Are there any games with trophies for earning a trophy...

Essentially every Plat is rewarded upon completing the rest of a particular title's trophy list, but I was wondering if any games had trophies that pop because of the player obtaining another trophy (like, say, a trophy for obtaining half the trophies, etc...). 

 

On a related note - I don't think there are any plat trophies that require extra work to obtain outside of completing the trophy list?

There are a few 100% games that have a trophy like that. The trophy in Entwined called  Entwined unlocks after earning all other trophies.

Aside from there being a few non-plat games having a trophy for earning all the other trophies in the list, Kane & Lynch 2 had this trophy which was awarded for earning all the multiplayer trophies in the list:

I believe pure football has one for obtaining 40 trophies. But because of the server shutdown it is unobtainable

F.E.A.R 2 Project Origin had one called Five Star General for obtaining all of the multiplayer trophies

You could say Blacklight Retribution has one since it's "plat" requires you to unlock every other trophy including the free DLC.

Deadpool with his "The second one is also free". You don't do anything except moving Deadpool out of the couch and earning "The first's one free" for doing so thus enabling you to get the trophy shortly afterwards.

Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days gives you a trophy each for getting every other trophy in the set.

There are numerous games with trophies that solely rely on other trophies being popped, Ziggurat has one, for instance, to collect all lore, weapons, perks and character classes...all of which have their own trophies. effectively being a double dip at one point.   There are others with regards to collectible sets, a trophy per set then a trophy for all sets.  Pretty sure I've played something where I earned trophies for beating bosses and then extra trophies for beating particular groups of bosses too etc...

 

Whether there's a trophy that is 'explicitly' popped with a stated requirement of another trophy...not sure, nor about the Plat requirement, always thought the mechanics of a Plat popping was solely based on fulfilling all other trophies, hence it'd be an instant double pop, but I do have a vague recollection of needing to sit through credits for something before the Plat popped, although it could easily have been for a last trophy and the instant Plat.   It is possible there's something out there though, there's plenty of oddball requirements and things like the above mentioned Deadpool freebies.

Yeah, there are a few games that goes "Yo dawg, I heard you liked trophies so I gave you a trophy for earning a trophy so you can earn a trophy while earning a trophy."

It's essentially every platinum trophy as well

You could say that the 100% complete trophy in OlliOlli2 is one of those trophies as it pops alongside the platinum for getting the rest of the trophies in the game. The exception is if you complete the game before doing the 7 daily grinds.
