Superheroes and heroes in general, I wrote down all the DC and Marvel games since those are the most well-known, but like I said other characters are allowed (Spawn, Watchmen, The Phantom, Zorro, Turok, etc).  If Sherlock Holmes appears in comic books, then I don't see why he couldn't be used for the challenge since he is a hero althought the original vision of this challenge was focused on the more traditional comic books superheroes/heroes (DC, Marvel, etc).

 

In my case I will stick to the original vision of the challenge for my picks. However I would pick a not so well-known/popular superhero game is one is ever released (e.g. a proper Zorro game).

What about Conan the Barbarian? I don't know much about comics, but I know that he's a comic book character (hero?), and he's the only character with a game that I completed (Conan Exiles) 🤔
And would Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games count? Like I said, I don't know much about comics so I'm not sure if these characters would count as "superheroes" for this challenge

Regarding "Superheroes Don't Take Vacations", I'm now allowing to use up to 3 games where:

• a hero/superhero doesn't have a comic book origin (e.g. inFamous, Control, etc)
• a hero/superhero has a manga origin (Xenoverse, Jump Force, etc)
• you play as a villian/supervillian but for this one the villian/supervillian is required to have a comic book origin (e.g. Suicide Squad). No villians from manga or non-comic book villians allowed.

@DoctorDrPepper, PS2 games are not allowed for the "A Classic Never Dies" challenge, at least not yet. Please let me know when you have updated your list.

 

@ProfSeajay7, @Matto_lsi now DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace (PS4 & PS5) and LEGO DC Super-Villains (4 stacks onS4) are allowed among other games, please check my posts above.

 

@damage_6-9, @freddie1989 please share a link of your spreadsheet with your entries so I can add you to the Hall of Fame.

 

Also, for everybody, please remember that for the "Elite Athlete" challenge when you use non-sports games the non-sport game has to have an actual competition against another person or the A.I. for it to count. You can't simply put e.g. "Fishing" or "Darts" when the game doesn't have any kind of competition but a pastime activity.

 

Previously I didn't allow Lawn Bowling (Assassin's Creed III) but after checking again I learned that people (not so many though) actually held competitions so it's allowed now.

 

Please remember the competition requirement for the game to count otherwise it won't if it is only a pastime activity. I trust you'll be honest.

Does a Chocobo Riding Competition from a Final Fantasy game (i.e. FFX) count for the Athlete challenge as it's own sport? @Deceptrox

 

Regardless of that question, i'm changing around a few games from my list to include them for the optional challenges. Amount of days completed stays the same (230).

 

Sherlock Holmes Crimes & Punishment on 1st Jan.

Arcade Game Series: Ms. Pac-Man on 22nd Feb.

Infamous on 4th Oct.

TMNT Shredder's Revenge on 5th Dec.

 

Borderlands The Pre-Sequel (PS3) takes over the January spot in Favorite Series.

Spyro 3 takes over the February spot in Playstation Forever.

Trine 2 (PS3) takes over the October spot in Indie Games.

God of War III (PS4) takes over the December spot in Playstation Forever.

 

Newly added the optional challenges 5 (Superheroes) and 6 (Athlete) and 8 (Classics Never Die).

Please include a link to your original post in case you edited it.

 

If you check other entries people already put sports that do not exist like hoverboard bike racing or future sport, so let's not be so strict with that, if it has a competition in it and is similar to an existing sport I don't see why you can't include it.

I have 41/366 days.

 

BTB, do I have to put the first platinum I earned if I earn multiple platinums or can I use any platinum I earned on a day? I platinumed six games on Cinco de Mayo.

You can only choose 1 platinum per day, but if you want you can replace it at any time by any game you platted in a previous, the same, or a later year and you must adjust your challenges accordingly if they are affected by that change.

 

For example, for my January 14th entry I platted Payday: The Heist in 2021 and Batman: Arkham Asylum (PS3) this year. In the end I decided to pick Payday: The Heist for my January 14th entry. 

 

A friendly reminder for everybody: you cannot choose the same holiday twice for you last challenge. E.g. I cannot have an Easter Sunday in both, March and April of different years, only one. The same applies for holidays that celebrate the same thing in different countries, e.g. april's fool (April 1st) and holy innocents (December 28th).
