Popular Post nenugalimas
I started gaming with Playstation in January 2010 when I bought my first PS3, upto that point I had been a PC gamer. I started collecting trophies in 2012, have been collecting them ever since. A platinum in a game is the main goal for me. I rarely have any motivation to go after any extra DLCs. Since starting my collection I've collected a number of platinums. And here they are... 2010 #1 Uncharted 2: This was my first PS3 game and it proved to be a great one to start off with. It turned out to be one of my favorite games. Trophy wise its fairly simple with Crushing mode being the only challenge. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 2011 #2 Assassins creed 2: Another masterpiece of a game. The story is fantastic and the world is a blast to explore, namely Florence and Venice. The platinum is fairly straight forward and does not require anything challenging. Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 9.5/10 #3 Uncharted 3: A great game, though for me it was weaker than its predecessor. While the story was great and the gameplay was extremely fun, the game had just too many 'fillers'. The whole ship graveyard section for instance, while pretty impressive visually, served no purpose what so ever. They made large portions of the game annoying to play through which was a real shame. The platinum is slightly easier than U2 as the Crushing difficulty is considerably easier in this game. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #4 Modern Warfare 2: This game is amazing. It was the first FPS game that i played online and it also got me into the COD franchise. The story was a short, mediocre experience with an alright story and solid gameplay. Nothing outstanding. The spec ops and the multiplayer however proved to be an immense amount of fun and had me sinking 100s of hours into them. The platinum is fairly easy, but the 2 player spec ops missions were a pain due to the online coop being way too laggy to play, which forced me to do them splitscreen with a friend who doesn't play FPS games. Needless to say it proved to be an immense challenge. At least all the other missions could be done solo. Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 9.5/10 #5 Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen This game took a while to get into, after not playing this game for over a year I finally forced myself to play this game to get the platinum. Surprisingly this game was rather fun. It had no real story to speak of (much like the movie). Which is to be expected. It did however have a surprisingly fun gameplay aspect to it. With all the driving, transforming and trashing of robots it proved to be quite entertaining. Trophy wise its very easy once all the upgrades have been unlocked. Very surprising to have this being and Ultra Rare trophy. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 #6 GTA IV: GTA 4 was an amazing game with a surprisingly deep story and a very well crafted protagonist. Liberty City was outstanding as well and was a lot of fun to explore. Trophy wise this is the hardest platinum that I've achieved to date. The sheer amount of time that went into getting the platinum is mindbogglingly large (300 hours by my estimate). The singleplayer 100% took easily some 150 hours because I messed up on 2 playthroughs. The multiplayer took just as long, but was infinitely more boring. After a 1000+ hangman NOOSE completions, I finally finished this one. Difficulty: 7/10 Enjoyment: 8.5/10 2012 #7 Assassins creed Revelations: One of my best open world experiences. Constantinople was gorgeous and proved to be an immense joy to explore. The story was good and was quite captivating. I also liked the addition of the hook blade, it made traversing the world a lot faster. Trophy wise ACR is easy and quick to complete. Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 9.5/10 #8 Modern Warfare 3: I spent a large portion of the year playing this game. It was however less fun than MW2 and eventually made me lose interest in COD. The platinum was easy and aside from a few survival maps did not provide any problems. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 8.5/10 #9 Batman: Arkham city: One of the best games that I have ever played. Aside from the map sometimes being tacky to explore, the game really did everything right. Joker was especially memorable. The platinum itself was at times fairly challenging, especially doing the riddler challenges on hard. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #10 Infamous 2: A very good game with an incredibly easy platinum. An all-round win. Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #11 Assassins creed Brotherhood: This is by far the hardest AC game to platinum and took a good while to do. It is also the least enjoyable in my opinion, Rome was very annoying to traverse and the story was rather meh. Multiplayer was another addition that i didn't care for, though interestingly I liked AC:B online more than any other AC online. Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 #12 Batman: Arkham asylum: Another great batman game, unlike B:AC this game has a dire atmosphere, which works very well with the story. It is in my opinion easier than Arkham City. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #13 Max Payne 3: An OK game, couldn't really get too much into it. The story was pretty good but doesn't stand out. The platinum was challenging, between the multiplayer grind and the New York Minute Hardcore, this is a worthy platinum. Difficulty: 8.5/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 #14 Mass Effect 2: A stunning game, which i enjoyed thoroughly. It was my first RPG game and still remains one of my favorite games. The platinum is easy and fun, with no frustration involved. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #15 Red dead Redemption: Easily one of the best games ever made.I absolutely adored this game and played it a lot even after i got the 100%. Platinum wise this game is simple without anything extreme. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #16 Uncharted: This game holds up surprisingly well. Even after playing the other two Uncharted games I still loved this one. The platinum, like in all uncharted games is easy and fun. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #17 Assassins creed 3: This game came as a big disappointment, my expectation were set way to high for it. It is however a worth playing game. The Platinum is easy but does have its harder moments, particularly some of the 100% syncs. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 #18 God of War: A brilliant game with an incredible story and characters. Aside from the challenges, this game was easy and a lot of fun. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #19 God of War 2: Much like GoW 1, this was an amazing experience. The challenges were also a lot easier, reducing the frustration involved. Overall a great game for enjoyment as well as trophies. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #20 God of War: Chains of Olympus: Another great GoW game, this is also the easiest one of the lot, took just over a day to platinum. Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 8.5/10 #21 God of War: Ghost of Sparta Personally I found this game to be the weakest of the ones I've played. There's nothing memorable about the game, and there are some pretty annoying requirements for the platinum. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 2013 #22 Heavy Rain: A storytelling masterpiece. There's really not much to add to that. The platinum is easy though getting some endings can be tedious. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9.5/10 #23 Far Cry 3: Hands down one of the best games I have ever played. The environment is stunning, I've never seen a map that's even close in beauty to FC3. And then there's Vaas and Hoyt... As far as the platinum is concerned, its a simple, enjoyable experience. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #24 Gravity Rush: A wonderfully unique game that is tremendously fun to play. Its a truly magical experience from the start to the end. Platinum wise, its simple, quick and not overly taxing. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #25 F1 Race Stars: A fun little kart racing game. The platinum is rather challenging due to the tricky time trials, where some of them, I finished with only 0.01 seconds to spare... Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 #26 Uncharted: Golden Abyss: Much like the rest of the Uncharted games, this is a great title to play, especially considering that its on the vita. The Platinum is the same as the rest of the series - quick, simple, fun. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #27 Metal Gear Solid 3: My First MGS experience that quickly pulled me down the MGS rabbit hole. Its a very good title and a very easy platinum. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #28 Virtues Last Reward: I personally view the story of this game as THE best video game story. It might not be much gameplay wise, but it more than makes for it with the Plot. The trophies are very straight forward resulting in a very easy platinum. Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #29 Metal Gear Solid 2: Another MGS masterpiece, I personally liked Raiden, unlike many people, so I really don't have anything to pick on. The game was a lot of fun. Platinum wise this can be annoying as the 500 missions alone takes between 35-50 hours (took me 45), playing through the game on all difficulties is also rather time consuming. Extreme difficulty is also pretty difficult to beat. Difficulty: 8/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #30 Mass Effect 3: Just like its predecessor, this game was able to deliver a breathtaking experience. I personally like this more than ME2. I also don't have a problem with the ending, as i find it to be relevant to the story. The platinum just like ME2 is easy, though getting 5000 kills can be annoying. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #31 Velocity Ultra: A lovely game for the vita, It can be challenging at times, but its nothing that can't be handled. I also enjoyed the extra mini-games that this game has. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #32 Lord of the Rings: War in the North: This game is fun but all the glitches make it annoying. Out of the 3 playthrough required to platinum the game 2 had glitches that prevented me from advancing through the story, luckily I managed to work around them in multiplayer. As far as the platinum is concerned, the game is fairly straightforward, though beating it on all difficulties can take time. Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 #33 Hitman Absolution: I really did not enjoy the game. I found the gameplay to be rather boring, only the Chinatown levels were fun. The story was pretty fun, but nothing amazing. The platinum for this is very easy. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 #34 Rayman Origins: This one was ridiculously fun to play. In my opinion the game did everything right and delivered an amazing platforming experience. The trophies are easy, but some of the levels can become quite annoying. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #35 ICO: I did not like this game. I know its held in high regard but I really couldn't enjoy it. The 2 hour speedrun was especially annoying with Yorda being who she is... Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 #36 Motorstorm Apocalypse: This game might not make any sense but its still a lot of fun. Driving through a collapsing city definitely adds to the excitement. The only part i didn't enjoy was collecting the cards, some of which were rather difficult to obtain. Overall this is a great game with an easy platinum. Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #37 Unit 13: A pointless game if you ask me. It can get very annoying very quickly. The platinum on the other hand is simple enough. Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 4/10 #38 Okami HD: I spent 60 hours to get the platinum, when others do it in 40. I do not regret anything. Okami is amazing from every perspective and fully justifies the time taken to beat its campaign. Would reccomend this to anyone. Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #39 LEGO: Lord of the Rings: While its fun enough, Its very forgettable. I pretty much don't remember anything of the game. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 #40 NFS Most Wanted: While not nearly as good as the original, this is still a blast to play. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #41 Jak and Daxter (vita): A lovely game and the best in the series in my opinion. collecting the 2000 orbs can be tedious though. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #42 Jak 2 (vita): This was not fun, the broken mechanics and the complete absence of checkpoints still leaves a sour taste in my mouth... Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 2/10 #43 Jak 3 (vita): Jak 3 was quite enjoyable. It fixed most of the problems that I had with Jak 2, resulting in a lot less frustration. Still though, I wish they would have kept the formula of Jak 1 instead of making a GTA wannabee... Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 #44 Shadow of the Colossus: One of my favorites, even after beating it 7 times for the platinum, I still go back and play it every now and then. The Hard time Attacks were a breeze, which surprised me after what I heard from other people. Overall an amazing game with a mildly challenging platinum. Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #45 New little Kings story: This came as a big surprise, the game does not look like much but its definitely a great title. Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #46 and #47 Motorstorm RC: For something so simple this was pretty fun. The trophies were fairly simple and the platinum easily achievable. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 #48 The Last of Us: A mind blowing title, One of the best games that I've played. The story was amazing and was very well told. Trophy wise this is fairly challenging, beating the game on survivor was not overly difficult, but the multiplayer makes up for it. The 12 weeks trophies were annoying... Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #49 Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD: I found this game to be very good until the 'Big Twist' in the story. After that point the game was basically an FPS title, a big let down... Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 #50 Saints Row the Third: This game is so much fun that it deserves to be #50... Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #51 Guacamelee!: Much like Rayman's 2D games this is an amazing experience. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 2014 Spoiler #52 Metal Gear Rising Revengeance: A truly amazing game, that was an absolute pleasure to be played. This is easily one of my favorite games. Trophy wise this platinum is can be quite tricky to do. Difficulty: 6/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #53 GRID 2: This could have been a lot of fun but the continuous loading really ruined the experience. 4 minutes of loading for 3 minutes of gameplay is unreasonable IMO... Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 #54 Remember me: An interesting title, which really surprised me. All the reviews had led me to believe it was awful. Good thing I trusted my gut and played it... Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #55 The Walking Dead (vita): Not much of a platinum, beating the game hardly seems like a feat worth of a platinum... Gameplay wise this is awesome, the story is very good and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It did bother me that none of the choices mattered though. Difficulty: 0/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #56 Metro Last light: A solid title that's fun to play. While the story is meh, the setting of the game is beyond amazing. There's one bridge scene that was particularly intense. In my opinion the atmosphere beats even TLoU... Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #57 Saints Row IV: Not nearly as fun as SR3 but a good time nonetheless. While not related to the platinum 'Enter the Dominatrix' DLC made up for the decrease in humor since the previous title. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #58 Bioshock Infinite: My personal game of the year 2013. The only thing that i didn't like is the ending, everything else was stellar. From the setting to the characters, an all-round brilliant game. Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #59 and #60 Sound shapes: The ease of this platinum was unsettling, even death mode was a joke... Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 #61 Hotline Miami: The fact that I can sum up the game within 4 steps is pretty sad... It gets so repetitive, its painful. Answer phone->Get in car->Kill everyone->Get in car, repeat those steps for all chapters and you got yourself a game... The platinum is very easy, could have been easier if I knew about the lock on... Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 #62 Soul Sacrifice: One of the best titles on the vita, that I have played. It has a very distinctive feel of Monster Hunter freedom (my favorite handheld game) which is a very big bonus. The platinum is time consuming (took me 70 hours) and some quests are particularly difficult. Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #63 Moto GP 13 (vita): An alright game, nothing id spend money on. The platinum can get very annoying when you need to grind 3 hours of online gameplay and the multiplayer doesn't work. It took me a good 10 hours to finish a 3 hour trophy... Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 5/10 #64 Dead or Alive 5: The hardest platinum that i have achieved to date. The fact that I haven't played fighters before made this even harder. The game itself is fun, though the multiplayer can sometimes be tortuously laggy... Most of the trophies are straight forward but the survival mode was a major pain in the arse and took forever to finish. Overall despite the limitless rage that this game inflicted upon me, I ended up liking it. Difficulty:9/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #65 and #66 Sly Cooper: Thieves in time (vita): Personally I didnt like the game, while the story was solid and fun to play the requirements for the plat were simply annoying. When a game has more than a 100 collectibles thats when it becomes incredibly boring... Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 #67 Tomb Raider: The single player is one of the best experiences that Ive had gaming. It has an amazing atmosphere, a decent story and likable characters. My two playthroughs were both incredibly enjoyable. The multiplayer on the other hand... It was positively awful. It was so bad that its sad even for a 'Tacked on' multiplayer IMO... Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #68 Pro Evolution Soccer 2014: This game redefines the meaning of boredom. I don't have anything positive to say about this game really. Its an easy platinum at least... Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 1/10 (And that's being generous ) #69 Lone Survivor: A surprisingly deep game. Had trouble getting into it at the beginning but grew fond of it as I continued to play. Great game overall and a very easy platinum. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #70 Smart As: A pretty fun game to kill time, nothing worth spending money on. The platinum is fairly easy but takes forever due to do the street smart challenges that only refresh once a week. Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 #71 LOST PLANET 2: I love this game for some reason, it may not be perfect but its certainly fun. The fact that I enjoyed the game so much is the only reason why I managed to complete it. The platinum requirements are seriously demented. From the incredibly long grind to having to obtain a world record, this game is certainly an immense challenge. Overall this one took 4 years and over 700 hours of gameplay to complete. Difficulty: 10/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #72 Dragons Crown: An amazing game that was a lot of fun. The story was pretty mediocre, the gameplay however was brilliant. It was quite complex and dynamic. A very nice title on the vita. The only thing that I didn't like about the game was the ridiculous grind... Overall the game took around 60 hours to complete, not too bad all things considered. Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 9.5/10 #73 Borderlands 2: I have have a very mixed opinion about this game. On one hand its an amazing FPS title with a funny story, great characters and an amazing coop mode. On the other its just plain annoying, the gameplay is monotonous and pretty boring. The coop is also not all that it could have been. The gameplay is glitchy and lags extensively. To sum up, this is a great title but is probably more aimed at PC than the PS3. I just feel like a PC could run the game a lot smoother thus making it more enjoyable, especially when it comes to the coop mode. The trophies for this game are pretty straightforward but the luck based ones really got on my nerves (looking at you Jimmy Jenkins) Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #74 LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes (Vita) A fun little game. As a fan of batman I found this to be quite enjoyable. The rest of the justice league was also a nice touch. Trophy wise this game is easy, the justice league challenges can be a little annoying but nothing too bad. Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 #75 BioShock: A true masterpiece. After playing BioShock Infinite I had to play this one, as I heard good things about it. BioShock did not disappoint. An amazing atmosphere, great story and perfectly crafted characters make this an incredibly enjoyable experience. The survivor difficulty was also great. I really enjoyed it as it heavily depends on strategy and is therefore very immersive. I did find it ridiculous at times, especially when splicers manage to survive 4 buckshots to the face from point blank range. Trophy wise its simple, but the bloody collectibles got on my nerves... Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #76 Spec Ops: The Line: A magnificent game. The characters, story and the overall atmosphere were done really well making the story very immersive. The combat felt clunky at times but didn't take much away from the experience as a whole. FUBAR wasn't bad either, aside from a few checkpoints it was fairly simple. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9.5/10 #77 LEGO: Harry Potter: Years 5-7 (Vita): This game was not good. In fact I have a hard time believing that the producers looked at it and thought "Yeah, that's a game worth playing"... On the bright side the platinum is easy, takes some 12-15 hours. That 12 hours felt like an eternity though.... Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: A nice big 0/10 #78 PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate: Not much of a game. It was fun for a while but became a real drag towards the end. it was repetitive and at times quite annoying. The trophies in this one are easy and quick. Nothing remotely difficult. Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 4/10 #79 Demon's Souls: Demon's souls wasn't as good as I had hoped. I found it to be a more annoying than fun. While it did posses a great atmosphere, the game suffered from faulty gameplay IMO. I found myself constantly fighting against the character, he did not seem intent on following my commands. The lock-on was also constantly scheming against me, jumping to a random enemies causing me to walk off the map... Overall a pretty decent experience though it could have been a lot better had it had a more refined gameplay mechanic. Trophy wise it isn't hard, the only problem is getting the Pure Bladestone. Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 #80 Jak and Daxter (PS3): A great game, definitely a lot of fun. Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 9.5/10 #81 Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus: I really liked this game and had a good time playing it. While the story isn't anything outstanding, the gameplay is amazing. Its fluid, precise and very skill dependent. A great game to have on the Vita. The trophies in this game are challenging, requiring players to master every aspect of the game. Took me a good 160 hours to achieve all of the trophies. In the end i'm pretty happy with this one. Difficulty: 9.5/10 Enjoyment: 9.5/10 #82 Jak 2 (PS3): This game was a lot less annoying on the PS3 than it was on the Vita. The gameplay was smoother, easier to handle and had less frustrating limitations. That said it was still rage inducing, mainly because of the stupid checkpoints, or the complete absence of them... Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 5/10 #83 Jak 3 (PS3): Jak 3 was quite enjoyable. It fixed most of the problems that I had with Jak 2, resulting in a lot less frustration. Still though, I wish they would have kept the formula of Jak 1 instead of making a GTA wannabee... Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 #84 XCOM: Enemy Unknown: A great turn based strategy game, definitely one of my favorites. While the game didn't offer much in terms of story, it did have amazing gameplay. XCOM was truly able to capture the essence of a strategy driven game, in it all choices matter no matter how small or trivial, which pushes players to evaluate all possible choices and not make rash decisions. Overall a really good game, the only problem I had with it was the frequent glitching which became quite annoying. Trophy wise its an easy one, albeit time consuming. The impossible playthrough was the only challenging requirement and that too wasn't anything special. Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #85 PlayStation All-stars Battle Royale (Vita): I really didn't enjoy this game, it just seemed mediocre in every aspect. The online was especially unenjoyable especially with all the obnoxious players online... Definitely not something that I will continue to play. Trophy wise, the game is very easy and can be done in as little as a few hours. Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 4/10 #86 Everybody's golf: A fun little game with plenty of courses, characters and unlockables. It was quite enjoyable for the most part. Trophy wise its nothing too difficult though it does rely on luck a lot more than I would have liked. Difficulty: 6/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 #87 Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning: A brilliant game that I have been putting off for way too long. Its one of those gems that was incredibly enjoyable from start to finish. Its definitely a game worth experiencing. As far as trophies are concerned, it is simple yet time consuming. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #88 Final Horizon (Vita): This game was really Meh. It didn't have anything to offer that other tower defense games don't offer. Mediocre gameplay, awful graphics and very little variety. Like I said, Meh. Trophy wise, its very easy though grinding kills got really tedious. Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 4/10 2015 Spoiler #89 RESOGUN (Vita): A wonderful shmup, with lots of action, explosions and awesomeness. The game runs remarkably well on the vita and I haven't encountered a single drop in frame rate. This was a pleasant surprise considering that this is a port. Overall a very nice game and something Im going to continue to play even after getting the platinum. Trophy wise its simple enough, only trophy that gave me trouble was getting x15 multiplier, which wasn't too bad either. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #90 The Darkness II: I really enjoyed the darkness, it was well paced, interesting and above all had very satisfying gameplay filled with fancy executions, tearing of limbs and slicing of enemies. The story while not extraordinary was enthralling and proved to be quite fascinating, I really enjoyed playing through it. The art style was also interesting and matched the game perfectly. The only gripe I had with this game were some unskippable cutscenes, that got in my way of butchering endless lines of enemies (Or was it friends?... Actually its not important, they died honorably) Overall a very good experience with an incredibly easy platinum. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #91 Crysis 3: Crysis 3 is a great FPS title. It had a solid story, well developed characters and most importantly had very satisfying gameplay. The singleplayer was truly well done. Unfortunately I can't say that I feel the same way about the multiplayer. While it's not bad per se, it suffered from balancing and connectivity issues. It also didn't help that its a wasteland, there were only a few people that still played the game and most game modes were completely dead. This might have been fun back when the game was new, however now, its not really. Trophy wise its fairly straight forward and can be done in less than 20 hours. Nice and easy, just the way I like it. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 #92 Hitman 2: Silent Assassin: While this game was good, I really couldn't find much enjoyment in it. I came to realize that I'm not the most stealthy of people and get bored remarkably quickly having to play inconspicuously. Honestly the only part of the platinum that I had fun with was chasing after civilians with the golf club. Unfortunately the game doesn't give too many opportunities to do that. Trophy wise, the game is easy enough though the professional difficulty can get rather tedious. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 4/10 #93 Velocity 2X (Vita): A great sequel to the first game. It improved on the original in pretty much every aspect. The gameplay is smooth, well made and very enjoyable. Complimented by solid level design and soundtrack it makes for a very good experience. A great game for the vita. Trophy wise its challenging but nothing too hard. Getting the perfect medals on some levels is quite taxing but can be completed with enough patience. Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 9.5/10 #94 Muramasa Rebirth: Muramasa Rebirth is an excellently crafted game with a good story, interesting characters and very satisfying gameplay. I had a great time playing through it. Trophy wise its fairly simple but time consuming. Fury mode was a nice challenge but nothing too hard. Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #95 The Hungry Horde: THH is a fun little game to kill time. It provides senseless entertainment much like most mobile games do. Lacking any sort of story its main draw is the arcade style gameplay in which the player is tasked to kill as many humans as possible within the time limit. Admittedly it proved to be quite addictive. That being said the game suffers from massive frame rate drops and many other performance issues. This ruined the experience quite a bit for me. It also suffers from an odd glitch which causes all zombies to simply die ending the run, it got very annoying when going after high scores. Trophy wise its nothing difficult just a long grind. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 #96 Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel: Personally I find it difficult to understand why this game draws so much negativity. This game is just as good as BL2 IMO. Its fun, well paced and overall a fun game to play. The only gripe that I have with it are the immense difficulty spikes that this game has every so often, particularly the deadlift fight. Trophy wise its fairly grindy and time consuming. Aside from that its simple enough. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #97 Killzone Mercenary: KZM is one of the better games on the vita providing tight gameplay and a fairly decent story. Single player wise, it was a good time throughout. The multiplayer on the other hand just didn't work, after getting constantly dropped from matches I was eventually forced to buy the DLC just to complete the 100 matches. Trophy wise the game is easy but extremely grindy, the 10000 kill trophy was especially annoying. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 #98 Frozen Synapse Prime: An interesting turn based strategy game. It has a similar format to the missions in XCOM but is much more complex. The amount of choices and actions available are really impressive and give plenty of ways to approach different situations. It does however grow monotonous as this is the only thing that can be done in the game. The biggest complaint with this game is the online. The servers would go down almost every half hour and stay off for a lot longer. Made the online trophies very annoying. Trophy wise its fairly easy. Quite surprising that its so rare. Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 #99 Mirrors Edge: A magnificent game that was a blast to play from start to finish. Really enjoyed this one. It was super generous of EA to give this for free. Trophy wise its challenging but nothing too bad. Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #100 Toukiden: The Age of Demons: As a game that is essentially a Monster Hunter knock off, this proved to be quite decent fun. Theres loads to do and see, giving it massive replay value. The problem that I had with this game is the lack of difficulty which MH has. Since the game is so easy, grinding for equipment becomes pretty redundant which takes away quite a bit of its charm and in general makes the game pretty unrewarding. That being said, theres still 100s of hours worth of content in the game, which for the most part is enjoyable. Trophy wise this game is a bloody grind fest. It took me 285 hours to finish it, making it one of my grindiest platinums. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #101 PROTOTYPE 2: An okay game, nothing outstanding just a mindless time-kill. It was enjoyable for the most part with pretty good gameplay but a useless plot. Trophy wise, its as easy as it gets. Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 #102 Teslagrad: Im torn about this game. On one hand it was a really fun puzzle platformer with satisfying, fun puzzles to solve. On the other, however, it was simply annoying. Around halfway through the game the developers seemed to decide that they are now making a 'Velocity' game, only they didn't seem to realize that their game was too clunky to make such precise gameplay possible. It got quite preposterous during the boss fights, and honestly to me that ruined a very promising game. The trophies in this one are really easy and take no more than 2-3 hours. Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 #103 Assassins Creed Rogue: Personally, I really enjoyed this game. The story while short was enjoyable with a very likable protagonist. The naval aspect of the game was also great. Trophy wise the game is straightforward and simple with nothing remotely challenging. Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #104 God of War: Ascension: Not the best Gow game out there but its still solid fun. Some of the battles in the game were really quite breathtaking. The problem with it is the fact that its exactly the same as the other GoW games and becomes rather repetitive to be honest. Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 #105 Oddworld New 'n' Tasty: What a broken mess of a game. I mean seriously, how do you release a game in this state? During the 20 or so hours that I spent playing the game, it must have hard frozen at least 15 times (Corrupting a save during one of them). This was a really bad experience, which is a shame considering that the game is pretty cool. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 4/10 #106 Geometry Wars 3 (Vita): A really fun and addictive game. Had a blast playing it from start to finish. The trophies in the game were fairly challenging though nothing too tough. It was annoying having to grind the million geoms, especially since when I was done with everything I only had around 250k. Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 2016 #107 Sonic & All stars racing transformed: This one was a really fun experience. The game was excellently crafted with great level design and fantastic gameplay. The only problem that I had with the game was that boats would randomly flip causing delays, which on expert resulted in an almost certain loss. Trophy wise the game has a lot of challenge to offer though nothing too extreme. Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #108 BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend (Vita): A fairly fun 2D fighter that I enjoyed for the most part. I do think that the game has a barrier of entry that is way too high. Learning the game mechanics is harder than it should be IMO. Trophy wise the game offers a good challenge. The combo trophies were quite tough to pull off against the AI and proved to be by far the biggest challenge. The rest of it was mainly a long grind. The Abyss item grind in particular was simply ludicrous, hate RNG grinds. Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 #109 Rogue Legacy: RL was a fun game that I enjoyed quite a bit. That being said, the game lost most of its appeal as I continued to play it. There were too many things in the game that were simply cheap and sucked all fun out of the game. Alexander IV is a grand example of this. Trophy wise the game is fairly simple though the Redux bosses can be a real nuisance. Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 #110 SSX: SSX is a great game for the most part. The gameplay in the game is really good. Fast, dangerous and above all stylish. Theres a lot of enjoyment to be had there. trophy wise its simple enough though I have to admit, the game did over stay its welcome. The whole 'global event' grind just wasn't fun. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #111 Lemmings Touch: A good game in theory though its let down by its gameplay. Controlling the lemmings is an unnecessary struggle. The inability to set actions to start after other actions proved to be super annoying as some instances require perfect precision. Needless to say most mission failures were from lack of complexity of controls and not the puzzles itself. A shame really, the game had a lot going for it. Trophy wise its a short, easy platinum though I have to say its extremely infuriating at times. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 #112 BioShock 2: Being a big fan of the other BioShock games, I expected to like this game. Too bad it did not deliver an enjoyable experience. The whole thing felt like a dragged out DLC for the first BioShock game. It was just a slog for the most part, the exploration felt monotonous, the combat had little to offer and the story had very little weight or meaning. Overall the single player experience was a huge disappointment. The multiplayer I wont even talk about... Trophy wise the game is easy but time consuming. Unfortunately most of that time is spent hacking turrets, which is not ideal to say the least. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 4/10 #113 Tom Clancy's EndWar: A surprisingly fun game. I didnt expect much going in so was pleasantly surprised. The game provided solid gameplay which had a decent amount of complexity to it. I did find myself wishing for a more fleshed out version of the macro RISK-like game that the game had. Most of the attack patterns simply made no sense and made me wish for more control over the war plans. When it came to the negative aspects of the game, the camera was by far the worst problem. Why the devs decided to lock the camera to individual units is beyond me; felt very constricting playing without a free camera. Trophy wise the game is fairly straight forward just requires a mind numbing amount of online grinding. Difficulty: 7/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 #114 Thief: This game was a lot better than I expected it to be. After hearing some reviews I didnt expect it to be anything short of horrible but found it to be quite enjoyable. That being said, the map design... I gave no words, its a special kind of bad lol. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 #115 LittleBIgPlanet Karting: A solid karting game that was fun for the most part though I have to say; the broken online was really annoying and a giant waste of time. The unreliable nature of the servers made the online trophies a major pain. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 #116 RUSE: Had a really great time with this one. The gameplay was smooth, intuitive and surprisingly complex. Im glad TB covered the game as it flew way under the radar; would have missed out on a great RTS experience. Trophy wise it has its fair share of difficult requirements though its nowhere near as difficult as the rarity would suggest. Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #117 EDF 2017: Finally, after 270 hours worth of effort; I unlocked this platinum. It was enjoyable for the most part though I have to say the weapon drop RNG is total bullshit. The endless grinding for gear was insufferable. Trophy wise the game is a hefty challenge particularly if tackled solo like I did it. It requires a lot of skill, time and luck. Pretty happy at having achieved this. Difficulty: 7/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #118 Super time force Ultra: A fun game with really unique gameplay; had a great time with this one. Trophy wise this game is quick and easy, not sure why the platinum is Ultra rare. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #119 Super Meat Boy (Vita): Its rare to find a game that is simultaneously fun and frustratingly difficult; super meat boy is definitely one of those games. Had a great time with this game from start to finish. That being said the game does seem to have technical difficulties on the vita that get particularly bad in rapture and cotton alley dark worlds. The frame rate slowed down if I played for an hour or so, making some levels borderline unplayable. I ended up having to restart the game every 30 mins to maintain the framerate. Trophy wise SMB offers quite the challenge, doing the no death runs was an absolute nightmare. I ended up dying 30,000 times on my way to the platinum. Difficulty: 9/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 #120 OlliOlli 2:A really fun and addicting game with tight controls and high speed gameplay. Had a great time with it. Trophy wise the game was easier than I expected but still a fair challenge. Some of the challenges on later levels were quite difficult to do. Difficulty: 6/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #121 HAWX 2:Initially I was never intending on playing this game but after the server closure was announced I decided to give it a go. HAWX 2 was surprisingly enjoyable and provided solid entertainment for the most part. Will definitely have to play the first one at some point. Trophy wise the game is fairly straightforward though I have to say, some trophy requirements are really annoying; nothing hard just unnecessarily time consuming. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #122 La Mulana EX: Im not the biggest fan of the game. Its not bad, its just not my cup of tea. For fans of the genre this would probably provide a great experience. Trophy wise the game is fairly difficult providing plenty of challenge though I must say some parts of it were unnecessarily difficult. Every now and then I would get the feeling that this game was made by sadists lol. Difficulty: 7/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 #123 Legends of War: LoW is a fairly decent battle strategy game. While no where near as complex as id like it to be, it was still fun while it lasted. The only real problem that I had with it were the tree canopies blocking the camera. It got really annoying having to fiddle with the camera to try and see the units. Trophy wise the game is an easy one and takes only a few hours to complete. Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 #124 Super exploding Zoo: An alright game to kill a few hours with. Unfortunately thats just about as much replay value as the game has. After 2 or 3 hours of gameplay I was already loosing interest. Trophy wise SEZ is very quick and easy hardly taking 5 hours to complete. Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 #125 Call of Juarez: Bound in blood: The game really hasn't aged too well. It looks pretty bad and plays less than optimally. I found the gameplay to be way too floaty and unresponsive. That being said the story more than redeemed the game for me. I had a great time following the story of the McCalls as they went in search of the Aztec treasure. Would definitely recommend the game for its story. Trophy wise the game is fairly straightforward though I have to say the 'Very hard' difficulty mode was absolute horseshit. Why do game devs believe that making the enemies 1-shot kill the player makes the game hard? Especially when they expect you to single handedly bring down an entire army. What a 'fair' challenge! Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #126 Amnesia Memories: Some of the paths were alright but for the most part I found the game to be a complete slog. It didnt help that the main character is a complete brain dead moron. I mean seriously, so many situations in the game could have been resolved/avoided if she had at least a couple of functional brain cells On the bright side the game let me name her f-22 raptor. I feel like Ive derived more enjoyment from that than the game itself. Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 4/10 #127 Medal of Honor: Warfighter: Going into this I expected just another MMS; just a bit of mindless fun. Somehow, the game failed to deliver. Considering that the genre has been done to death, I was of the opinion that it has been perfected. Apparently not... The game was littered with bizarre design choices in the campaign and the multiplayer. I didn't have too many problems with the campaign, it had its moments but wasn't anything outstanding. My real beef with the game was its multiplayer. It really came across as being done without any real understanding of competitive play. The maps were horribly unbalanced with some of them being next to impossible to win for the team spawning at the wrong side. The class system was also less than optimal; making it difficult to have a loadout that suited my play style. Overall the game isnt necessarily bad per se, it just feels very mediocre when compared to other shooters like COD and Battlefield. Trophy wise the game is simple enough though the MP weapon pins do take forever to do. Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 #128 Code Realize: Guardian of Rebirth: I was going to read it buuut I ended up skipping it Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: -/10 #129 Flame Over (Vita): FO is a surprisingly fun little game. I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. The only real complaint that I have in regards to the game is its random nature. Rescuing everyone in a single run proved to be a major pain in the arse as the game insisted on spawning people engulfed in flames and killing them a fraction of a second after I entered a room. Very annoying tbh. Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 #130 Broken Age (Vita): While I did enjoy the story of BA; I didnt find it to be a particularly compelling game to play. The gameplay was annoyingly unresponsive and counter intuitive. The worst part though is the cloud save feature. Every time it fails to upload the save the game crashes. To make matters worse it attempts to do so even if there isnt an internet connection or the system is in airplane mode. I had my internet go out one day and literally couldn't play the game as it crashed moments after booting up. The games a real technical mess tbh. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 #131 Chariot: Chariot proved to be surprisingly fun; didn't expect much going in but ended up having an enjoyable experience. The platforming was well done having smooth, intuitive gameplay and there was enough variety throughout the game to keep it interesting. Would definitely recommend the game. Trophy wise, Chariot provides a solid challenge. While most of the game isnt anything too hard; Doing the hidden level with one controller was brutal taking hours of trial and error to do. Quite a satisfying plat to get. Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 7.5/10 #132 Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments (PS3) It would be a fun game if it worked. The performance of this game is an absolute atrocity. The frame rate is awful and the loading times are painfully long. It wouldnt surprise me to learn that half of my time with the game was spent staring at loading screens. Lots of wasted potential IMO. Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 4/10 #133 Grim Fandango Remastered: Had a great time with this one. While the gameplay isnt anything special the writing is superb. I think they did a really good job crafting the world and the characters. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 2017 Spoiler #134 Little Deviants: Im not a fan of this game, it felt too much like a gimmick to me. The minigames are very hit or miss; some work fine while others have major issues. The quality of gameplay is very inconsistent. Trophy wise the game is fairly easy. Not sure why its so rare but ill take it. Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 5/10 #135 Death Track Resurrection: What a horrible game, it boggles the mind that something in this state was deemed fit for release. It was fairly fun initially as one of the so-bad-its-good games, but that quickly went away. The majority of the game was nothing more than a mind numbing slog fest. Needless to say the game is riddled with bugs and glitches. They even managed to get cars spawning in the wrong place at the start line, sometimes even facing the wrong direction The only silver lining from all this is adding another <1% platinum to the collection. I would not recommend this game. Difficulty: 7/10 Enjoyment: 5/10 #136 Day of the tentacle Remastered: Im not really a fan of point and clicks but this game was pretty good. I found the few hours with it to be quite enjoyable. Admittedly the controls leave a lot to be desired, its sometimes very awkward to play. Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 #137 DownWell: Its a great game for the most part. It looks great and plays even better. I thoroughly enjoyed playing through it on the normal difficulty. I found it to be tough but fair. Hard was a different matter though. From what I can tell a lot of the difficulty came purely from RNG. It gets quite infuriating failing simply because the game throws impossible odds at you. I really think the hard difficulty needs rebalancing to reduce the over reliance on RNG. Difficulty: 6/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 #138 Earth Defense Force 2: Had a great time with this one much like with 2017. The game is really enjoyable for the most part though there are a few parts where it does get a little annoying like the final boss fight but as a whole its a satisfying game to play. That being said Im not a fan of the number of missions that were reused from 2017. It felt like every other mission Ive already played before... Trophy wise its quite the grind, took me 300 hours to finish everything. I did have a pretty bad time with the RNG though. I feel like it could be done in ~200 hours with the right drops. Difficulty: 7/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 #139 Hitman Contracts: I liked this one a lot more than SA. It was less unpredictable and much more stable. There were still some moments when the game randomly flipped out but for the most part the game did exactly what it was intended to do. Quite an enjoyable experience. Trophy wise Contacts is fairly simple. Getting all weapons can be a nuisance though. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 #140 Twisted Metal: Twisted metal can be fun at times but I found myself not really enjoying it. The gameplay was too erratic and unpredictable to provide consistent entertainment. A lot of the features felt very mediocre in its implementation, making them fun at times but a major annoyance in the majority of occasions. Trophy wise the game is fairly easy but the MP trophies are a major pain in the ass. The MP which is a mess to begin with just HAD to have really broken trophies that make boosting an absolute necessity. Fortunately all the trophies unlocked when they had to. I would've been livid if it glitched after all that effort. Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 5/10 #141 Child of Eden: I started off absolutely hating the game but I ended up quite enjoying it towards the end. Its still not something that Id choose to play for fun but its definitely not as bad as my initial impression led me to believe. My biggest issue with it is the lack of gameplay customization and various quality of life features. One would think that a game that emphasizes going after high scores would have a restart level option so you'd be able to quickly restart if you make a mistake, not this game. Apparently it makes more sense to have to back out into the menu and launching the level again smh... I also found some parts of the game, particularly the first level to have way to many bright flashing colors. I ended up getting headaches after like 30 minutes of playtime. Which is, as far as I can remember the first time a game had made me physically ill. I ended up solving the problem by turning my TV brightness down, but its still an annoying thing to have to deal with. In spite of all my complaints and my lack of enjoyment with it, id still recommend the game. It is quite a unique and interesting experience. Its worth at least giving it a playthrough IMO. Difficulty: 6/10 Enjoyment: 5/10 A-Z Platinums A- Assassins Creed II B- Batman Arkham City C- Crysis 3 D- Dead or Alive 5 E- Everybody's golf F- Far Cry 3 G- Gravity Rush H- Heavy rain I- Infamous 2 J- Jak 3 K- Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning L- Lost Planet 2 M- Metro Last light N- Need for speed Most wanted O- Okami HD P- PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate Q- ? But i do have a question for you.. do you find the platinum for jak 2 as easy as for jak 1? really..? for me at least, jak 2 is way harder then jak 1. cybershark91
Great list! But i do have a question for you.. do you find the platinum for jak 2 as easy as for jak 1? really..? for me at least, jak 2 is way harder then jak 1. I also got the plat in Jak II and at least for me Jak II was the most difficult game in the series. There were in my opinion way to many unfair passages with way to huge amounts of enemys and almost no checkpoints. Still it was a enjoyable game in my opinion, but everybody has it's own difficult feeling I guess ^^ @nenugalimas: You really have a nice trophy list. I still trying to get the plat in Bioshock infinite, but for me it's actually quite a difficult game. I'm not the best in shooter games ^^ Keep it up

nenugalimas
Added to the list: Tomb Raider: The single player is one of the best experiences that Ive had gaming. It has an amazing atmosphere, a decent story and likable characters. My two playthroughs were both incredibly enjoyable. The multiplayer on the other hand... It was positively awful. It was so bad that its sad even for a 'Tacked on' multiplayer IMO...
nenugalimas
Added to the list: #68 Pro Evolution Soccer 2014: This game redefines the meaning of boredom. Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Ive also arranged my backlog by their metacritic score. Ill be going through them in this order: Borderlands 2 Demons souls XCOM: Enemy unknown DMC Mortal Kombat Kingdoms of Amalur Dragons Dogma Puppeteer Catherine Spec Ops: the line Mafia
TwilightSpira
Amazing job bud but are you playing a specific game only based in reviews of metacritic? reviewers have a odd taste, probably you should decide based in your mood for each game. Other than that, keep the good work I almost forgot, Congratulations on Tomb Raider platinum, amazing single player, sad theres a annoying MP, you need to be a "True survivor" to stand that awful mode.
