - Adventure Most Critically Endangered Animal (that has votes) - Vaquita Users with the Most Votes - @DonLin091 and @nashoyo68
Popular Post reaperveteran86
Third game done. Kitaria Fables. A cute action adventure/rpg with light farming elements full of anthropomorphic animals in which you play as a cat named Nyanza von Whiskers. Third time`s the charme so my third vote goes to the hedgehog again.
Popular Post Breakingthegreen
Hello again friends, I have another animal game completed for you, it's Humanity (PS4) and contrary to what the title suggests, in this game you play as a Shiba Inu dog... obviously. I actually got the platinum for the PS5 version when this game first launched, and for a while was within the first 50 achievers list, (until more people were added for whatever reason,) this is due the game being absolutely stunning and is currently my GOTY. It was an enormous surprise since I was not expecting to love this game as much as I did. The game starts out as a fairly basic tile path finding puzzle game, and without spoiling, the game becomes closer to a real time strategy almost seamlessly. No game I've played has managed to shift genres so subtly and deftly. A lot is said about the music, I'm not a music expert but it is nice to listen to. But the story surprised me, it's incredibly pretentious, but I don't think that's an issue if it wasn't played as sincerely as it is here. Now let's talk about the Shiba Inu in the room. Why a dog? The answer is obvious, this ad wouldn't be nearly as fun with them. If you have PS Plus extra, I implore you to try it. New game, new animal, for this vote I'm picking the Pangolin, it's natures little medieval knight. At the start of the pandemic they were the early theory for COVID's origin, but that's now consider unlikely by scientists, so don't hold that against them, but this speculation has been said to have caused mass slaughters of them in 2020. Even without that, they are routinely killed for their scales in quack medicines which don't work and are sold on the black market. Popular Post innocent_guy
First Platinum for this year's event and like a couple of others due to the game leaving Playstation Extra I have done Stray (PS4) EU. Having played it for the 2nd time I can say it's still worth your time if you are looking for an interesting world to explore. The only slight gripe I have is the longer loading times on the PS4 which you will encounter whilst going for the hardest trophy Can't Catch Me. Although thankfully it didn't take as much time going for it a 2nd time. My Vote goes to the closest animal to Stray's cat the Black-Footed Cat.
MattbluePT
Following the trends, I also want to add Stray as one of my completed games for this event. Popular Post Breakingthegreen
Hello again, I come with a completion and a question. I have got the platinum in Crash Team Rumble (PS5). I am also on a mission to complete the PS4 which has a cross save which caused me to get the most time consuming trophy early (get to level 15 with a character) which will save me about 20 hours of my life if the PS5 version is anything to go by. However I still need to do all of the other trophies like deliver 1200 wumpa in one game. Is this enough of a 'non-autopop' to allow it to account for a second vote. I want to say before hand that due to the accusations of Activision's harassment and toxic culture I have not been buying Activision's games since 2020 and only getting them pre-owned, I waited until I could find a copy being resold on ebay (for £8 cheaper too :D.) Crash Team Rumble is something of a mix between a fantasy sports game and a hero shooter, with very unique characters at launch, with the addition of Ripper Roo making 9, most of whom being animals like bandicoots, bats, crocodiles. This context is everything you need to know which brings me to my first disappointment... the absence of any real context. All of Crash's previous racing games had the context of alien invasions or a murder mystery, even the Party games featured the masks fighting or a billionaire constructing the games. But Rumble forgoes this and the only reason for the game given is a webcomic that discusses new character 'Catbat', they described themselves as a "scorer" in "sport" and that's really it. But is the game fun... yes I had fun. Is it worth the £27 I paid, um... There was only one game mode for most of my play time and a second one was added only recently and it's leaving in two days anyway. For context, Knockout City launched at less than half the price and had multiple game modes at once and much more diverse maps. If someone told me that this was a multiplayer mode cut from Crash 4, I would have believed you. The game is one of those "drop off/capture the flag" games that I literally can't find a name for, and matches last for about five minutes. It's rarely frustrating and occasionally fantastic, the rewards and battle pass however is incredibly slow, I averaged about 500-2000XP per match, most often 1000 and gaps between the rewards were 9000XP, and character levels were even wider, getting to level 15 from 14 was a gap of 66600 XP (I don't know why they picked the Satan number) In honour of the new character Catbat, my vote is for the Vampire Bat. I have no facts about why they need help... I do know that they've lost the ability to run, this gif is their fastest land movement.
DrBloodmoney
Hey @MissShake - got a quick question for ya vis-a-vis the rules! I'm planning on doing Endling as my first game for this event (after being completely side-tracked by Fights in Tight Spaces when the Event actually began, and after doing Skyrim for it... then realising after the fact that I'm a moron who apparently can't read a calendar, and did it a full month before the event even kicked off.... ?) ...but I noticed it is currently only a biscuit away from disqualification due to this rule: Quote If the player uses Autopop, OR if the fastest (not obviously Autopopped or cheated) time on the Fastest Leaderboard section is under 30 minutes, OR the 50th place on the 'Fastest Leaderboard' is under one and a half hours, it will not be counted. I'm not trying to circumvent the rule (especially since, as I recall, I had a hand in crafting it last year ?)... ...but I did wonder exactly how it is implemented? In some events - (the UR Clean Up, for example) - declaring a game while it is eligible, is enough to guarantee it can be included, even if it slips from eligibility while the person is playing it... ...is that the case with this event too? Just a question - I'm going to be playing it anyways - but just wondered, if I say I'm doing it now, and while I am, some Speedy Gonzales's push that 50th place finish to under 90 minutes while I'm still Tortoising my way through it, can it still be used, or will I have missed the window? DoctorDrPepper
Two more for me to put up today with Jojo Siwa's Worldwide Party. There a string of level where you play as her dog. As well as the PS4 version of Stray. It was leaving PS plus next week so now seemed like the best time to get that double plat. Two more votes for Hedgehog please.
reaperveteran86
Fourth game finished: New Super Lucky`s Tale. The protagonist in this fun Jump `n Run is a fox and the (interactable) inhabitants of the different hub worlds are yeti monks, fish (the long, thin ones with the weird mouth that are the common people in mass scenes in Sponge Bob - didn`t know the name of the species) and worms that wouldn`t look out of place in an episode of Dukes of Hazzard. My vote goes to the hedgehog, as usual.
shadaik
And my number 2: Spider-Man: Miles Morales is this weekend's animal plat, though I do hope to finish Stray tomorrow. We'll see. For now, because there was a draw and I'd been thinking about voting this guy anyway, one vote goes to the Red Panda. Like my previous vote, the red panda stands for a whole ecosystem that is endangered, in this case the bamboo forests of China which have suffered from fragmentation due to human settlement and transportation infrastrusture, though the red panda is far less dependent on these forests than the more famous giant panda is.
