In this case, I'm happy that IFI will get my money because I'm a big fan of the games they publish, and I understand that the alternative for them is losing tons of money recalling all the game copies, and they are a small company. But I agree with you that companies that censor games to satisfy twitter's weirdos shouldn't see a cent, for example I will never buy a Final Fantasy or Atelier game. ? For me it's also important when judging censorship that there is an alternative, in this case it's not upgrading the game. I would be fine if game companies created 2 versions of the game instead of censoring it, one for the fans and one to keep the normies at bay. They want to see their releases enjoyed in the west but it's hard when they have to resubmit them after not getting approved. Funny enough this is an actual thing. In fact I remember GameStop and Electronic Boutique both have used stickers to cover products with an update in past for ESRB standards or used photocopied printed covers to slip over the original..
