Not played the game [ it being in First Person ] but, you have to understand the history of Japan to understand as to why they censored that line.  A lot of the games on the list on the first page of this forum thread, shows that a lot of the toning down or removal of certain scenes is down to cultural difference [ say for example, South East Asia and The Middle East] and the countries own historical issues.

So NISA put out a poll recently where people could vote for what they wanted the reversible cover of Disgaea 7's western release to be. Out of the 4 options given, 3 of them had mysterious beams of light covering up the cleavage of the female characters (ironically making it seem more lewd than they actually are).

 

 

Now they promised that the artwork was only "slightly modified for marketing purposes" and that "the artwork used in the final product will be the original, unedited version". Option 2 ended up winning, so I guess we'll see if they actually keep their promise regarding that. Option 4 is just a cleaner version of the standard box art which has been censored though.

Yeah, I've seen that clip before. NISA are amongst the worst when it comes to localizations which is saying something. Just blatant disregard for the source material. They were censoring their games well before Sony's censorship policy came into effect. I still haven't forgotten what they did to Criminal Girls.

This news won't make you feel any better. Deep Rock Galactic has just been censored, because the Red Cross had a hissy fit over the use of the Red Cross in the game so now the Medbay icon has been changed to a green cross and the Medbay's interior lights have been changed to green as well.

 

Here are the patch notes and a link to the Steam forum thread for them, though you will have to pick through a lot of crap to find the relevant info:

Yeah, there's a free dlc that partially uncensors it, and a paid dlc that fully uncensors it, from looking at the steam listing for it

The free DLC fully uncensors it, the paid for DLC is just extra art assets of nudity that aren't in the game.  Apparently I own it already

That's not censorship, it's a copyright issue. No one except the red cross claimed for it to be changed.

I played Kuro no Kiseki, and beeing the japanese version of the game rated there for "Teen" or 12/16 years old. Since the battle sistem changes to a more fast paced, when you run with the female characters you can actually get panty shots very easily... I don't know if when this game will be localized they will blackvoid this. And there is another charachter that well... She is sexy in all more ways than one! And in this game she is EXTREMLY revealing with her dress. Clearly can see panties and the boob jigle is very present. Soooo i will guess that it will get censored in some ways when localized. Maybe... I really hope not!

Yeah, I've seen quite a few screenshots of the newer Kiseki games that haven't been localized yet and I'm kind of surprised what they were able to get away with on PlayStation platforms. Panty shots, jiggle physics, etc. And I think I know the character you're referring to. ?

 

 

But yeah, with NISA handling the localizations for this series now, I'm sure there are going to be some changes unfortunately. Hopefully nothing too extreme.
