Popular Post Yuber6969
Thanks guys! @TehUberCheezCatz I see that you've platted P4AU and BBCF. You're no stranger to combo challenges so I think you can get this done. It will take time to adjust to the speed required in Skullgirls, but if you take a lot of breaks, you should be fine. I found this guide helpful. @Destructor-8 I definitely had a rough time with it, as I'm sure you noticed lol. I'm gonna start tackling some non-Arcsys fighters soon, but as far as Arcsys fighters go, the next notable thing I'll probably be doing is the DLC combo challenges for Persona 4: Arena Ultimax. I didn't care about DLC going into this challenge, but after Skullgirls I can probably just walk over that DLC.

Popular Post Yuber6969
Large Combo Cleared all Intermediate-level combo challenges in Mission Mode for 5 characters. I recently started Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r]. Trophy-wise, the combo requirement for this game is to clear all Intermediate-level combo challenges for 5 characters. This is disappointingly easy, but I will say that the combos seem to be useful for actual combat. It's a shame that there is no trophy for doing Veteran-level challenges. I took a peek at one and it was legitimately hard.

The gameplay is fun, but from the looks of the trophy guide, there won't be much of a challenge.
Popular Post Yuber6969
SpeedrunnerCleared Time Attack Mode in under 12 minutes with 3 different characters. I cleared this with Orie (my main), Hyde, and Akatsuki. There was no challenge at all. I got through every match just spamming autocombos. I had the difficulty set to the hardest difficulty, but I'm guessing that Time Attack Mode has preset settings.
Popular Post Yuber6969
Countless Dead Bodies...Fought over 50 matches in Survival Mode. (Losses included.) The 50 matches do not have to be consecutive, and you don't even have to win. Technically, you could get this trophy by losing the first match 50 times. I got this trophy after 5 runs of Survival Mode, averaging 10 wins per run. I could have probably done better, but I was aiming for several miscellaneous trophies while doing this mode. Reigning ChampionWon 5 consecutive matches in Versus Mode. The hardest trophy I've done so far, comparatively speaking. I played on the hardest difficulty and still got through it with minimal effort. On the hardest difficulty, the AI will use very long combos on you if given the opportunity; however, the AI isn't that smart nor aggressive, so it's easy to avoid this. OverachieverAchieved a total score of 1,000,000,000 or more in Score Attack Mode. Like with the trophy for Survival Mode, the is a cumulative trophy. I got it after my fourth run of Score Attack Mode, and for the most part, I was just spamming autocombos and half paying attention. I'm disappointed in the game's difficulty so far. The only remaining trophy that might give me a challenge is Veteran of War, which requires you to clear Arcade Mode on the hardest difficulty, with at least 3 rounds per match, and no continues. On a positive note, the game's story is good. There is way too much narration for my tastes, but I'm definitely enjoying it overall. I'm about halfway through Chronicle Mode, which is the prologue to Arcade Mode's story. So far, I would say that this is the best ArcSys story I've seen since BlazBlue (I still have very high hopes for Guilty Gear though).
Yuber6969
Veteran of WarCleared Arcade Mode with a Difficulty Setting of "5", Rounds at "3" or more, and without continuing, with any character. I tried this with Orie and ended up having to use a continue. I tried it again with Hyde and got through it pretty easily. Like with Reigning Champion, the AI on the hardest difficulty uses very long combos but isn't very smart. I almost had to use a continue on Stage 9 due to some careless mistakes, but it was a pretty easy run overall. For the most part, I would close the distance with 236B -> 236B, then spam autocombos. The only trophies that I have left are the ones tied to buying things from the gallery. The plat is in the bag. I'm also planning to go through Arcade Mode with every character to see the full story, even though it's not required for any trophies. Hopefully I'll find a new main in the process, since I plan to play this game online for fun.
Popular Post Yuber6969
Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r] Rarity: 21.08% Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 I got the platinum a couple of days ago, but I wanted to wait until I finished all of the story before I wrote my review. The lack of challenge in this game was disappointing. The hardest trophy in the game tasks you with completing the intermediate-level combo challenges for 5 characters. They are easy enough that a beginner could do them with enough practice, and would be even easier if it wasn't for the game's strict timing for chaining attacks together. There are some very difficult combo challenges in the game, but they aren't required for any trophies. Aside from the combo challenges, the AI is not that difficult even on the hardest difficulty. In terms of gameplay, the game is good. There are too many characters that feel the same IMO, but of the 20 characters, there are enough different types that anyone's preferred type should be there. There are autocombos, but you have to be very close to your opponent to use them, so it doesn't break the game if you're playing competitively (but it totally does in single player). One gripe I have with the gameplay is the strict timing for (non-auto) combos. If you input the next attack during the previous attack's animation, the combo will drop. This won't matter unless you play against an actual person though, since you can get through the entire single-player game by spamming autocombos. Speaking of playing with people, the netcode is solid. I played some matches with @Copanele and we never had any lag even though we're pretty far away from each other. Initially I was maining with Orie. Her playstyle reminded me of my favourite fighting game character to play as: Margaret from Persona 4: Arena Ultimax. I liked Orie and Margaret because they can attack from any range, and have attacks that quickly close the gap if necessary. Both characters' weakness is that they can't take a lot of damage, but this was far less of an issue for Margaret because she does so much damage and because she can do combos from a distance. When doing Arcade Mode runs with every character to see the full story, I felt that I was pretty good with Phonon - a shoto character with decent range. I plan to keep playing this game with Copanele (and anyone else who is interested), and I'm thinking I'll main with her from now on. I had some issues with the story, but thought it was a good story overall. If you are the type of person who doesn't skip story, the vast majority of your playtime will be spent in Chronicle Mode. It's a prequel to the Arcade Mode's story and is purely a visual novel. The short playtime you see in the trophy guides must be based on skipping all of the text, because I read/watched it all and I can say that it's very long. The narration is extremely excessive and caused me to fall asleep many times. Eventually, I decided to skip all narration and just hope that I didn't miss anything important. Once I made that choice, I started to enjoy the story. The plot is slightly convoluted, but is captivating nonetheless. The characters are interesting, there is humor, the villain is really hot, and there are emotional moments. The story in Arcade Mode wasn't nearly as good, as most the dialogue was the typical "I'll kick your ass" type of back and forth seen in many fighting games. Oh, and Byakuya's story in Chronicle Mode was disturbing. That's his sister Even though I had a few complaints about this game, the pros far outweighed the cons. I really hope there will be a sequel.

Popular Post Yuber6969
I decided to burn my dread and go for the 2 unearned trophies that I need to 100% complete Persona 4: Arena Ultimax. I just got the trophy for clearing all of a particular character's combo challenges. This character's mere existence in the game spoils something major in the main Persona 4 game, so I'll discuss the rest in the spoiler tag below. Please don't use the character's name when commenting, as there is at least one person following this thread that is planning to play Persona 4 Golden. Spoiler Adachi's LetterYou satiated your Hunger for Adachi's challenges. This was very hard for me and there is no way I would have been able to do this at the time that I platinumed this game. Skullgirls has definitely increased my skill in the genre (though I still have a long way to go). Adachi has 25 challenges, and I got through most of them without too much trouble. Challenge 24 was the exception to this. It's one of the most ridiculous combos I've seen so far; it's even harder than the infamous Tager 19. Here is a video of the challenge (it's not my video). The hardest part of the combo is connecting the Standing B after the Magatsu Mandala. Magatsu Mandala launches Yu into the air and off screen for a few seconds. You have time the Standing B very precisely in order for it to hit Yu when he falls back into sight. Worse yet, Standing B hits three times, but you have to hit him with the first hit in order to connect the rest of the combo, meaning that you can't mash. It's as hard as it sounds, even with pause cheese. Another hard part is the Heat Riser that follows the Pain in the Ass. You have to input it very quickly in order for it to connect. The part after the Heat Riser is even worse. Heat Riser also launches Yu into the air (thankfully not for nearly as long as Magatsu does), and you have time the Standing C just right in order to continue the combo. I spent a very long time with this combo. If P4AU didn't allow pause cheese, this would have been miles harder than anything Skullgirls had to offer. Thanks @Copanele for guiding me through this combo! The other trophy I need is the one for completing all of Marie's combo challenges. Just like with the above character, I got through all of them with little trouble except for Challenge 24. Once I complete Marie's Challenge 24, I'll have 100% completed P4AU. I'm glad it's over. Not fond of Marie's 24 either cause of that AOA rush. I never would have guessed that you don't really play fighters. That makes your P4A plat even more impressive. Thanks and haha yeah that p4a one I tried to go for it when I first started dropped it cos it was insane and came back a year or so later and just grinded, grinded, grinded and grinded the challenges and score attack honestly if that pause tactic in nyohiros videos never existed I probably still wouldn't have the plat yet since thanks to that I pretty much only had to do auto combos and block some other semi advance moves here and there but for the most part it was just trial and error for like 2 months till I got it ? and I'm alright at p4au I would say since this remaster is out I have been playing it very active as of recently and I got the plat for the remaster very fast it is annoying cos of deley based though so many bs losses can't wait for rollback in the summer hyped af!! Yuber6969
Old Bamboo CombI can't believe you beat all my challenges! I cleared all of Marie's combo challenges. Challenge 24 was the only one that was noteworthy. It begins with an All Out Attack and you must do the maximum amount of hits with it. It's pure button mashing, and my right tricep is really sore. Shortly after that, there's an input that requires really fast timing, but it didn't take me long to master it. It wasn't a difficult challenge skill-wise, but it took a lot of energy to have to keep repeating that All Out Attack. Persona 4: Arena Ultimax is now 100% done. I would rate the 100% difficulty 8/10 solely due to the spoiler character's Challenge 24.

Copanele
Eyyyy congratulations! That's why I insisted you to do it, cause those 2 characters are the real deal and I knew you would put in the work for them Honestly Marie is the one I had the most trouble with. The other one was difficult but Marie's Igor boxes...UGH Not many functional differences in the P4AU PS4 version so yeah....skipping it would be good.

I actually didn't struggle with Marie's Igor box for that long, but that other character's Challenge 24 was nastier than I thought it would be. Took me forever to get that timing down, and I'm not sure that I could do it again lol.
