Update #5:

  1. 1f532.png Abyss Odyssey (PS3)0% - [0/14]
  2. 1f532.png ABZU (PS4): 0% - [0/12]
  3. 1f532.png Assassin's Creed: Freedom Cry (PS4)0% - [0/12]
  4. 1f532.png Costume Quest 2 (PS3): 0% - [0/18]
  5. 1f532.png F1 2017 (PS4)85% => 94% - [47/51]
  6. 2611.png Game of Thrones (PS4)100% - [49/49]
  7. 2611.png God of War: Ascension (PS3)24% => 100% - [36/36]
  8. 1f532.png Marvel Ultimate Alliance (PS4)22% - [16/59]
  9. 2611.png Stories: The Path of Destinies (PS4): 100% - [38/38]
  10. 1f532.png Tokyo Jungle (PS3)0% - [0/13]
  11. 2611.png Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark (PS4)100% - [51/51]

Got 100% in GoW:A and I really liked the game. I didn't think I would be able to finish it because I've been neglecting my shows and my DVR filled up so I had to binge watch them on the weekend. As far as the trophies go there isn't much of replay value in the game. I mean if you start on hard you can pretty much do everything in the game mostly naturally. Most likely I'll play some of the other GoW games next year (since I have them all).

Goal for next week: Play MUA (not sure how far I'll get).

Okay, just 4 more levels to not die in. Was trying to do another one today, but I died right at the end after many attempts to get there. I'll try again tomorrow, and I think I'll start FF Type-0 today.

Another week, another update... Here we go:

  1. Kingdom Hearts Final Mix (PS3) 0% [0/56]
  2. Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories (PS3) 3% [2/48]
  3. Final Fantasy XIII-2 (PS3) 8% [5/32]
  4. LEGO The Lord of the Rings (PS3) 16% [11/49]
  5. Diablo III (PS3) 30% [17/46]
  6. Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando (PS3) 66% → 67% [29/35]
  7. Final Fantasy X HD (PS3/Vita) 9% [5/34]
  8. MeiQ: Labyrinth of Death (Vita) 4% [3/37]
  9. LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens (PS3) 0% [0/70 including DLC]
  10. Day of the Tentacle Remastered (Vita) 0% [0/58]
  11. Color Guardians (Vita) 0% → 25% [17/46]
  12. Type:Rider (Vita) 100% [all 12 trophies]
  13. Severed (Vita) 0% [0/25]
  14. LEGO Batman 2 (Vita) 100% → [all 32 trophies] :platinum:

Not much movement here, as the motivation is down these days. Started Color Guardians - nice little side scroller (a bit arcade like) and the trophies are ranging from fairly easy to simple condition, but hard to reach. I hope to get this done fast so that Severed can follow. On Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando I'm right now into that collection stuff (Platinum bolts and Skill points) - found over the half of the bolts and have over 2/3 of the Skill Points, but this weapon upgrading thing keeps me busy and on the game. So, there's at least one plat incoming this month!

Finished Unravel. Had the hardest time with Off the Rails level. If it wasn't the pistons giving me trouble, then it would be the rocks. If it wasn't the rocks, then it would be the swinging part at the end. I thought I would have more trouble with the crows level, The Letter, but managed to get it on the second go. Really happy that it was at the beginning. Also, I had a bit of trouble with the How Much Is Enough level. Really happy that I got that on the 3rd try. It's a really simple, great platformer with amazing atmosphere and music.

Next, I was thinking of doing FF Type-0.

The Monomi trophy was awful! Would've been nice if we only had to finish all the levels, instead of collecting all the equipment.

Makes me wonder what you guys are going to think of V3's trophy set.  V3 is an even worse grind than 2 was.  It's plat may actually end up staying ultra rare because of this.

Can confirm super grindy and long, gotta play ultimate talent devlopment plan 53 times, beat boss on floor 100 of despair dungeon and so on.

Trying to make a guide but most I can do is detail characters likes, how systems work and some tips.

Maybe the grind is truly despair.

Really? Geez, I was hoping it would be on par or even less than Danganronpa 2. Totally not looking forward to it. Also, I hope to find a physical copy when I'm ready to buy it. I want the Vita version, but already Satoshi is finding it difficult to find a copy in Europe.

Yeah, on top of what Pixelated Portal already mentioned, there's replaying chapter 1 free time a lot for the gallery trophy, though chapter select makes this not as bad.  Then the grind for all the presents since a bunch are earned with casino coins and one is 100,000 coins (S ranking the games on Mean is also difficult).  You'll likely have to replay the trials from chapters 1-5 for the alternate routes unless you stick to a guide on your first try and that ruins the fun of some of the trials (though the monocoins earned from replaying will help for the gallery trophy).  Then there's also how many times you are likely to need to play the True Love Across the Universe bonus mode for the true ending, but at least that's not like school and island mode where you have to accomplish some other objective when you have to replay it.

Also love keys are expensive and you require a minimun of 15 if you are lucky and dont get repeated scenes.

Pretty lengthy, also some tough bosses on despair dungeon.

Oh man, I was so hoping that wasn't going to be needed for the gallery trophy.  But yeah, outside of S ranking on Mean for the casino games, none of the trophies are seeming to be hard, just time consuming to earn.  Can you at least save and reload maybe for the scenes with the love keys?

Dragon Quest Builders - 100%

Tokyo Xanadu - 7% > 12%

Uncharted Lost Legacy 100%

Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth - 35%

Ys VIII - 100%

After platting FFXV I cleared two chapters in Xanadu, enjoying it lots so far. Not in the mood for Utaware at the moment, came to a difficult battle and I don't want to turn the difficulty down or grind a few levels to face it just yet.

Danganronpa V3 trophy discussion is despair inducing. Monomi trophy was awful in the 2nd game, and now they've found something worse :(

Progress update

PS4
Gravity Rush 2 (7%)
Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash (0% -> 2%)
Stories: The Path of Destinies (82%)

Vita
Aegis of Earth: Protonovus Assault (14%)
Atelier Shallie Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea (0%)
Bastion (18%)
flower (14%)
Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 (45% -> 100%)
New Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony (0% -> 11%)
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (4%)

Finished Re;Birth1. Did a small writeup over in the trophy checklists forum if you want to take a look. Also made a few small updates in a few other games.

I crossed off Ys from this list as I read NISA's apology for the script and decided since I'm not too far into the game I'll wait until they do so and play it after that. Of course, as it's coming in late November I won't have the time to finish it for this challenge, so I'll just cross it off as a loss and play the other games on the list instead.

Another Update!

  1. God of War (Vita) - 14% (9/36)
  2. 101 Ways to Die - 18% (9/31) 90% (29/31)
  3. Batman: A Telltale Games Series - 0% (0/31)
  4. God of War II (Vita) - 0% (0/35)
  5. Life Is Strange - 4% (3/61) 100% (61/61)
  6. Arcade Game Series: Ms. Pac-Man 100% (21/21)
  7. Day of the Tentacle 100% - (58/58)

So, 101 Ways to Die is essentially finished. I just need to kill a couple more Splatts and I'll have the plat. However, I decided to hold of on finishing it for the Platinum Rain Day. I didn't think I'd be able to set up a trophy in that game for the PRD, but it so happened that I could... so it's done for my backlog for all intents and purposes!

1. Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana 0% 100% (51 out of 51 trophies)

2. htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary 19% 31% (9 of 25 trophies)

3. Time & Eternity 18% (7 of 30 trophies)

4. Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny 10% (7 of 30 trophies)

5. Ateilier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland 8% (6 of 38 trophies)

6. Kingdom Hearts 15% (11 of 56 trophies)

7. Kingdom Hearts II 2% 5% (4 of 51 trophies)

8. Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch 2% (2 of 34 trophies)

9. Final Fantasy XIII 4% (3 of 36 trophies)

10. Resonance of Fate 4% (3 of 49 trophies)

11. 英雄伝説 閃の軌跡III 0%  2% (2 out of 53 trophies)

12. Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony 0% 68% (28 out of 41 trophies)

Trophies earned from this event: 1 :platinum:  6 :gold:  16 :silver:  62 :bronze:  (85 total trophies out of 446 total unearned trophies starting off)

Made some more progress in Danganronpa V3.  I finished the Love Across the Universe bonus mode and am slowly chipping away at the talent development and monokuma's dungeon ones in between bouts of trying to S rank the minigames on mean.  Only need the 100,000 coin present to get all the presents now, but otherwise lots of grinding left to do.  Really don't get why they made this game even more grindy than DR2 was.  I'd so rather have another Usami minigame than the talent development plan game.

My copy of Sen no Kiseki III arrived this week as well, so I started that and got a couple of trophies.  Definitely hoping this game gets localized because it's really neat so far.  The graphics are gorgeous for a Falcom game and there's some very nice additions to the battle system and it's just so smooth and easy to play.  I'm enjoying it so far even if my limited Japanese reading skill means I barely get what is going on.

Also made some progress in KH2.  Just finished my first visit to Port Royal.  Only a couple more worlds left before I start having second visits to more worlds open up and can get more trophies in this one.  Also decided to play a bit more of htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary and got two more trophies when I finished chapter 2 since I lucked out and got the gold trophy for using only 3 boxes of explosives on the chapter 2 boss.

And for fun I decided to add in some totals on the amount of trophies I've earned from my list and calculate how many unearned trophies I started off with.  Started off with 446 unearned trophies from this list and am at 361 now.

Over the past few days I did a casual playthrough of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Definitely a good game worth playing, but not as great as Uncharted 4.

The two female leads just didn't click for me until later in the game when Chloe and Nadine get into a little argument. Even then I honestly felt the game doesn't put anything new to the table. We play a character whom we don't know what her real intentions are nor do we know much of her past history with her father. That really isn't a good way to present a story especially considering Naughty Dog gave as a backstory with Nathan and Sam Drake when they were growing up. I was hoping to see at least somewhat of a backstory but it never happened.

The villain is somewhat amusing at times, he was probably the only character I was really any impressed with. A certain someone felt shoehorned in for no real reason. I definitely enjoyed The Lost Legacy, for $39.99 it was a good price. I'm just glad it wasn't a fully priced game because I would of been very disappointed with it.

--

I've been busy with work and school so I haven't been getting trophies as quickly as I did a month or two ago.

--

But I have obtained the platinum for Velocity Ultra. Holy heck was this a good game. I did test out Velocity 2X on an alt account so that will be even better when I eventually play it on my main. Velocity Ultra is definitely worth the price tag, excellent indie gem from the developer Futurlab Games.

The game challenges you, but it never once pulls the rug on you nor does it ever feel unfair. It's a top down shooter that is fast paced set in space. There are 50 main levels called Zones where you have to rescue survivors, destroy enemy ships, and do quick maneuverability to navigate your way to success. Each of these levels have ratings. A perfect rating ensures you get a high enough score, reach the end of the level quickly, and rescue every single survivor. Certain levels labeled Critical Urgencys put your skills to the test, as you have to quickly boost your way through the obstacles, making good use of short teleport and rescuing all the given survivors. Many levels have switches that you must activate in the correct sequence to lower a forcefield, usually containing survivors and various powerups like weapon upgrades and health.

In addition to perfecting all 50 Zones, you must also collect all the Secret Zone Medals and Bonus Missions Medals. All the Bonus Mission Medals come with their own levels that you are required to beat. Most of them are simply quick levels where you must quickly rescue all the survivors and reach the end, only here you cannot touch any of the red or blue walls. In addition, there are minigames, one being an Asteroids/Lunar Landing game requiring precise flying abilities, a snake like game (popular on old mobile phones back in the day) where you collect ships (the snake grows longer with every ship you eat), and Coconuts, a minigame that is very fast paced where you have to navigate past the coconuts blocking your way.

There is also Minesweeper. Those who grew up on a Windows PC have probably played Minesweeper at some point. At first I was completely stumped until I looked up a Youtube video. The game is very easy to understand and it's not that difficult. You essentially have to know where all the bombs are at based on the 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s numbers you uncovered. If there is a 1 then there is one bomb adjacent to it. If you have uncovered a 4, then there are four bombs adjacent to it, and so on. Once you know where the bombs are, you can easily uncover more spaces on the grid, especially if they are 1s.

I really enjoyed this game. It's fast paced that is challenging but is not extremely difficult as long as you know what to do. Highly recommended.

Update 3:

1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered (51/51 trophies) :platinum:

2. Crash Bandicoot (23/23 trophies base game) (2/2 trophies DLC) :platinum:

3. Assassins Creed Syndicate (4/50 trophies base game) (0/7 trophies DLC)

4. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (11/50 trophies)

5. Velocity Ultra (31/31 trophies) :platinum:

I wasn't feeling MUA till pretty much the weekend so I just knocked out ABZU. I swear I remember seeing "You must be this high to play this game" warning when I loaded it up first.

Then I eventually warmed up to it and it was quite enjoyable. With MUA I'm just going through the story (on Act 4 of 5 atm), but it's going rather slowly. I'm not gonna post any goals for the near future because next weekend I'm going to the US F1 race and after that my brother and his wife will visit for a week so that won't leave me much time for gaming. I'll really have to buckle down come next month.:comp:
