Aranea Highwind
Today Sony EU, released a new trailer about the Play & Chat features. But on the video at 0:10 you can see a notification that someone has logged in. Check out the video below. PlanetSurvival
I don't know why they didn't implement that feature in the first place when the PS4 launched, but hey, better later than never.
Aranea Highwind
I noticed that the notifications are on the right side of the screen now. Maybe they changed that too? Edited December 11, 2014 by Paige
platypus200
This wasn't avaliable on the ps4 before? I'm surprised.
Parker
I wonder if there will be settings for this, something like only notifying you if you have shared your real name with that person. With the 2K friend limit, I could see that being very annoying if you have a fairly large friends list. Still, it is good to see a requested feature roll out. soniq
Wouldn't call this a leak, more like an easter egg. They knew exactly people would pick up on it. Anyway, good to know that feature is coming.
snakebit10
That would be nice addition. I hate having to keep checking my friends list to see who is online.
LouTheDroog
Nice i guess. I find this kind of stuff annoying. Hopefully we'll be able to customize to our liking in settings the same as it is on Vita

Sephaizen
I know its been said, but the fact that this wasn't already on the PS4 astounds me.
Xxleonardo97xX
(I'm talking about the actual video) Better late than ever applies to the addition of in-game chat. The Xbox had the chat in-game feature whereas the PS3 didn't. Thankfully they put it on the PS4, 1 year after release. damon8r351
Maybe technology will advance itself to the point that the PS4 will finally catch up to the capabilities of the PS3. One day.
Azaan60
Isn't that the icon for when a second user logs in to the PS4?

A7-Homaz
We need to get a "Stared Friends" Feature, which allows us to get only notifications for friends we allow it to... Some kind of "Favorite Friends" or something...

I wish this feature wasn't implemented at all or i hope you can change settings. Imagine you have a over 1000 friends, imagine the annoying pop ups you will constantly get! MatCauthon
Good. Then I can disable the friend joined a chat notifications which are completely annoying. But it's currently the only way to know that a friend possibly signed on.
