Post Your Newest PlayStation Vita Game

While I did get some new games, the biggest addition is the purchase of my second Vita! It's a gorgeous white with the light blue backing. Secondhand from Japan, but it looks like new with the original box & manuals. I'm just waiting on a screen protector & case to come in.

& while I was importing, & with all the Vita store turmoil, I decided to start hunting more Japanese games for the collection. So I bought:
Durarara!! Relay Limited Edition: I've watched a little bit of the amine. I think this is more of a VN game.
Digimon World: Next Order: I have an NA copy for the PS4, & I suspect I'll like monster raising enough to want to stack these.
Phantasy Star Nova: I love this series. I used to play Phantasy Star games on the PS2 & PSP. I know they're not localized anymore, so I've been looking for a decently priced copy for a while.
Time Travellers: something heavily story based by Level-5.
Kaleido Eve: an otome. I don't need to explain myself.

I can probably manage Digimon & Phantasy Star fine right now. The others I'll need to see if translations are available online, or get better at Japanese.

That aqua blue Vita is gorgeous. I'm tempted to purchase a third in aqua, or a red OLED model.

It has been quite a long time since I bought anything Vita. The after market prices on physical games has been quite cruel, but there is no way I can resist such lewd offerings to quench my cultured thrist ? Up first is Senran Kagura: Bon Appétit. Okay, big missed opportunity to call it Bon Appétitty  Unlike most games in the Senran Kagura series, this one is a rhythm game. The narrative might be the most silly story yet in the franchise. It too brings a whole new meaning to the term “food porn.” ? This is the fifth and last Senran Kagura game I need to complete on the PlayStation ecosystem. Next is Criminal Girls: Invite Only. I really don’t know much about it… yet. However, I find it hard to say no to inflicting some “divine punishment” upon some very naughty girls ? I believe it’s a dungeon crawler of sorts, which is a genre I’ve always considered my cup of tea. But for today, we’ll say it’s a genre that is certainly my cup of ass  For these two games are sure to bring on the T&A! I have more lewd platinums planned ahead once these two are finished. It will be nice to see them all completed on my game list ?

Haha same here. I'm thinking of just buying the few cheap games that are out there legitimately (for example digital Persona 4), and get a second Vita + a second account for hacking to play all those 60$+ games. I know people don't really get their accounts banned for vita hacking, but I'm not gonna risk it.

How much did you pay for Bon Appetit? The only copy I could find on eBay was a sealed one for like 450 bucks lmao

The post office must be tired of seeing these small, Vita shaped packages.

Horizon Chase Turbo: & two new stickers (I know, less important). I missed out on snagging that Aqua Kitty game, but I've got the two latest on order. HCT is only the second racing game I have for the system.
Pets: or knock off Nintendo Dogs.
Toukiden Kiwami: handheld monster hunter. I should really start one of these soon. I have two now.
Dragon's Crown: own a digital copy from Plus, wanted a physical copy for the collection.
Steins;Gate: same reasoning as above, minus getting it from Plus. The real challenge will be locating a reasonably priced NA copy of Zero.

I recently got GodSeekers on Vita, only a physical release in Japan.

 

Brand new is about 6500 yen but got it for 500 yen second hand from BookOff.

Persona 4 Golden and Uncharted: Golden Abyss

 

I was surprised at how high of a price Persona fetches nowadays, but I thankfully got a good deal on it. Super excited to play it!

 

Uncharted is nice too, but it will take a long time till I get to it.

More physical Vita games. I'll have to stop & take a count soon, it's getting close to 100.

Rainbow Skies: The successor to Rainbow Moon (which I hope to track down a physical copy).
Revenant Saga: I think with this, & Dogma, my Revenant saga is complete.
Va-11 Hall-a: I am so excited to add this to my collection. "Cyberpunk bartender action" sounds exactly like my jam. & for $45 at a retro game shop, for a sealed copy,  I think it was a steal. Guess I walked in at the right time & place.
Norn9 Var Commons: a VN that, for whatever reason, is expensive. Snagged a reasonably priced copy on EBay though.

I haven't bought any Vita games for a while, so I decided to fix that. These games were the only ones I was missing. Why I never bought them earlier is beyond me. I couldn't find the PAL version of Re;Birth 1 anywhere since that one seems to be extremely rare and hard to find, so I had to buy it digitally. At least I now own all the Neptunia games on Vita.

 

 

Also, I bought these from eBay. Gotta love when it gives recommendations like this. Besides, being a huge GuP fan, how couldn't I resist? Now my Vita has a much better carrier case, contrary to the one I own. It may be an official product, but it's not that good. It honestly looks terrible. With these in my collection, I can finally throw the previous one away.

Rainbow Moon got a release through LimitedRunGames & through EastAsiaSoft so you should be able to find a copy for a reasonable price without too much trouble.

Are they good games... for someone that's never played any from the series? I've seen a set of all three selling for about £70. Two sealed.

 

Think Scourge Bringer looks pretty interesting. Need to finish the first Soul Sacrifice, but I was happy that Delta popped up again for sale. I thought it was sold out. I can only find Chinese editions floating around here. And I don't know why but I have a sudden interest in the Vita launched titles. Was a bit expensive, though.

I haven't played all of them, but I can say that many of the games are enjoyable, though there are a few hit and misses. Just expressing my opinion.

From PlayAsia, the two latest (& hopefully not last) Vita games. I've got other PA orders waiting to ship or sitting in customs that may be here this month. That sticker is my exact reaction when a package finally arrives.
Pushy & Pully in Blockland: this gives me Bombing Island vibes, a game I used to play on PS1.
Scourge Bringer: not my usual cup of tea, but the soundtrack is supposedly worth a play.

Other pickups:
The Walking Dead Season 1-2: I traded in my copy of S1 years ago. Stupid, I know. So that's to replace my old copy, & S2 I strangely never picked up. I've played it on PS4 though.
Chronus Arc: Limited Run RPG that looks to be relatively short.
Spongebob Heropants: don't judge, not every game has to be serious.

I got Spongebob Heropants a week ago too after a long long search I finally got it from private game collector for $50. This game is somewhat rare.

^^^^ They tweeted that they'll be a Vita announcement this month.

 

Got an interesting one today. Picked these up for £25. They were damaged in the recent floods, but I figured it was worth the risk since some of them are pretty expensive... especially Muramasa and YS VIII as they're all US versions. The damage to the boxes is pretty bad... but I'm trying to save Muramasa and Persona 4. I'll post pics if they dry out okay. The other three are ruined. The paper has sealed to the plastic.

 

The carts are all working, but there's a little rust on Muramasa so not sure what to do about that.

 

 

Could be better ?

Spongebob is crazy expensive for the type of game it is. Makes no sense. All the ones I was looking at online were $50. My local retro game store had it for $30. So you better believe I snatched that immediately. He had a new copy of Rainbow Moon for $50 that I didn't go for then. I'm regretting that now as I just went there over the weekend & someone bought it. 

 

You might get lucky with Tales from an auction in eBay or something. It's another pricey, but kind of justified one. Fortunately, I picked up my copy back when Gamestop carried Vita games. Keep looking, you'll be lucky eventually!

 

@InfinityOnH1gh you can buy replacement cases with reprints of the covers online. They're not expensive. I've done that for some pre-owned ones for my collection. Since I don't intend to sell anymore it's not a big deal they're not the original, though there's also original empty cases for sale out there.
