So to sum up I recently platinized my 2/10 (Minit) and my 3/10 (Ravenous devils).

I also platinized Heavenly bodies and dragon's crown but I'm saving them for a second list.

 

On that note, I'm going back to dragon quest !

Quick update on my progress. Completed Mafia, which granted my 6/10 and the Carpe Diem badge.

Also completed Hakuoki: Stories of the Shinsengumi as my 1/10 for list 3, which also gets me the Love Bird badge. Let's hope I end up using this list ?

 

As for my first list, I'm currently playing Ys Origin, but 6 playthroughs, including nightmare difficulty, has proven to be a bit infuriating. And Arena Mode on nightmare will be the real test. Definitely think the difficulty for this one should be higher, just because of Arena mode. But let's see how it ends, at least I'm making good progress for the OCD badge.

The Sims 3 Pets (2.36%): The trophy list consists entirely of in-game challenges, so you can keep track of everything, which is good. But sometimes, some trophies won't unlock even if the challenge is completed, which is very bad. To give you guys an idea: besides the platinum, every single trophy is marked as 'buggy' in the trophy guide, is that bad. But there are some tips and strategies in the guide that you can and should use to prevent most of the headache. Personally, i only had 2 challenges not unlocking the trophies for me.

I am really distracted. I bought a PSVR2 and enjoy some games with my New gadget and i was doing some changes in my list because i just felt like playing those games. With this Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Yurukill needed to go for the first list. But I think i will start a second list soon. Trackmania is a slow progress but at least i finish all Valley tracks and have already 4 lagoon Gold medals. 16 more tracks to go. I am as well are a bit addicted to monster hunter rise so i think i will add the game for my second list at some point. 

 

Thumper:

One of the few games i could play on the VR and getting used to the glasses without get motion sickness within an hour. I cant really describe why i like the game but the Bug in the rail and some of the music is just fascinating. It is a rhytm game and you need some good reflexes to Do those levels with S Rank. But since you can start from any Checkpoint it is just an trial and error before you get it right. @Rebourne07 you can add this as number 7 in the resource list even if i used it as a 6

 

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2:

This game is nostalgic for me. I played a lot of Tony hawk in my past and loved the game. My reflexes are a bit rusty and i am by far no pro in the game but i was able to run through the game much faster then i thought. Some hard get theres were a pain and the longest i worked on School 2, after that the rest was done in minutes or highest 30 minutes. The most painful thing in the game is the grind to level 100. After finishing everything else i was at level 65. It took me multiple Sessions to grind to level 100. At level 90 it took me 40 minutes for each level and i looked through 3 whole seasons of Netflix series to get this done. Until the grind i really liked the game and it was enjoyable to achieve the rest, but be prepared for a boring trophy at the end.

An update to my progress as I completed Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Remastered  this afternoon.

A large slice of nostalgia for me here as Drake's Fortune on the PS3 was the second game I got the platinum trophy for. The later games in the series were better than the first but it still holds up as a great game in my opinion. 

I went straight in on Crushing difficulty and was surprised at how much I remembered. A couple of tough spots for me in the notorious 'Blue room' and the section before the final boss.

I resisted from using any of the glitches armed with the knowledge that I had completed it legit on my PS3.

Horizon Forbidden West completed as my 3/10. Improves over the first game in almost every way, highly recommend. I think it's a 4 (playing on Normal) but you can get the trophies on Easy and Story difficulty if you want. On Story mode you're basically immortal, I imagine it's more of a 2/10 if you do that.

Thoughts: It has been two years since completing my first playthrough, and going back on HARD difficulty was a huge confidence check. Nevertheless, I managed to platinum Final Fantasy VII Remake. Along with the HARD playthrough, I had to do some miscellaneous trophies like getting praised by Jessie, ranking first on the darts leaderboard, obtaining all weapons abilities and music discs, and completing all quests (you need a second set of quests for a specific chapter to do this, the PSNP guide is really helpful)! Dressed to the Nines was a bit annoying, but it was easy when consulting the guide.

 

After completing two full playthroughs, cutscenes and all, I would highly recommend this game! As someone who isn't an avid fan of FF, Final Fantasy VII Remake tempts me to become one.

 

 

Difficulty List Log - Five out of ten games done! The difficulty challenge has motivated me to come back to games that I have been putting off, and its great to see progress being made! Unsure what game I should do next. I have been dipping in and out of XCOM 2, but I am still far away from getting it completed. Also, I might save Dead Space (PS3) for later on in the year. Looks like it will be Mighty No. 9 or Life is Strange next! ?

As someone who has never played a Final Fantasy Game I was thinking about adding FF VII Remake to my 2nd list. You may have just convinced me to do that.

As a fan of RPG's I have no logical reason as to why I have never picked up a FF game.

 

This challenge has led me to play games I wouldn't have played otherwise so it may be the catalyst I need to get started on FF.

 

@Rebourne07 - From what i have read FF VII Remake is a good jumping in point (I know most of the stories are self-contained). Any thoughts?

Hi All,

just an update since i got my 10/10 today: The Evil Within. I started the game in the 2017 so this could be considered also for the badge "Finally!".

This was an amazing adventure, especially for the akumu difficulty that was really insane. For the ones who are interested to this platinum i post here the guide i followed for this difficulty (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eg1GQ0IxLuY&t=68s&ab_channel=Jigzaw_Killer). There's another guide with the addition of the trophy for no upgrades in the same run but i strongly not reccommend it if you want make it easier.

Just a comment on the trophy related to finish a run with "No Upgrades", you have to start a new game and not a new game+ (this could be obvious but it wasn't for me ) Now i believe i'll rest a bit completing a plague tale (which can be replaced by hogwarts legacy in case i like it more)

 

I have a general question: could i place a game rated for instance 3/10 in the place 2/10? so basically place a game rated more in a lower position. i'm thinking to put Hollow Knight at 9/10 even if it is rated 10/10 in PS Trophies, in this case this could be eligible also for the Masochist Badge, am i right?

Somewhere in the rules in the first post Rebourne does say you can't substitute higher difficulties for lower ones but if you can find a guide that rates them lower like the one below for Hollow Knight it should count and will get you the Masochist badge.

You cannot substitute a higher difficulty game for a lower rating. But many games have ranges of official ratings if you look around the internet so you may be able to find the game you want to do as a 2 somewhere. It just needs to have a link to a guide saying its a 2. For Hollow Knight for example, you can use it as a 9 because this link shows it as a 9. And yes that would net you the  Masochist badge. Imo the Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy X Remastered are tied for best entry points into the series so either of those would be great fits. Plus if you put a FF on your list you get the  Brownie Points badge

Quick update from me.

I have been participating in another challenge during February plus my 8/10 game (Asterix & Obelix XXL) was giving me some grief as completing it on Extreme mode was certainly no cake walk, I did manage it but took a break to work on other games before I start tackling the time trials and challenges I need to do for the Platinum before moving into my 9/10.

 

However as part of the other challenge I did Platinum a number of games (I have 17 Platinums so far in 2023) that can all be used across multiple other lists once I complete my first so I am basically working on around 5 different lists at the same time currently LOL.

I did grab the Platinum for Life is Strange: True Colors on both PS4 and PS5 during Feb so as to get me a couple of Love Bird badges at some point when I complete future lists.

 

I also bought a PSVR 2 on launch day so I can now add the PSVR badge to my wish list and being that all the games for it will have a release date in 2023 then I will most likely also be able to grab the Money Bags badge at some point in the year too.

 

That means the only badge I can’t currently target is the Guide Writer badge as I have never written a guide so that badge is currently unobtainable to me. Unless I can get the time and enough confidence to make a good enough guide to be accepted for one of the games i Platinum this year. Tho I wouldn’t even know where to start when it comes to guide writing ?
