Not sure what to make of this news, I love street fighter so this is a good thing, but im slightly confused as to why this is happening and the tekken x street fighter game still hasnt come out despite being very far into development. This made me want to play street fighter more.

Looks pretty cool to me, Akuma is the best choice they could've made in terms of picking a SF character. Ryu or Ken would've been so boring.

I'm starting to get excited for Tekken 7 again. The trailer showed a lot of new outfits (might be customized) and new poses. I hope they changed a lot compared to vanilla T7.

But come on Namco, relase the game already. It's been a while....

That's awesome news but why does the title sound like a poorly named porno?

"This was her fated retribution"  :awesome:

Does this also means that Akuma is canon in the T universe?

Can't wait to beat Aexzia, lol.

Akuma, high as fuck, in a tekken game and shit.

I thought that too but I guess Kasumi and Akuma are related as they are part demons.

I haven't actually played SFxTekken but isn't Akuma super OP for a Tekken game? I mean, I imagine they'll nerf him somehow but I could still see him being a monster against a lot of the Tekken cast. Still super psyched that he'll be in it though. I might finally win a few games now!

Ahhh i do mis the Xbox users banter

I think generally on hear people are more intersted in trophies for the most part so theres not so much banter when it comes to games coming out in the future.

On my forum me and my mate were saying how they seemed to make a really deliberate point of the sidestepping of Akuma's fireball in the trailer. I think they did that to show fireballs aren't overpowered and for the most part will be useless. I think they likely will be used as a combo ender.

Jinpachi is probably the most OP character there is and he's a Tekken original (and he could be played as in future installments of Tekken 5).  And I do remember people having problems getting past Unknown pre-patch in Tekken Tag Tournament (because the CPU's difficulty level was dependent on your rank).

Maybe Akuma is one of the characters they completed for Tekken X Street Fighter? Either way, the more characters in the game the better, just keep Akuma out of the story, especially when it's mostly back story this time round.

He looks so outta place...so lemme get this straight, instead of bringing back longtime fav characters they announce a SF character?...lol what's goin on with Harada?...plus they brought Akuma....there was so many better choices, would've liked to see a woman since SF is much better with its female characters rather than its male ones. But this ain't bad news at all...this means we can still have hopes for Tekken x SF to really happen...this right here is definitely a hint.

PS:Also would prefer they had kept the name just Tekken 7....instead of putting Fated Retribution.

It's not really a surprise, they've been doing this ever since Tekken 5. One year after a Tekken game comes out in the arcades they get an exclusive update. Tekken 5 got Dark Resurrection, Tekken 6 got Bloodline Rebellion and now Tekken 7 is getting Fated Retribution with a graphical upgrade to boot. It will be safe to assume the console game will still be called Tekken 7.

Oh yeah I remember that...but Dark Resurrection and Bloodline Rebellion were on PSP so I thought they were named like that for people to know those are the PSP versions, didn't know they were available on arcade too...although Dark Resurrection is on PS3 as well.

Anyway so you think the PS4 version will be called just Tekken 7?....I sure hope you're right.
