Popular Post be_minor
Second update with a couple new additions on the board. I think Bugsnax and Pinball Heroes work in their respective spots, but I’m re-thinking Cult of the Lamb for red. I’ll probably switch it out when I complete a more suitable game.

Popular Post Duke_Ryle
Third game done. Gone Home for Deep Purple- I put this on my list of games to play last year and without this event it probably would have stayed there until I decided to get around to it (which could have been years away). This was certainly a unique experience for me as it's not the normal type of game I play. It is a divisive game and many people do not have a positive experience with it. This can be seen in the "Gone Home Discussion" forum topic. I won't rehash that here. It was an enjoyable experience for me. The atmosphere was great and I got a real sense of the characters and their motivations just by reading documents left behind during exploration. I also enjoyed some of the trophies. One was to find all the developer commentary. I thought it was really cool seeing the thought process behind some of the decisions made during the development. I wish more games had developer commentary included with them. Up next Skyrim (PS3 version) for grey. After that Resident Evil 2 for light blue. Completed colors. Popular Post pelagia14
I'd like to sign up for this challenge, please! I think this will be a fun way to pick games from my huge backlog to tackle this year. And maybe even try out a game or two based on other people's kaleidoscopes! Popular Post DizzyDavidson
Eh, screw it... I finished Farming Simulator 16 for Blue. I actually have a much better blue (me thinks) for when I actually get to it but for now I'd like to use FS16 if that's alright (possibly switch it later). If the title wasn't enough of a hint this game is about farming. It's very chill but quite monotonous so it's definitely not for everyone. I think this is the 4th entry I played in the series and I got a few more in my backlog.
Popular Post Beyondthegrave07
On the board! Kingdoms of Alamur aged pretty well for a game that's 10+ years old. Ran into some funny (and some annoying) glitches, but overall had a lot of fun with this one. I went with a speed and strength build around stealth and would definitely recommend it to others. Having the ability to throw down a smoke bombs and then sneak up and murder an enemy for free was a life saver If you never tried this one and like fantasy action RPGs, this is definitely for you. Popular Post Redblaziken8
Third game for the event done with God of War Ragnarök! Sad this one is over, was a great game with a really compelling story. Also, I was wanting to add the PS3 SR3 as a purple/deep purple when I'm done with it, just wanted to check if it would count, or if you think it's more suited to black. Cheers, and I'm really enjoying the event! ?

Popular Post Vivamp
Throwing in a couple games at once, Omno's a great adventure game that was recently added to ps plus collection, pictures of a bit of a gradient going on but I think blue fits best? Also I imagine it's fine, but for clarification could we complete our board, but then "upgrade" some of the chosen tiles?, I keep intending to have these little games as just fillers when i'm taking a break from the big stuff and then just going for the plat anyways ?

To my knowledge so long as it was completed this year then it's fair game, be it from before or after your official join date, after having a little nosy at your profile this means your plats for Lego city, Crazy Gravity, Spiderman, Pinball Heroes, Maneater, Bunny Raiders, Infamous first light, The gardens between, Donut County, Storm Boy, Spidey Quiz and Snowman story (Jeez that lists gonna rocket you right past most of us ?) should all be valid for this, but Santa claus/Miles Morales anything else prior wouldn't be valid
Taruta13
Got another entry and another shiny Surprise Traded. To be fair, I had managed to get 62% on Disgaea 5 in November when I played it for the Kill Your Completion Event. I followed a speedrun guide and found Usalia to be uber-powerful in the main story. Not so much in the Carnage Dimension, my Level 9999 Sage with 20 million in all stats was failing to scratch Carnage Dark, so I ran with Killia, got a crit and FINALLY took the no-good down. Killing Carnage Dark was the last hard trophy I had, after that all I had were 50 one-time bonuses, 100 Netherworlds discovered(I was at 86 by the time I defeated Carnage Dark) and punching people in the base 100 times. I held off on the last trophy because I wanted this game to be my 90th platinum so I had to plat three more games(two EZPZ and LEGO The Hobbit which took three days because holy cow, LEGO games are long) but I just got the platinum for Disgaea 5. So now I can relax and go off the radar for the rest of the year as the last 7 games are truly grinds. I have not even gotten any of them past 10% trophy completion as most of these were also games I played for KYC2022. The only ones that were not(and are at 0%) are Disgaea 4+ Complete and Rogue Galaxy, the latter which I had to buy. I know someone else will probably get the rainbow before me, so good luck all of you! (And yes, it's STILL Month 1 of the year, but everything I played up now, save Disgaea 5 and LEGO Star Wars, was easy and quick. ) On 1/16/2023 at 10:02 PM, Taruta13 said: Light Green: Queen's Quest 2 (DONE) Purple: Queen's Quest 3 (DONE) Green: Queen's Quest 4 (DONE) Brown: Warlock's Tower (DONE) Light Blue: Storm Boy (DONE) Deep Purple: Teslagrad (DONE) Grey: TOEM (Done) Red: LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga [PS4 version] (DONE) Pink: Disgaea 5 (DONE) Edited January 28, 2023 by Taruta13
Popular Post Cassylvania
I found a game that practically oozes light blue. Making it the third game that has something liquid-y (ink, wine, and slime). I guess that settles it. My theme-within-a-theme will be things that are wet and sticky. I can't wait for brown... Using the PS4 image again because, well, it's the same thing. Edited January 28, 2023 by Cassylvania
Popular Post Varhur
I haven't made any update yet, cuz I decided to play the casual way first, not worrying about the event cuz I'll be bound to do some completions, and, well I was right! 8 completions! The Sims 4 - still an easy completion due to gallery exploits, however it stumped me for a second due to some things about other trophies have changed (special mention to Black Widow), new methods did save me from *shudders* playing this game legit. The Horror! Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues - such a shame that the first Lego Indiana Jones game never got trophies. I was thinking about that game all the time while playing the sequel, because to be frank, it felt like it did everything worse. Levels are painfully short (3-5 minutes), cleaning hub worlds is a chore, minikits in levels are scrapped completely, free play got butchered (it's just "bring two different characters" and there's no incentive to do this beyond one trophy that requires to beat all story levels in quick play, cuz thats how its named here). And out of 6 worlds, 3 are dedicated to Crystal Skull alone. I wish for a better Lego Indy game some time after Dial of Destiny. Masters of Anima - rather approachable for someone new to RTS games (I'm that person), you control different groups of summonable guardians that have different roles during gameplay (soldiers are a cannon fodder who make the enemy focus on them instead of other more valuable units, sentinels shoot from distance, keepers get anima flames you can use to summon more units or use special battlecry moves for different uses, etc. It's not the worst, but I've come to realization that RTS games aint really for me, collectibles were a bit boring and some S rank bosses were tad hard, but overall, I don't regret spending my time in this game Divine Knockout - would you look at that - a Hi-Rez game. That is not broken! Even more, everything is doable in private matches. So I gathered few mates for a boost and got it done rather quickly. But damn that Rebound trophy, it's worded in such a way that makes it hard to understand what really needs to be done (and was a result of most time wasted of the game) Syphon Filter 3 - I assume it was good, idk, used cheat menu, lol The Last Tinker: City of Colors - nothing too special and generic-feeling kids game, not too much to say about this one, cuz the only thing I remember was the game reusing the goofy shocked animation like 10 times through the game. The Council - oh man. First 4 chapters were genuinely really good, a political intrigue with big figures in it, secret society with a mysterious benefactor, protagonist searching for his mother on an island being the base of their operations, RPG-like systems allowing you to make a character that has strengths in different places (you can make your character better at reading other people, being more knowledgable in politics, erudition, linguistics, etc.). And then chapter 4 ending comes AND THEY WASTE EVERYTHING TO TELL A STORY ABOUT, nah, not gonna spoil it, it's such a disaster that it's better you get flabbergasted at it while experiencing it first-hand, go for it. Bound By Flame - yeah, it deserved the poor ratings it got. Everything but the daggers is slow and clunky to use, companions only real use is to divert enemies and always block, cuz they will refuse to block otherwise and die in every encounter and going to lvl 19 without any skills made the easy playthrough kinda a pain. What's funny is how when I started the hard mode, I didn't notice any differences at all, maybe enemies deal teeny tiny bit more damage? I dunno. And that's 8 games done, 8 more to go. I'm still gonna probably be doing stuff casually and just do a wrap-up when I'm 2-3 games short of, see y'all till then.

Taruta13
Well, popped my first Disgaea 4+ Complete trophy so I am getting started on the next games in the list. I know I have 11 months but might as well start shoving my feet in the doors. Also, finally decided on what Kingdom Hearts game gets the honor of being represented by a shiny Oricorio - the OPG, Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. I am going to do two plays, first knocking out Proud Mode for the difficulty trophies and then doing a speedrun of Beginner mode so I can get everything else. (I'm not confident in surviving Sephiroth or the Unknown in the highest difficulty.) 16 hours ago, Cassylvania said: I found a game that practically oozes light blue. Popular Post Sylvanticore
Howdy all! I've completed a 4th game for the event, this time for the Grey section, I was kind of unsure where to put this one but looking at the image it is a lot more grey on the top and in the bottom than any other colour, the game in question is Cult of the Lamb! Here is a clearer view of the image. Edited January 28, 2023 by Sylvanticore
