Gold and Bronze trophies look the same colour to me.

I cant tell the difference between gold and bronze trophies on ps4 and ps3 consoles. They look virtually the same colour to me. I have to click into each one individually to see the word "gold" or "bronze".

I haven't heard anyone else mention this so I'm guessing I'm colour blind. I'm getting a bit sick of it though and wish there was some way of making it clearer.

Perhaps Sony could add a setting to help colour blind people.

Any suggestions are welcome.

You can change the order by Grade which sorts it by the trophy type on here at least

go see a ophthalmologist. no, seriously, you could have some disease and not know.

explain to the specialist your problem by showing him the example you just described.

Thanks for the suggestion but I prefer to sort by rarity. Also when you sort by grade it puts all the hidden trophies at the bottom of the list which is useless because theyre usually a mix of gold silver and bronze.

Like I said, all suggestions are welcome ?

He didn't specify whether what he was looking at, the PS3, the PS4, this website?

Is your monitor calibrated?

I'm referring to the ps3 and ps4 consoles, in the trophy lists.

My tv is displaying colours fine as far as I can tell. Like I said, Ive probably some form of colour blindness. It would be useful for sony to add a setting for colour blind people.

If you want to sort by rarity, you won't be able to tell unfortunately, as there are bronze that are rarer than golds.

What if you tried turning of lights in your room to reduce reflections on your TV. If this doesn't seem to help you might just be a little colour blind.

But i see your point, it would be nice to know what you got.

In the end a trophy is a trophy, no matter which color it has.

Yes I know that. But my point is that I want to be able to sort whatever way I like, and still be able to distinguish between gold and bronze colours. I want sony to provide a setting to help colour blind people. A setting that changes the properties of the gold and bronze trophies that makes them more distinguishable.

I'm pretty sure I am a little colour blind. Sony could add a setting to help colour blind people, a setting which makes gold and bronze trophies more distinguishable.

Gold trophies are my favourite ?

Your best bet is to contact them then, they probably don't look on here for ideas. With sony's track history though, it seems unlikely though

I agree its very unlikely any time soon. I guess there aren't many people having the same problem. There is a setting on ps4 to invert all colours but that actually makes it even harder to tell the difference between gold and bronze!

I can tell the difference, but I do feel that they're too similar in color. Bronze trophies should be a little darker. While on the subject, I've always felt the same way about this site concerning the platinum shade for games in which we've earned the platinum trophy. Someone created a Stylish theme that makes it darker though, so at least there's that.

If you can see the difference between these two :gold: :bronze:, then it probably is your TV/monitor that needs calibrating. Even for me on the PS3 sometimes a trophy that I know is gold almost looks bronze in the notification, but the difference is clear once I check on the list.

Ive had this problem since 2009 and on a few different tvs.

If I look closely at the two trophies right beside each other like that, I can tell which is gold (left one), but thats not how theyre displayed on the ps4 or ps3. Also if you show me just one trophy on its own, then I dont know if its gold or bronze. When I scroll through the trophies for a game, the silver ones stand out, but the rest could be all gold or all bronze, I just can tell most of the time. I could tell if I went up really close to the tv screen but that would be a bit inconvenient.

Yes that would help I think.

I know that their PSN app for displaying trophies is terrible and hard to tell the colors apart, and I'm not colorblind at all, perfect scores on vision testing.

The ps app is just as bad for me to tell the difference between gold and bronze trophies. The app is poor in several other ways too but thats a discussion for another time!

Thought I was the only one.

I can't separate bronze and gold trophies on PS4 either, but I can see it on this site, although just barely.

My color vision isn't too great anyway. I often see different colors than other people.

"So yeah, I can't see the difference between a gold and bronze trophy on PSN".

Imagine how that'd go. lol

Hey my colour blind friend, thanks for posting. Nice to know I'm not the only one with this issue.

There's tens of us out there. /s

No seriously, over the years I've just learned to deal with it. Sometimes it's easier to tell than others. I'm much more concerned with colorblind filters with games than I am with trophies on the site.

I've got maybe the best vision in the world and still don't really appreciate if its gold or bronze... Really sometimes, like yesterday i did the trophy from Shadow of the colossus to beat one of them without breaking his wristlet, and when i got it i thought it was a bronze, but when i looked to my trophies the percent grew up quickly because it was gold...

But i told you, i never had and never have nowaday any problem on my vision, rather ive got an excellent one

"I can't differentiate color variations on tiny images"

yeah, I can imagine the ophthalmologist doing the necessary tests to make a diagnosis.

Seriously, I've always had the same problem. Often I have to check url or some name or something.

I know for a fact I'm partially colorblind though, just can't see the difference between two colors all that well when when one is in excessive amounts around the other. I'll check if it's the same color as in gold and bronze. :)

You may be red green colorblind btw. :) I am partially that too. Just means you have a hard time telling the colors apart, not that you can't see the colors or whatever.

I'm fine with red and green. For me its brown/green, or brown/red, or blue/purple, or purple/pink and of course gold/bronze. It all depends on the shades. If the shades are similar then I find it hard to tell them apart. So if the bronze trophy was a darker shade then I wouldn't have a problem telling it apart from the gold trophy.
